I understand it’s a Friday night after work but I had to wait 30 minutes at the bar to get a drink. Then when I ordered a drink the mess it up. How do you mess up a dirty martini? And I got it in a rocks glass… Yea… Classy The bar had staffed 2 bartenders on a Friday night. Genius. Probably won’t come here again unless it’s absolutely my last resort.

I don’t go out of my way to visit this place(it is the second closest establishment to my office) but it is perfectly fine to grab a drink, eat bar food and watch the game. They had a great $ 5 ½ lb cheeseburger deal for a while.

A great way to catch a Blackhawks game! Lots of enthusiastic locals, abundant TVs, & friendly staff! We had the portobello chicken sandwich. Amazing! Definitely recommend.

I’ve been going to Allstars for the last 7 years and I got to tell you, the food has alway been on point. The cook is a personal friend, so I know him as a man, he predcates his life off of excellence. The place is littered with TV’s and great fun… If you are Downtown Chicago check’em out. Tell’em Kevin sent you.

This review is for a delivery order through Seamless. Since the food arrived within the 45 – 60 minutes the website estimated and I cannot comment on service, these two stars are solely for food/value. We ordered chicken quesadilla appetizer, the California chicken sandwich, and the buffalo chicken wrap. The appetizer was okay — really nothing else to say there. My California chicken sandwich was«meh» as well. My main complaint is that the guacamole on the sandwich had the top stem piece of the avocado in it. Somehow the sandwich was a bit dry even with the guac on it. The amount of fries it came with could feed me for a few days. BF got the buffalo chicken wrap which I didn’t try, but he thought was average. The meal seemed a little on the expensive side for not being that good. The $ 42 bill included a $ 3.50 delivery fee, but over $ 38 still seems a little on the steep side. We’ll try someplace else next time we get dinner delivered.

I will never go to this place again! I also would never recommend this place to anyone. I have actually been here a few times due to it being close to me but each time got progressively worse. I will mention the Pros(although not very many) and Cons. Pros Great location downtown Drink and foods Prices good(especially for downtown) Great place to watch a sports game enough TVs everywhere Cons Horrible horrible customer service Drinks are sometimes watered down depends on whose making them Food is below average Foods prep time is slow, don’t go hungry and expect to send your plate back at least once because the waiter/waiteress will probably get it wrong One of our visits didn’t accept their advertised groupons for the full terms Oh did I mention horrible customer service?

I was very disappointed with the service received at Allstars Sports Bar & Grill last night. We will not be going back. Saturday night, my wife and I were invited to attend a birthday party that started at 8:30 in the evening. Me being a die hard Bulls fan, recommended we get there a little early to watch the Bulls playoff game which started at 7pm. We sit a table to watch the game. Ordered our drinks. I wanted to order some appetizers, but the waitress was no where to be found. They didn’t even approach us to ask us if we wanted anything else. Little while later, the door host(large framed man dressed in black) requested that we pay $ 10 a person to watch the fight? A. We were there for a birthday party and not to watch the fight. B. The second reason we were there was to watch the Bulls game. C. We were buying drinks and intended to buy food. Now we have to pay $ 10 a person because the fights are being shown? I really hate to write bad reviews. I can’t get over how disappointing it is to be out on a Saturday night with your wife after a long and difficult week at work. You go out to refresh yourself and spend quality time in a nice downtown location, only to have the rug pulled from under you. I will not be recommending this place to my friends and family.

I am only giving 1 star based off the burger and only the burger. First off this place has the worst waitstaff I’ve ever encountered ever. I’ve had better and more efficient service at a roadside diner. I went in with a few friends a few weeks ago. They were promoting a burger and fries special which sounded good. The burger and fries were good, but the soda was flat. We had a waiter with some glasses tend to our table. He was rude, unattentive, and just outright detremental to the business itself. He had an attitude about everthing. He literally asked our group«is that it, or are you ordering more because you keep having me come back and forth?» Really? Are you not a waiter? Is it not your job to tend to your table? Needless to say no tip was given to this person. Although the place has potential to be great, The waitsatff is horrible. I wouldnt be surprised if they spit in you food. I most definately WILLNOT ever return to this place. The owner should seriously consider re-evaluating his staff.

