I went here to re — fill my 7 – 11 coffee cup. The sign on the hot chocolate advertised a $ 1 refill, but when I get to the register, the cashier charges full price. When she asks the mgr about the promotion and indicates that the register has an option for her to HONOR the promo price on the hanging sign or charge regular price his response was«Charge her whatever price is highest».Like really… .really sir??? Terrible customer service and overall business acumen to price gouge a customer right in front of them. Is the extra 43 cents worth coming off as a total jerk. I pay reg. price all the time and it’s no biggie… but when there is an advertised promo hanging in the store I don’t think it’s too much to ask for that price. In sum after pointing out the hanging sign I received the promo price which came to $ 1.08 .I paid $ 1.25 and told the mgr to keep the pocket change he’s so desperately after. .There are 7 – 11’s on every corner. .I WILLNEVERSPENDANADDITIONALCENT at this location

Everything was closed except 7 – 11. Actually ordered a pizza. The guy surprised me by telling me it would take 2 minutes. What?! Anyway, it was great! Imagine that, I get stuck in Chicago, famous for pizza, and end up eating a really good pizza from 7 – 11 !

What’s a girl to do when in need of massive quantities of Red Bull on a Saturday at 3am in this area of the Loop? Oh thank heaven for 7-Eleven(har.har. shoot me). Seriously, though, this is the only place open in a four block vicinity of my office on Saturday and Sunday, and after 8pm on the weekdays. No restaurants, no walgreens, nothing. 7 – 11 is it. Because it is my lifeline when I’ve been awake for 30 hours: yay, I am a fan. (and those 40’s of OE also looked mighty tempting. Yum)
