I volunteer here once a month for the intake(2nd Sat of the month, 10 mos a year(no Jan or Sept intake)). The organization has been around for a really long time and has helped countless women. There are only 2 or 3 full-time employees which means that most of the work is done by volunteers which is why they have ‘rules’ for donating. Nothing goes to waste, if it’s in good shape but not suitable for their needs, they will give it to another organization who can.

This is a great opportunity to donate gently used clothes or accessories to disadvantaged women who need them to be better prepared for professional interviews. It’s so easy, you pull up to the curb and hand the stuff to the volunteer, they hand you a tax-deductible receipt, and you’re off! Check the website for guidelines on what to donate, and what to just throw away: . They accept donations on a set schedule, usually the second Saturday a.m. of each month. They also have a coutour sale, I think annually, to help raise funds to stay in business.
