Amazing breakfast! We ordered the Mayan Benedict and the French toast. Both were delicious. The service was attentive, food was good, parking was relatively easy. I will definitely go back to try more items on the menu! Line was a bit long to get in but was definitely worth the wait. It took less time than I expected for them to get everyone in.

Great service awesome food! We went on Sunday at 1pm the wait was 15 min for 3 people. We were greated right away by host, servers were quick in refilling my coffee. We love what we ordered. Ill be coming back to this place!

Great place for breakfast! I went here with a friend around 10 am on a Saturday and the wait was only 5 – 10 minutes. I was a bit worried about the wait since they don’t take reservations, so I pleasantly surprised when I found out the wait was so short. We were seated all the way in the back next to the doorway. The table was located too close to the doorway. People working there were moving high chairs and couldn’t fit. At one point, my friend had to get up and move so they could get through. I ordered the Mayan Benedict(black bean cakes, chorizo, avocado, sour cream, cojita cheese, mayan salsa) and coffee. I thought the benedict was delicious! I liked the black bean cakes instead of the traditional english muffins. The dish had a nice spicy kick to it without being too overpowering. The potatoes were perfectly cooked and seasoned well. The coffee was good too — I liked their cute coffee mugs. The service was excellent — we continually were asked for water, tea or coffee refills. It’s a great option for breakfast — delicious food, good service, charming décor, easy to find parking and reasonable prices. I’ll be back!

Went here for a brunch on a Friday and had a great time. The hostess was very welcoming and it wasn’t too crowded. Our waiter was also very accommodating and moved efficiently. I had the pujan pancake without brussel sprouts. It was very savory, not too sweet or salty. The side of potatoes that accompanied the meal had some red pepper garnish cooked with them, adding a little bit of color and flavor and complimenting the dish perfectly. My meal was cooked perfectly and I didn’t wait too long to receive it, which is always a plus in my book. Really nice place and I would definitely visit again. Not the best food I’ve ever tasted but still worthy of 4 stars.

Unique menu and the food and service was outstanding. I had a hard time choosing from the menu but got the biscuits and gravy – definitely the best I’ve ever had. My boyfriend got the pancakes with peach and cherry(possibly seasonal) and said it was phenomenal. Not sure what kind of coffee they served but it was also delicious, and I really dig the retro style mugs they serve it in. We went later, around 1:00pm and got the last table, so be prepared to wait if you’re going at peak times. I would definitely return and try everything on the menu!

You can smell the food as you walk down the street and into the doors. And the smell was delicious and I was excited. It was just me and a friend and they seated us within the minute. It was Saturday brunch and the place was packed. I got the strawberry rhubarb French toast and I didn’t like my dish, it was too sour for my taste. My friend got coffee and the chorizo skilled and she liked her dish and so did I. For both out dishes it coated a total of 28 dollars. The service was very good and they were friendly and refilled the waters and coffee very promptly. I might have just got the wrong food but other than everything else was good.

Someone must of slept in this morning. Drove in from Naperville to find the restaurant locked and unoccupied by anyone at 7:15 am. Assumed they changed their hours, but called later to learn the hours didn’t change. I found Pannenkoeken nearby was open, it was a blessing in disguise. We’ll see if I give them a 2nd chance, after looking at the expensive menu. You would think they can afford an alarm clock.

Wow I was in heaven eating the turkey club and the pancake. For the price it was totally worth! Very filling and fresh will definitely be going back.

Well I’ve come back to this breakfast place craving for their out-of-this-world bread pudding French toast! This is the best thing you can get here. Me and my cousin decided to try other options on the menu for a change… The steak and eggs was the best plate we got… On my previous visits here, they can’t seem to get the potatoes right! However, this times some of the potatoes werent as well done! The salmon plate club was alright not salty smoked salmon although I wasn’t crazy about the capers and the Sourdough stuffed french toast felt like a «grown-up Mc Griddle» but wish they didn’t have the arugula which was probably too mature since it was extremely bitter! Of both dishes, I’d say as with the last time I came here the best part might have been the orange slice and pineapple wedge both of which were sweet! They weren’t packed but it felt busy since it took a long time for them to prepare our food… Maybe next time I’ll have to get my favorite Bread pudding french toast to go!

It’s aight. The wait was a little long, food was decent, iced tea was tasty, staff was attentive. My group had 5 members which caused us to wait a little while, which is cool. The inside is wayyyyy tight, not sure that I would seat groups larger than that on a Sunday brunch service because of how tight it is in there. The food was OK. I had the strawberry-rhubarb french toast, it was sufficient. I did like how they represented Cubano culture with lots of guava usage. They also use a TON of fresh fruit which is AMAZING. Kind of silly though that they have trickier ethnic staples such as scallion pancakes which can in no way be properly represented in a short-order brunch service spot. The menu seems a little too vast for such a small spot. My iced tea was fresh and delicious, the staff was always present to refill when needed. Cost was about normal for a neighborhood brunch spot in Chicago.

