How do you give a rating to a restaurant a rating if you don’t eat there. My wife and I went there Friday night to hear her co-workers husbands band play. We knew it was a restaurant, but we arrived there after 9:30 and had already eaten prior to going. We went mainly to socialize, hear the band play & have halo halo(Filipino desert that means mix. They did have food that the bands drummer provided as it was his birthday. The Filipino tradition is for the birthday celebrant to buy the meals.(I’m glad I’m not Filipino) I did get a halo halo which was huge. This was beautifully presented and delicious. It cost $ 4.95 and I split it with my wife. Even then we didn’t finish it as we had eaten earlier not knowing there was going to be food. I love halo halo. When we were in the Philippines 2 ½ years ago I had halo halo every day, sometimes twice a day.

They have this happy hour menu from 6pm-2am but it’s way overpriced. It was Saturday when I visited the place, there’s a band playing and they are good! I gave one star for the music and sound, but food is not that really special. It’s not worth the price. It’s B.Y.O.B. and they will automatically include service charge even though you’re alone.

Came here last Saturday night and there were not a lot of people eating. Before we sat down, we asked our waitress if they take AMEX, Discover, Visa, or MasterCard. They said they only take Visa and MasterCard. Their menu only have 8 choices(mostly chicken BBQ, beef BBQ, sisig, and a soup). And 3 of the things in the menu is NOT available. There was a band that was just standing in the stage not really playing anything(just tuning their instrument and playing around) just making noise rather than music. The chicken BBQ was served cold and the rice served was half(not a full cup). Tried to call the waitress but they cant hear due to the band making too much noise. When they finally noticed us we were already done eating(20mins after) so we asked for a bill. Rather than paying the price on the menu board, the waitress charged us for their«happy hour». Apparently those guys who is not singing or playing any tunes needs to be paid for just making noise in the stage. We were not happy with the services and just wanted to leave ASAP BUTthe waitress made us wait again(apparently their computer is not working so they cannot charge our cards) We had to look through our wallets for cash just to pay the bill. They don’t know how to treat their customers correctly and they don’t know when to admit that they made a mistake. Me and my family will NEVER come back here.

Just left the establishment and its a saturday night. We were expecting a band tonight but they told us they wont be here for this week. Which bummed me. Anyways, from the outside this restaurant looks dark. Their signage has no light as well. Once entering wasn’t impressed. Could use some work. Too many signs printed out with ice cream, drinks, shakes they sell posted on their walls. Most tables were reserved so if your coming with a group call in for reservations. But people started coming in at around 10pm. Since they are open til 3. Moving on to food we jist ordered the pork sisig and onion rings. Nothing much to complain about I’ve never really been ‘impressed’ with filipino food in general. Sisig was interesting they had a different take on it. A tip to the cook or owner. it would be nice if it came out sizzling and or hot. Add a bit of spiceyness and a component that gives a nice bite to it. Will be back hopefully when the band is there. Will update. Byob as well.

Had the worst philipino food ever. Ordered pancit with chicken but came out with pork, sizzling bangus is full of fish scales. The person said isn’t it suppose to have scales? Yes the fish is suppose to have fish scales but not when you eat it! Avocado smoothie is a complete disaster! Ordered avacado smoothie and advertised fresh fruit smoothie but no taste of Avacado at all. Its powdered and taste crappy. Would never go back at all wont even recommend anyone. On a Friday night and it was just us. No one else there. Would give no star if I could.

Not worth going! First off, if you decide to open a food business please make sure all food you advertize is available. Ive been here 2 times, the first time I came to this establishment was when it first opened. My bf and I ordered something, and they said it wasnt available. We almost enumerated all items on the menu. Finally they were able to serve Lechon Kawali. the second time is now, my now husband and i are here as i am writing this and honestly, it hasnt changed. We asked the server to bring us an ice bucket and 2 glasses for our beer. The long haired server was just walking around and touching her hair. Some people do NOT deserve to be opening this kind of business, especially when you dont even know how to take care of your customers. Nakakahiya. Giving one star. It isnt even worth any star at all, but cant post without giving one. So, there you go.

