This shop moved down the block to 1135, it is now on the West side of the L stop.
I have had surprisingly good experiences at this shop. It is $ 16 for a men’s haircut, and it is a classic barber shop experience — scissors and razors. I’ve asked for several different styles over the past six months, and each one turned out great.
I’m giving five stars for the haircuts, because that’s my reason for going to a barber shop — however, they don’t do much with the shop, seems like they could spruce the place up a little more.

I had my first experience at Alex Barber Shop last week, and I have to say it was only so-​so for me. I thought the pricing was a little high for what I got done, and the barber, though he did a good job, wasn’t very friendly or talkative. I did walk out of there happy with the way I looked, but I really didn’t get the barber shop experience I think I had been hoping for.