1 Star for I will not be going back. Some friends and I happened to wander by because a couple of them live close by and we wanted to watch some basketball at a bar. The food we ordered was pretty bad. My burger was dry and and not tasty. The fries had a really strange aftertaste, described in my words as the umami/MSG flavor when I eat seaweed in Chinese seafood restaurants, and I was not the only one to notice the oddity. Whatever seasoning they’re putting on the fries was extremely off-putting to us. The nachos were a big mess of soggy chips and sloppy toppings that lacked any real flavor. Service was actually okay, quick and efficient. Maybe because there weren’t many people there. There are a lot of TVs so it’s easy to get a good view of whatever game you wish from almost any seat in the place. That’s all. Not worth the time in a place like downtown Chicago where bars and sports bars are aplenty.

Apparently the owner is quite the class act. This was his response to me after reading my review. Hi my name is Zeze I’m the owner/mgr. of Allstars. I have been in business for over 20 years you comments are insulting. My family has been in the restaurant business since 1971 we currently own 7 different restaurants in Chicago. IFYOUAREGOINGTOTAKEJABSAT A PLACEANDNOTEVENREACHOUTTOTHEMGMTTHEDAYYOUWEREHEREISBASICALLYHYPOCRITICAL. If you were so unhappy you should have brought it up to mgmt that night. I take 99.9% of feedback constructively it’s real important for us to know what we are doing right and wrong. Thanks for your comments.

I came to this pretty nice bar about a week ago for a holiday party and left with an overall good feeling. It is definitely a nice sports bar, at least eight flat screen TV’s throughout the spacious dinning area and plenty of seating to boot. The night I was there for a holiday party, the bar I believe, catered the food, which consisted mostly of pasta, BBQ wings, bruschetta and other finger food. It was solid, above par for typical ‘bar food’. On that night also there was room enough for there to be a dance floor and a station for a DJ. The music was so loud at times that it was hard to speak to someone sitting directly next to you but that could have been the decision of the DJ. The location, in terms of parking, is reasonable. While street parking is scarce, there is a self parking garage adjacent to the bar where prices are reasonable. Definitely check it out if you are in the downtown area, its more scale, less rowdy than the neighborhood sports bar, or it seemed that way on the night I went, where there were fans in the building mingling among the holiday party goers.

A neighborhood bar. In the Loop! Those two factors alone are enough to get me in the door. What keeps me coming back? Good service, daily specials, plenty of seats, and a solid menu. Added bonus: Allstars’ kitchen is one of(if not the) last kitchen to close in the Loop, so if you’re hungry and in the area, stop by!

Really not very good Like if your friend converted his basement into a bar by going to costco and getting a bunch of TVs and setting them to ESPN. Yay its Allstars now! Also your friend is a shitty cook and is slow and nobody likes him so his basement bar is always empty.

Went here after work for some drinks and appetizers. Used the Unilocal deal for $ 5 off. The server we had was very nice. We had a good time, but that was because of the company not because of Allstars. I would probably come by here after work for some beers and to watch a sports game, but I doubt I’ll come back for cocktails or real food. The drinks were weak and the guacamole had no flavor. Chips were stale and salsa tasted out of a bottle. The saltless warm pretzel and cheese dip was decent, but how can anyone screw that up? Also, while our server was very nice and helpful, the other server there was in the bathroom for I don’t know how long braiding her hair and when I went in she seemed oblivious to the fact that we needed to get to the sink to wash our hands and use the soap dispenser. Quit daydreaming and braiding your hair at the pace of a snail and get out of the way. Who wants to hang out in a bar bathroom anyway. I was weirded out. I give this place a big«eh.»

I privately call this Amnesia Bar. I’ve sat at that bar at least fifty times since moving across the street a year ago and it took over ten months for even one bartender to recognize me/my drink, and the rest are still clueless. After introducing ourselves at least the first half dozen times, it got to be a joke! But, it’s cheap and across the street, plus the people-watching can be ever so amusing, so what can I say? Oh yeah, «I’ll have a Lite and a shot» since the odds are they won’t remember!

Mediocre food and poor service Went to watch the Big Ten basketball tournament. There were lots of TV’s and they even had the audio on for the game I wanted. Thats about the best part of the whole experience. We walked in at 11am and there was only one other customer in the whole place — yet the server gave us a hard time for pushing two tables together in order to have the best TV viewing position. We were given menus and then he disappeared for 10 minutes. 10 minutes isn’t awful in a crowded place, but there was only one other person. Food was ok. Server checked on us once while eating, and we sat with empty glasses for over 15 minutes. Took over 15 minutes to get the check. Definitely not the place to go if you want to get in and out.