If I could give this place zero stars I would. Went here on a Friday night with my parents and boyfriend, walked in to a seemingly empty restaurant and was seated right away. Everything started out ok … waitress took our order, we asked for a pitcher of water(yes I need to drink that much water) and received it right away, then everything started to fall apart. We waited, and waited, and waited, and waited and still hadn’t received our food. After 30 minutes or so our waitress had seem to completely forget about us and my mom decided to take things into her own hands and walked up to our waitress and asked what was taking so long, I mean there was really no one else in the place. Waitress apologized and said it’d only be a few more minutes. 5 minutes later she comes out with a plate with 4 scoops of rice, with no food. That’s great what the hell am I supposed to do with a cup of rice? Well, another 15 – 20 minutes passes and we’ve waited almost an hour now and still without a word from our waitress my mother again has to walk up and tell her to cancel our order and we’re leaving. We put our coats on and left. A few seconds after we had walked out I believe it was the owner who tried coming out to stop us but at that point we had it. Waiting an hour for $ 18 pancit etc? I think not. We ended up at Panera 5 minutes away. WORSTSERVICEKNOWNTOMAN.

Like the others said, this place is usually dead. I’m sitting here having dinner with my family on a Friday night and we’re the only ones here. They have a list of all the smoothies they serve on the wall, yet when I asked for one, they said they were, «out of all smoothies.» How is that even possible? There’s at least 30 different drinks on this list. You could’ve just said you don’t serve them. On to the food… My parents ordered crispy pata, sizzling sisig, ginataang langka, and pancit canton family style. I ordered an individual porksilog with pork chops. Crispy pata– I feel like it tastes the same everywhere. It’s basically just deep fried Ginataang langka– Pretty good. Lots of flavor Sizzling sisig– Good! I liked it. It had a kick to it. A little on the oily side, but I think that’s normal for filipino food Pancit canton na baboy– Super salty. I couldn’t even eat it even though it had so much flavor. Disappointing Porksilog– Seriously was not pork chops. It was«grilled» pork belly and it was not what was pictured on the menu. I’m not a fan of fatty meat whatsoever so I was not happy. It had more fat than actual meat. The rice was gross. If you want good garlic rice, go to Isla Pilipina or Ruby’s. Also, my egg was overcooked. Corny, tacky décor with a karaōke machine, drum set, and a guitar. I also do not like that they blast the filipino channel on their huge TVs. I love being filipino, but there’s only so much I can take of those cheesy soap operas. Oh, now they changed the channel. One extra star for that.

I went to the location in the food court located in Chinatown. It’s a really small little shop, and a lot of their food is a little expensive, around 8 dollars including tax. The meal comes with rice, mango salsa, and the meat you want. The meat choices are alright, but my friend ordered the BBQ pork on a skewer and it was the most difficult thing my friend ever ate in his life because the pork was so tough, fat, and soo difficult to get out of the skewer. The lady was really rude because my friend asked about the stone pot, since she put the food on a to go box. Overall not going back. Not worth it.

Tried this place because it was around the corner from where I work. It took the place of Cravin’ Chicago Wings after it closed. Right when you walk in there are low lights and you see a stage with drums and guitars. I assume it becomes a karaōke place at night. Anyway, there was no customers there besides me and my two co workers. We ordered our food and it took forever. I mean it’s only the three of us, it shouldn’t be difficult. I miss Cravin’ Chicago Wings!

Found this place on Grubhub. Pancit bihon was pretty good, better than isla pilipina not as good as Merla’s. The caldereta was quite good but my favorite is still Manila Fiesta in Roselle. The wings were alright. I’d like to see some empanadas on the menu. I will order delivery from here again.

I had written a review about this place towards the end of August 2012 but for some reason it was deleted. I gave this place 1 star, and if there were an option, I would not even give this place any stars. My review was basically similar to the reviews you have here. To make a long story short, here are some, not all, of the bullet points of my dissappointment: — It wasn’t even packed and the service was horrible. — We waited for about an hour and a half for our entrée to come, even though we ordered appetizers, the entrée still came out first. The appetizers came out about 5 minutes later. — We had to ask twice for water — Food quality wasn’t good. For the pancit, we can see the knorr bouillon still in solid form. — When one of the ladies that worked there were talking to us, she had her mouth full of rice. It was pretty disgusting and thought though one of the rice grains may have fell onto my plate.

We ordered lunch from Bahay Kubo via Grubhub today. The vegetable kow was good and really had an assortment of veggies in it. The pork adobo was also good. It came with fried rice, but the vegetable kow did not. We also had some won ton soup which was quite tasty and full of won ton. They have a large assortment of lunch specials and the prices seem reasonable. The delivery did take an hour and the place is only 4 blocks from home, but they are new and I’m sure things will speed up over time. I am eager to try more of their dishes. From the Grubhub menu, it looks like they will be offering American food in addition to Filipino and Chinese. I hope they don’t spread themselves too thin.
