Ayala Maquillage

Diane Ayala, brow-​master and makeup artist extraordinaire, is now located out of Ambra Salon and Spa at 1 W. Superior, 2^nd Floor. She has a lovely space in the huge salon and spa. New location, same great service! Ambra looks like an amazing spa and I can’t wait to check out their other services.

I can’t say I’ve seen Diane (the brow master) or Michael, but I followed my hairstylist James to Ayala Maquillage. He recently came on board here as their staff stylist. I have fairly difficult hair to work with (tight curl, different curl patterns on each side of my head, long time hair dyer) but James Joseph took the bull by the reigns and made my hair healthier and happier — it’s growing like crazy.
He does awesome cuts and colour on all sorts of hair types — natural curls like mine, stick straight blondes, double processed –whatever. He’s got years of experience in Detroit and Chicago salons. I trust a man who gets hired to do the models for Jil Sander’s photo shoots.
