Brazilian Bikini Waxing By Diana

I just moved to Chicago and have been looking for a good wax place. Looking for looking for least painful, longest lasting and least resulting ingrowns I used to stick to pretty high end places, I just found they put more time and energy in and focused more on skincare aspect. After going to a couple here and leaving highly disappointed, I decided to expand my search.
Diana has proven to be all of those so far… bonus: she’s under $ 100 and super quick! I will definitely be back!

*****Diana is the BEST in town *****. I been to several other places and no one comes close to her. She’s fast, professional and affordable. Parking can be hectic if you visit during business hours (mon-​fri) however Sat is the best time to make an appointment, lots of front parking.

Exactly what I was looking for! Very fast and effective service. Easy to get an appointment and Diana is delightful. I’ll be a regular customer!

Hands down, best wax for your money in the Loop! I refuse to pay $ 50 – 100 for this service, so I’ve explored other spas as I’ve found good discount/​coupons. However, I ALWAYS go back to Diana’s. Normal price is $ 45, but make sure to print the $ 40 Brazilian wax coupon from their website. ;)
Ladies, she is so fast! I’m in and out in 10 minutes. No one wants to experience this service for longer than than you have to, and I’ve had to endure other places for a 30 – 45 minute service with lots of chatting in between strips. No, thank you, get me out of here! She will let you know if your hair is too short — don’t take this personally, she’s doing her job. Even though I’ve been told that before, she still gets everything and goes over any stray hairs with tweezers. Can I point out again that she is fast?!
As other Unilocalers have mentioned, this place is not glamorous, but it’s clean, simple, quick, and gets the job done. Highly recommended.

While this was only my third full wax, I would definitely call this the worst experience ever!
This was my first time visiting Diana. I chose the salon because it was downtown, on my way home from work and I was able to get an evening appointment.
The entire visit I felt rushed. I didn’t disrobe fast enough for her. When she began, she asked me was this my first time. I said no. I guess my response gave her the go ahead to just go to town. The wax was far too hot, and when I complained she only repeated that it had to be hot for it to work.
I was uncomfortable, and she only kept TELLING me to relax, but how could I when my unmentionables are burning. I have a high threshold for pain, but I was literally in tears before she could remove the second strip of the too hot wax.
I asked her to stop. She continued to remove the wax before it hardened, but she was no less gentle. She literally ripped it off and I was left w/​blood spots on the parchment paper.
I asked her if I would still have to pay her and instead of the $ 45 for the full Brazilian wax, she asked that I pay $ 30. I paid, because I did not want to make a further scene, but I really did not want to pay her $ 30 for nearly mutilating my privates. Furthermore, I was rushed again, because I was not dressing fast enough for her after this ordeal.
I would not recommend Diana to anybody!

Went here on a suggestion of a friend. Wasn’t knocked out of the water.
I don’t need the pampering, and yes she was fast but at the end I wasn’t really impressed.
For the price I would say check it out, but I am sure there is something better.

I’ve been to several high end salons/​spas to receive a Brazilian bikini wax in Chicago, but this is by far the best place!
If you DON“T care about getting a hot cup of tea upon walking in the door or soothing forest music with burning incense, scented candles and a beautiful ambiance– Diana’s is for you! This place is simple and
*clean (they never use the same stick, etc.)
*minimal pain (wax just the right temp and good technique)
*fast
*minimal small talk
*decent price $ 40 – 45 (beats the average 60 – 90 bucks)
–If you go there during the week before 4 pm there is street parking right in front with a pay station and there is always room– However, if it is later or on the weekend it is very difficult to find cheaper parking. I dont recommend a mani/​pedi, however.

They NEVER Double-​Dip a Stick! I love this place! I’ve done a «Full Monty» here about 4 times and Diana is efficient & friendly. Of course there’s some pain, but just think of the results. And hey. you can always go to Monk’s around the corner on Lake, and have a glass of wine or favorite beverage to build up your courage beforehand.
**The pedicure and nail services are soo-​soo, I had to have them go back over my feet once or twice. so I just stick to the wax services. They also do facials, I’ve just never had time to schedule one.

I went here for the worst bikini wax of my life. I thought I would get a good wax at a fair price based on others’ reviews, but I must have gotten a different lady or something. I am used to a woman who waxes me clean as a whistle in 15 minutes flat, but the woman who took care of me at Diana’s took about 45 minutes and from the feel of it seemed to be ripping the hairs out one at a time. I would have gladly paid twice the price to get things over with sooner. Ouch!

Last Valentine’s Day, I went to this place because I wanted to be able to afford both a Brazilian bikini wax and to have my stupid acrylic nails ripped off and replaced with a regular manicure. Double torment, I know. The waxer was «all business» so if you’re a little squeamish or want more babying, she might not be for you, but I thought she did a great job and it was a really good price. The manicure was decent as well. I thought the staff was good and friendly and it was a great bargain, but if you’re looking for that cushy spa atmosphere, try somewhere else.
