I went to Andrew’s last location on the corner of Lavergne and Belmont, across from Forman High School. However, I didn’t know Andrew’s has been relocated. Their Dakin location, in between Neenah and Normandy, is freakin’ close to my house! It’s in route of #80(Irving Park) bus. I haven’t validated if a major credit card or debit card would be accepted, but it’s more useful to bring cash since a classic or peanut-covered caramel apple is only one(1) buck, as of 11÷10÷15. Their apples are definitely worth $ 1 each. Caramel is thickly-coated on the entire apple. If you order the peanut-covered option, Andrew’s doesn’t skimp on peanuts. I told Mama J. not to purchase the«A*fy T*ple» brand anymore. I will start collecting pennies and dimes around the house so that I can get myself some treats from Andrew’s.

Oh. My. Gosh. I thought I didn’t like caramel apples. So many wasted years of Affey Tapple. This is the real stuff!

Lovely new Location… «Shhh» They gave me a tour. They now take credit cards. I always buy by the case and they are fresh, crunchy, and the caramel is amazing. They have been our go to place since they were in Logan Square in the 90’s. It is fall for sure when I get my Andrews Caramel Apples!

This afternoon we dropped by jewel on the way home and I stumbled on a package of Andrews caramel apples. I haven’t had these in, oh forever. I grabbed the 3 pack package and headed to check out while my husband asked«how much are those? «. I answered«I don’t care i want them». I have not had them since I was a kid. They were exactly what I remembered. So excited that they have a factory store! Best caramel ever!

The best caramel apples ever! Loved them when they were still in Logan Square(up until the 1980s sometime, I believe), then to Belmont(despite the neighborhood) and I hope they have many more successful years with their delicious treats! Fall is not complete without Andrew’s!

Andrew’s is around the corner from my office, so we decided to pop in and try it out. The caramel apples are probably the best I’ve had. The caramel had a great flavor, and was not too sticky. The apples tasted really fresh. The larger apples with the nuts and chocolate were terrific as well, with high quality chocolate and almonds. My wife’s co-worker is a self-proclaimed caramel apple aficionado, and she told me that they were up there with the best she’d ever had. We also got the opportunity to try a new turtle they are about to debut, which they are calling the Tortuga. This was probably the highlight for me, as the mixture of caramel, chocolate, and pecans was perfect. The pecans are chopped, instead of whole, which I like, and the caramel was melt-in-your-mouth delicious and smooth. I highly recommend getting these when they become available. The caramel for the apples and candies is made on-site from a secret recipe. Going to factory store is worth it, even just for the smells wafting from the kitchen. The apples are also incredibly reasonably priced, at only $ 1 each for the regular-sized apples. If you are a fan of caramel, or even if you aren’t sure you like caramel apples, I’d highly recommend trying these out.
