Not to toot my own horn or anything but my brows are effing perfection! Best wax I’ve ever gotten. It’s definitely a little pricey but more than worth it!

I love Alina! I was so luck to find her before my wedding and have stuck with her since. She is caring and kind and very detailed. She knows each of her clients personally and runs an amazing business and has an additional one that she will likely refer new clients to just down the road. Worth the $$.

I love seeing Alina for facials and brow work, it is so relaxing and my skin always feels great afterwards. Her space is clean, quite and cute– and I always appreciate how meticulous her work is and she educates you along the way, and never feels rushed. Pricey, but always worth every penny.

Alina is a master. She loves her work, loves her clients and is truly an expert. Her brow shaping skills are amazing! I can’t say enough about her. And her shop is adorable. Love, love LOVE her work! Regarding her pricing — you get what you pay for and to be able to get a beauty service & absolutely know it will be perfect EVERY time — how does one put a price on that? She’s a bargain!

Alina is the bomb!!! I have been going to her for about 10 years. She gives the best facials EVEREVEREVER. Her shop is adorable and very charming. It’s super clean(yeah). When you visit her for your appointment she makes you feel wonderful, as if you were the only person in the world that matters. She is so knowledgeable about all her products! She is the best in her field!!!

I only got as far as speaking to her over the phone. She’s crazy, and that’s all there is to it. She spoke for 1.5 hours about how she’s the best, and all the over waxers out there aren’t as good, she never makes mistakes, yadda yadda yadda. That is not worth $ 40/brow!

Alina is wonderful. I have been going to her for over 5 years now and she is the best there is for brows. She is worth every penny as she takes her time and gives you the best look for your face. She is a artist in her craft!

A brow goddess. There is not much more I can write that has not already been written. I saw Alina over a year ago in an attempt to reshape and define my brows. She not only works her magic though her craft, but she educates you along the way. Pricey for a gal like myself, but worth every penny and a total treat that will transform your face. xxoo

I have been going to Alina since 1999 when she was at Kiva and have learned the hard way that there is no other archer for me. On very few occasions I have tried to be cheap and have one of the skinny girls at the nail shop do my brows and was always mortified at the hideousness of the end-result. Alina NEVER effs up. Alina knows MY brows, MY face and what to do to make ME look good. No cookie-cutter technique with her. She waxes, tweezes and uses teeny tiny scissors to whip my brows into a state of unique perfection. The week after a brow appointment I’m so confident in how I look, I can go sans makeup(but only on quick errands, mind you) and am complimented on my «celebrity» brows. And her shop is so cute! I’ve never been to France but her boutique has a chic, Frenchy feel to it. The lobby/waiting area is decorated in pretty sky blues(I LOVE the blue and white striped wallpaper in the waiting area) with blood red accents. Every single time I go there are FRESH red roses on the coffee table; refreshing, herbed water(Basil? Mint? Both??) and a tasty cranberry trail mix. The treatment room boasts the same color scheme with a show-stopping chandelier directly above the treatment table. Alina also gives excellent facials(which I can no longer afford since the arrival of my little crumb-snatcher). She is a bit pricey because of the Oak Street Location, but most importantly because she’s frickin’ AWESOME!

I have had my eyebrows waxed only twice in my life. So when I look for someone to clean me up, I only go with the best. After reading a glowing review of Alinia in Chicago Magazine, I knew she was the right person for my next appointment. Her studio is on the third floor of the building that houses Lucky Jeans and George Greene. Once you climb to the third floor, you will find her studio on the right. She’s a one woman operation, so the door will be locked, but simply knock and you will be let in. She’ll likely be working with a client and say you are early, but with little time between client bookings, she can see more people. Once inside, there’s a small seating area to wait, complete with iced tea and something small to munch on. The treatment room is a well-decorated but spotless, lots of natural light and a comfortable treatment table. She works fast but is precise. You WILLNOT be disappointed. She only takes cash and will likely escort the next client in while you check out. Hands down, the best person in the city to have your eyebrows shaped.

forget what i said about Roots; this is now where i’m getting my brows done from now on. i’m not normally so fickle but my Roomie goes to her and she is a hard bug to please.(she also bought me a brow appointment for christmas and it was awesome.) the shop is a very cute place — all sky blue with red accents and reminds me of a page from Alice in Wonderland. it’s comfortably feminine without being too girly or frou frou; and men shouldn’t shie from coming here — she has male clients, too. the owner/technician used to work for a very large salon in town and left to open her own shop; it’s a testament to her talents that she brought her clients with her. her philopshy about brow shaping is that every brow is unique and should look natural. so no bizarre debbie mazar brows here. you will leave her soft, cushy table with a clear, shapely, delicate brow that looks like it always belonged on your face. besides brow shaping/waxing, she is also licensed to perform facials and other skin treatments. her products are all natural and smell so good, i just want to eat them. and the tea she serves in the tiny(yet cute) waiting area is organic and good, too. needless to say, the customer service is superb. i should probably keep her a secret, but how can i deprive my fellow Unilocalers of superior brow services?