Zeze, the owner, was very friendly, funny, and seemed like he knew what he was doing. I heard they had more locations Place is cozy, lot of seatings &TV’s, and most importantly, great beer selections. Great place to hang out to wach some games or UFC fights. Did you try their Bomb, some type of energy drink? He should sell the recipe to Red Bull. Need lots of energy for long sessions of lifting those heavy weights… uhhh, some might call them beer mugs and large burgers… but they are«heavy» nonthelss. :-) Too bad I can’t get them around where I live. ½ pound burgers are great. I would have paid more for it. I don’t know how they make money selling it for $ 5 with fries. This low price theme continues with almost all the stuff they sell, judging from their menu and specials. Great place to hang out with friends to watch games and have few bottles, or even by yourself like I was, since was just passing through Chicago.

It is to bad the service was so slow and waitress didn’t know what she was doing, as this place is right by my office building and could have potentially been a regular go to for me and some coworkers. Even with a groupon-now for $ 10 off food/drinks and some of their beers on special for $ 3 etc. on weeknights, I probably won’t be back. Here is the breakdown: Friend and I arrive, weeknight around 6:45pm, not very busy, not even half full. Sit down at table and try to catch waitress’s eye for menu. Took 10 – 15 minutes for her to come to our table, and when she did she asked what we wanted to drink. As we asked for menus, she noticed then that we didn’t have any and said«Oh, sorry.» She came back with food menus only, then asked us what we wanted to drink. Duh. Friend asks about drafts they have and gets Green Line, and I wanted a bottle so I had to ask for the drink menu too. Why didn’t she just bring a drink menu with the food menu? She promptly drops drink menu with me, leaves. She comes back 5 minutes later to take food order, no beer in hand for friend. We each order food and I order a Negra Modelo. 5 minutes later she comes with my Modelo, but no beer for my friend. When asked, she said the«tap is being changed, it will be a few.» 5 minutes later, food comes(that was the fastest part!). Still no Green Line for friend, so my friend says I don’t want to wait can you just bring me a Stella instead? Another 5 minutes, I have almost finished my beer and we have taken several bites of food before my friend gets her Stella. We have been here for over 30 minutes. Ouch. Cashing out was painful and another slow process, as applying a groupon for the $ 10 off took forever for them to figure out, and a manager to explain. But man, am I glad we didn’t pay full price for this slow-ass place. They can’t expect repeat business for the«working happy-hour crowd» if someone has to wait in an uncrowded restaurant/bar for over 30 minutes before getting a beer. I gave them 2 stars for the burger, it was tasty.

Originally posted July 2011, but revised 10÷14÷11. I work in the building, and we order their pepperoni pizza 1−2x a week, for pick up. I call ahead and they say it takes about 15−20min for it to be ready. Eating pizza in the place-it’s usually 10 – 12 min to make a pizza. I’ve eaten their mini burgers, salads, garlic bread, pizza, quesadillas, all your typical bar food. Service is friendly. If you have a coupon or eating an item on special, make sure to CHECK your bill, there was some confusion on how to ring up the specials-(3x already). If you saw a special on FB or via email– tell them AHEAD of time, because oftentimes the server isn’t aware of that special. The place a TON of tvs, awesome for sports watching! Update 10÷10÷11: If you go to eat dinner, in the month of October, there aren’t ANY specials. They do have daily drink specials/lunch specials that seem good. Update: 10÷14÷11: I LOVE the pizza here. It’s the best part! I come here 2x a week, and something always is messed up: the server doesn’t know the specials, the pizza that I order isn’t light on sauce, the server doesn’t know how to ring up the specials, the pizza isn’t a large. All things that can be easily apologized for, but I’m tired of it. I eat the same thing 2x a week! The icing on the cake was their post on FB last night(now removed), complaining about ‘a grumpy ass customer who wanted to talk to the manager’, and how the mgr responded, even using the word B8tch in the post. Really? What a stupid, unprofessional, childish thing to post for all to see. I’m done eating here. I’ll walk to find another restaurant for my 2x a week dining out, when at work.(and yes, I wrote an email to the company on Unilocal beforehand.)

All Stars is a decent little addition to 205 W. Wacker. I’ve been in the building for 3 years and am glad I now have a place to run downstairs and watch a couple innings of the Cubs games to get away from work. Do they entirely know what they are? Not really, but it’s nice to have the walk-up deli side of the restaurant along with the sit down and watch tv and be served side of the restaurant. I can tell you the food that I have tried has been good. The chicken sandwich is always cooked nicely. Tender breast for sure. The breakfast sandwich is righteous as well. It’s real egg and a nice tasting bacon. The tuna is good and so are the salads. Nice and fresh with a good little variety. I must say that I am glad they are in the building. It’s a nice change vs. Ricobenes and I look forward to utilizing their services much more in the winter when I don’t feel like going outside. Keep it up guys and Let’s Go Cubbies!!!