Get there early, this little sweet spot gets packed. I can’t wait to go back and try their Pajun Pancake plate. Everything looked delicious!

Now that’s what I call«going clubbing»! Rolled by this neighborhood joint early on a Saturday after a 0630 flight from B-More and it really hit the spot. Great, fresh coffee from uncommon grounds, super attentive service and amazing food. Got the skirt steak skillet which came with nicely done(but a little tough) skirt steak under an egg, over avocado and home fries. The dish was seasoned perfectly and flavors really complemented each other. Blueberry hotcakes, bread pudding french toast and peach granola waffles got high marks from my crew. Even by 8AM some items were crossed off the board and by 9 place was packed. The early bird gets the blackberry Kiwi French Toast.

This was a fun and surprising find(via Unilocal)! This is a cute, quiet little place early on a Sunday morning! The food and service were great(see my photos)! Happy to have found a solid place, not too far from home!

This place never fails to impress. The staff is very friendly and attentive. Karina the hostess is the sweetest girl and goes beyond what I believe her duties are to attend to the other customers. The food is very fresh and prepared very quickly! 5 stars does not do justice to what this place really is… I love it!

Amazing bread pudding French toast and black coffee, but long waiting and uncomfortable high steel chair. I and my husband got here for Sunday brunch around 11am. We had to wait 20−30mins. While waiting, the staff asked us anything to drink, so we got a cup of coffee. It was very good! I was happy that they serve uncommon coffee which i just read about their news online. Bread pudding French toast was just amazing!!! Sour of fresh strawberry and sweetness of marmalade were perfectly matched! My husband got omelette which I think it was good, but I wish the egg was more half cooked to give more smooth and silky texture. I felt it was a little bit overcooked. We got a high table seating spot and very uncomfortable with the high steel chair. You could adjust the height, but it was still uncomfortable. So, if you wanna enjoy your meal without worrying about chair, I recommend you to ask having a regular table!

Been here twice for breakfast on a Monday. Our first visit was unfortunate in the sense that it was a holiday, they had just had their Check Please episode aired and it was the coldest day of the year. There’s not a whole lotta standing room in this restaurant. My mouth was watering as we watched plate after plate of yumminess get devoured. Kudos to them for getting what seemed like 40 people seated withing our 20 min wait. For the record I don’t wait, this was worth it! Delicious, fresh, well presented is the least I can say for our meals. I’m a waffle lover and my date is a skillet kinda guy. It was all excellent. Good coffee as well. Service was attentive. Love the décor. My mouth is watering just thinking about this place. I wish it was closer to home, we pass at least 9 breakfast joints/family restaurants on the way here. Fair warning: No free parking in the neighborhood. Metered parking on Bryn Mawr, but its only a couple of $.

Came here for brunch the other weekend with a few girlfriends. It was a long wait, almost 30 minutes. Honestly, the food was just okay and wasn’t really worth the wait. I wasn’t a huge fan of anything on the menu(which was a little limited, in my opinion), so I just got the two egg breakfast. Two eggs, scrambled, with breakfast potatoes and toast. I subbed pancakes for toast. They charged an extra $ 4 for this. I’ve never been up-charged for subbing pancakes for toast at any breakfast place I’ve ever eaten at before… Like I said, food was just ok. Eggs were ok, nothing special. The breakfast potatoes were pretty good, but mine were cold by the time I got them, which was a little disappointing. The pancakes were super delicious! Very light and fluffy, served with a few fresh blueberries and some powdered sugar. However, was 2 small pancakes worth an extra $ 4? Probably not. Overall, I wouldn’t go again. My meal was $ 15, and I don’t think it was worth it. My girlfriends said the same thing, that their food was just okay but nothing super special. Overall, probably not worth a long wait on the weekend.

Great place for Sunday breakfast. Rich menu. Delish dishes. Love their coffee mugs. Someone got a good eye for a detail. Servers and busboys are awesome. They really know what they are doing. Very friendly and helpfull. On the other hand, the girl who host there shouldn’t run any restaurant. No smile. Not even the eye contact. Feels like she is there only cause she have to. I guess the restaurant is about food and servers, not a hostess so still 5 stars! Will be back soon :-) P

Amazing ASUSUAL! Do not leave here without trying the bread pudding French toast! The portions are always great and I typically leave with enough for another meal. My sister and I both got skillets and shared the bread pudding French toast so good! I clearly have a problem I’ve been to this place more times than I can count

In 5 words: not as good as expected. Here are 3 reasons why: 1) The brussel sprouts and pork belly component(I considered it more like chopped bacon than the cut of meat with crispy skin) of my pajun pancake dish was overly salted. Did it really need to sit in a pool of(soy-ish) sauce? 2) While the colorful plating was pleasing to the eye, my brunch ended up looking better than it tasted. The potato cubes and eggs were pretty basic, and the scallion pancake was a bit heavy handed on the onions. 3) The waiter made it a point to ask me what kind of toast I wanted to accompany my meal, but it was forgotten. Check and check!
