Amazing fresh food! Cute interior. Friendly staff. I stumbled upon Banh Mi BaGet but will definitely make a point of going back. I highly recommend it!

The broth was so salty that I attempted to add water to dilute the taste. Then I did my best to cover the saltiness by using extra sriracha and lime and NOPE, it didnt improve the taste. I only ate ¼ of the Beef Brisket Phở until I couldn’t eat it anymore. The delivery was quick but was a waste of my money for something I couldn’t eat. I grew up eating Phở my whole life and this was so disappointing. Now I’m on Grubhub looking at what else to order to eat.

Really good. Spring roles and lychee lemonade were phenomenal. Phở and bbq pork were also really good. Way better then I expected. Definitely worth checking out

Walking around Logan Square, my friend suggested this cute little sandwich place. I’m not one to venture much with food(I like to stick to my regular food places) but hey, I’ll take her word for it. Tried the lemonade and shredded chicken sandwich and it was amazing! Will go again. The food is fresh, light yet filling, and tasted amazing.

Cozy location nice décor & atmosphere with music. Food is exceptional with large portions yet reasonably priced. I had the traditional Phó with a grilled Beef Bahn-mi and a Leechi Lemonade to wash it all down.

Wow! This curry chicken sandwich was excellent. The chicken was marinated superbly! I loved the freshness of the ingredients, especially with the cilantro added. The bread was wonderful! Not only was the food great, but the girls up front at the counter were very nice and cordial. I felt completely at home and welcome! Kudos to this little shop and may your business thrive for generations!

Worst phở I have had in my life! Never coming back here, but the place looks very nice and classic.

I’m a reasonable woman. I understand restaurants are busy and delivery orders can be difficult. But if you want a reliable food source, order from someplace else. I ordered on GrubHub and called two hours after I ordered to confirm it was still coming. I was assured that they would look into it. 30 minutes later, I called again, only to be met with a busy tone. After calling GrubHub support, they also confirmed only a busy tone. I checked their hours — they said they would check on my order… then closed. I recieved an email from GrubHub today that said the restaurant confirmed I recieved my order and I will be charged regardless. All the reviews are right — if you want reliable food, order from someplace else.

Went to this neighborhood spot on Saturday evening and was thoroughly impressed. It was just the same as the other location, in next door Roscoe Village.(This may not seem surprising, but for a small local chain to be the exact same, except for the size of restaurant, it’s a great thing.) There food was good. Again, like last time I went a few weeks ago, got the spring rolls with peanut sauce, with lemongrass chicken for filling. It has the nice lemongrass zest, along with the sweetness of the peanut sauce. I also then ordered the barbecue pork Bahn Mi. This was great overall. Meat was a little fatty and could have been a little warmer, but was overall great. This time, I also tried the lychee lemonade, which was nice and refreshing, and not too sweet. Overall, a great experience, and I will definately be going back.

What is happening to this location? My first trip a few months ago was one of the best Phở’s outside of Argyle I’ve had in the city and the banh mi was up to expectation. Ever since it has been going downhill very very very fast. We ordered takeout a few weeks ago(1 banh mi and 1 phở). The Phở broth was totally bland and tasted off from how I remembered the first time and we got virtually no meat with it. The banh mi was ok but nothing special that time. Went again 2 weeks ago to eat there and had the single worst banh mi I’ve ever had. There was barely any pork in my sandwich and what little pork was there was about 75% grizzle/fat. It was disgusting and we had to remove virtually all the meat just not to gag on each bite. With all the great Vietnamese spots on argyle andn around the city and given that I have a car, I will no longer be frequenting this specific establishment, it’s just not worth the risk going to this location.

Sandwiches are so so, meat is sort-of low end, but price is right. Personally, the two vest things here are the Phở and the Spring rolls, amazing. Super cheap, delicious and outstanding service. I enjoy the owners and the managers here as well, they are good people and always strive to do right by their customers.

Before their license was suspended back in October, I used to come here to grab phở because of the convenience in location, and it was satisfying. Not the best I’ve had, but it hit the spot whenever I was craving phở. I came back here again after they opened up after their suspension, and the phở was terrible. The broth tasted watered down and both my friend and I did not finish it or rather could not even get through half. Will not be coming back and will be making the long drive up north. Cute décor though. :)

Would be 2 ½ stars because they deliver but don’t have that option. We ordered here since they delivered and we wanted some Vietnamese sandwiches. I ordered the BBQ pork sandwich and a wonton soup. The soup was ok nothing special about it. I ordered it to see how it might come in case I wanted to try the phở. The BBQ sandwich was decent but not as good as some other places I have went to before. The BBQ pork was more mushy then I’m used to and the baguette was nicely toasted but was breaking apart too easily. The pickled vegetables needed more flavor to get that nice impact when eating them. Overall not a bad place if I need that taste. But if I was closer to home, it wouldn’t make it on my list.

