This is a car show for hot rods and dragsters. They close down chicago road between 10th and dixie hwy for the ¼ mile drag and burn outs. From the way this was run, I thought it was the first time they did this kind of thing. But it’s not. It’s just Chicago Heights way of doing business. This was like AC/DC playing at Chuckie Cheese. They had about 250 cars of all sorts. That was great. But they had them lined up where all the people were standing to watch the races. So when it was their turn everybody had to move out of the way. Then they had absolutely nobody watching the entrances. So people in their family cars were driving through the crowd to find parking where all the show cars and attractions were. Finally about 45 minutes after the cars were suppose to have started, they get them lined up. And what happens. Four broads come out of the woods and start walking down the track. Are you kidding me. They had no one at the other end of the track. Every officer and staff member were all at the starting line, because they wanted to watch the cars. The whole crowd was standing next to these cars waiting to drag. No bleechers, no crowd control, no brains. The burn-out were cool. So were the races. But this would have been a much better time if someone knew what the hell was going on.
