American Pest Solutions

Three people in our town-​home association said they had a good experience with George and his company. George, the owner of American Pest Solutions, came and gave a convincing presentation and we agreed to hire this company.
George gave us details of the three points where he was going to place baits.
The association board asked for a detailed estimate and contract.
George did not provide anything but a piece of paper saying that we owe him $ 750 — no information on what /​when he would do, and no information about what the guarantee mentioned in his brochure covers.
When he started work (without a contract) he changed his mind because he wanted to place baits in places different from what he had initially said, and he wanted $ 300 more because he had forgotten to bill us for materials.
I thought this was preposterous because a person who has been in the business for 30 years should be able to give us a detailed quote and if he did he would have noticed to have forgotten something like 30% of the total.
Moreover, George pitched us a «maintenance agreement» repeatedly, where we would pay him $ 1000 per year but did not provide any information about the guarantee mentioned by his promotional materials.
Update: Upgraded to 2 stars because eventually he did the job as initially agreed upon.
