Great selection, good value. There were a lot of larger items that were more suited to the trade, bars and restaurants, but enough small items to make it worth the trip. Mostly I was impressed with the selection. It ranged from the popular items like globes and bell jars to more unique finds. I saw several items of interest, and was impressed with the quality of each item I picked up. The prices seemed reasonable as well, not cheap but in line with what I would expect to pay for the quality.

When I peeked into the window I was drawn right away and after hovering by the entrance for a while I couldn’t resist walking in and discovering the whole 7400 sq foot showroom of artists large canvas paintings, colorful glass art, and treasure boxes made of antique metal and wood. I was drawn to the large flasks and the colorful glass ball décor. Many unique antiques are spread out such as a large metal anchor décor with heavy chain links and tiny powder room dressers with cool metal signs. So many architectural pieces such as a hanging clock, globes, and metal letters laying around. I didn’t see alot of ceramic items but a few pieces like the woman upon entrance and the long hands in the back south corner of the showroom. It was an amazing place to discover new ideas and things for places you fancy to decorate whether a new restaurant, apartment, or lobby etc. It felt I was walking into a architectural museum and to say this is a cool place with cool things is extremely understated.

A friend of mine and I stumbled upon this place when we went to the WBEZ Winter Festival, in the space next door. It’s full of treasures! I didn’t even know where to look because there was so much cool stuff to look at. I’m definitely coming back here when I can afford to decorate and go nuts.

Scoped out the goods while in their building for a Chicago Urban Art Society show. There are tons of discoveries to be made: furniture, accents, artwork, knick knacks, etc. Some of my faves: crock from a long-gone Chicago distillery, beautiful wooden tables from our industrial past, lots of globes(I’m a map nerd), framed posters, wrought-iron accents(that were actually manageable in size), an array of antique cameras and lots of great mid-century Modern furniture. I’m no appraiser so I can’t speak to the pricing but this place is worth checking out. You’re bound to find a special piece you’ve been searching for!
