Very clean fieldhouse and the grounds are free of trash. Nice outdoor play area and spray pool for the kids. Large outdoor swimming pool in the summer. Friendly staff.

I like this park because of the proximity to my house but it definitely needs major updating. The pool will be out of commission this summer for the second year in a row.

This is only for the workout room. I signed up for a membership for the Jan-April 2009 session. The room is tiny, just a couple treadmills, ellipticals, bikes, a stair machine, and a weight station. However, it was never very crowded. It’s also dirt cheap — just $ 30 for three months. My problem was that it was too unreliable to get into towards the end of my membership. I’d walk to the park and find the door to the workout room locked(I wasn’t coming right at closing or opening time) and then I wouldn’t be able to find an employee that could open it. Or I’d find the custodian who seemed annoyed that she had to go find whoever had the key. After the second time of not being able to find anyone who could let me into the room, I just kind of gave up going there.

Right next to Comiskey Field you’ll find Armour Square Park, where old school and new school Bridgeport meet. TRUE porters come to work out, play games, and simply hang out. I love this place, everyone knows everyone and everyone and seems to have a nick name But i love em’, Bridgeport is Mayor Daley’s hood, and I feel like neighborhoods like this are sooo far and in between. The field house is SOOO clean! this place has it’s very own girls and guys gym, a work out room, and plenty of vending machines along with may other activies… check it out if you dare
