Altai is known for their beautifully designed coats that are super high quality, so when I heard they were coming to Chicago, I was so excited. Picked up an awesome wool coat that I wore the hell out of, even though it was toward the end of the winter season. I love the cut, color and comfort and I know I will own it for many, many years to come. I see they are now carrying clothing as well, so I am going to have to pop back in ASAP to check them out. If they are anything like their stunning coats, I will be in heaven. You get what you pay for and you will not be disappointed.

Love. This. Boutique. Beautiful collection of sophisticated wool coats and scarfs for women. It seems their collections have recently expanded into clothing and accessories too. So far I can speak for their coats/​scarfs, which have that flowing softness you would expect from a 100% double lined wool coat. Worth the price especially since the styles are timeless. Their scarves are also fab. Great to match with your new coat or buy as a gift during the holidays. I receive constant compliments on my coat and scarf throughout the winter. They also had some spring and fall coat styles that were stunning. Can’t wait to get back to Altai and see what’s new!

The owner of this store has a father who makes many of the items by hand, what an admirable and beautiful art. This makes a purchase all the more worth it. The store does not just contain coats; but also tops, blouses, skirts, dresses and elegant jewelry. The prices are also extremely generous, and something people with all budgets can work with. The quality and design of the items in Altai Coats are simply beautiful especially when you consider the fact that many are made by hand which makes them unique and charming. Many of the fabrics that are used in the clothing items here are reminiscent of the Far East. Very, very beautiful.