I thought this place was a furniture shop when I looked at it across the street. Then I thought it was art gallery. Then I was confused, why is there a lit up phở sign? Then I realized it was a Vietnamese restaurant and got excited. I recently lived in Hanoi for a year and hadnt really had any Vietnamese food since. I love the decour. It made me nostalgic and all those pictures definitely capture the heart of Vietnam in the city at least. I ordered the lemongrass chicken banh mi and the fresh shrimp spring rolls. The food is Saigon style. The spring rolls were great and pretty big, and came with a thick peanut sauce. The banh mi was tasty and fresh too, but they put too much soy sauce in it, making it really salty. But that’s an easy fix, can just ask next time to go light. I’m new to the area and I’m glad this is an option for eating out. I’ll definitely come back.

Papaya salad with extra curry chicken. You always must order extra chicken. There’s never enough chicken in life, damn it! Good salad, fresh, and large size! Good for two meals or one if you’re not a wimp. Would give 3.5÷5.

From what I hear, there aren’t many phở places around Bucktown(where I’m staying) so this is one of the closest without going all the way to uptown. It’s also helpful that it’s right by the Logan Square cta stop off the blue line. There’s a nice little outdoor seating area on the sidewalk, but we decided to stay inside because it was a windy day and a little too close to the passing cars(and flying dust) for my comfort. The inside décor was interesting and cool though; the pictures on the wall and random objects around the restaurant has a historic feel to it. So the phở — the good part is that the beef brisket(I’m not sure why they call it that because it’s not really brisket. It’s more like shredded beef) was flavorful and they give plenty of noodles. Bad part is that I’ve definitely had better broth, and when it comes to phở, that’s what matters. The broth isn’t terrible or anything, but it’s a bit salty and lacks that MSG/umami flavor. I wouldn’t mind that last part so much if it were lighter but the more I drank, the saltier it tasted. My bf got the BBQ pork sandwich, which looked great and colorful. He said the bread was soft and made it extra good! The highlight for me was the shrimp spring rolls, and especially the peanut sauce! I love vietnamese spring rolls so I always try to get them, and this place has one of the best peanut sauces I’ve tasted. I do wish there were more than 2 rolls to an order though. Verdict — I’d probably come back for the spring rolls(and peanut sauce!!) although I’d be back faster if I felt there was a better deal on the rolls than 2 for $ 4+. I’m not really a sandwich person, but I’d be down to try their banh mi. I just wouldn’t come back for the phở.

Cute little place! Went in here for lunch yesterday and had spring rolls with beef phở. Only real complain was that I didn’t have much beef in my phở as opposed to what I’m used to at other phở restaurants in uptown. It’s BYOB which is awesome considering there’s 2 liq stores about half a block away. Shrimp spring rolls are amazing!

Not exactly sure how a good phở place has not taken advantage of the Logan Square area.(Whoever jumps on that opportunity will not be sorry, because even hipsters want soup.) Even though there are a couple limited places in Logan, nothing blows my skirt up. Banh Mi BaGet falls neatly into this category. They offer a very limited meat variety for phở: chicken or beef. Luckily, the beef phở is solid. It’s not the best, it’s not the worst. Just like my rapping ability. Average. They have the usual offerings of basil, bean sprouts, jalapenos, limes, and sauces. The portions are not huge, but definitely enough to satisfy. The best way to utilize this dining option are the following scenarios: 1. You’re hungover from«mixology night» and can only digest soup. The remedy. 2. You’re desperate for phở/banh mi and there’s no way in hell you are trekking northeast to Uptown. Local soup. 3. You need to bask on a calm patio over steamy broth when the sun decides to show up in Chicago. Ghetto sauna. So until a better offering comes to The Vietnamese Desert a.k.a. Logan Square… You win by default Banh Mi Baget…

I was elated to see this new option for lunch in Logan Square! The grilled beef banh mi was fresh and very savory. The meat is generously marinated and reminded me of stir fried rather than grilled beef, but tasted good regardless. Housemade bread is actually a soft, thin white bread and falls short of traditional French bread like I’m used to. In fact, I find it similar to Subway’s bread. For these reasons, I don’t think that Banh Mi Baget is authentic, but the food is well done, and it definately fills a void for Vietnamese food in the neighborhood. The restaurant is very nicely decorated and has outdoor seating. Plenty of meter parking on the street, be forewarned that it is actively enforced. Edit: Very disappointing phở. The beef brisket was bland and broth was bland. It had a flavor that I couldn’t really put a finger on and didn’t enjoy. I recommend ordering bahn mi only.
