Cute place! The chicken pot pie was delicious, as was the apple pie. I loved all the aprons. The sandwich was alright but perfect for what we wanted(comfort food after traveling). I would come back to try more pies but probably not any of the other food.

First, IGNORE the commercialized Shari’s Pie’s restaurant right along Lincolnway, this place is in the strip mall behind it. Take the time to find the right place — the payoff is WELL worth it. I took no chances and ordered the same as the main picture for this restaurant, which is sweet potato pecan pie. Most businesses that make pies do not use real lard nor butter but cheap substitutes, but because this restaurant is in sleepy Cheyenne, here is the place you want to go for homemade everything. This pie is truly buttery, just sweet enough, the crumbly pecan topping and whole pecans with a little dollop of freshly whipped cream. The interior of the restaurant is sparse and hung with old fashioned aprons, a nod to homemade. And, the homemade bread is outstanding as well. Fluffy, moist, with a hint of rye mixed with wheat and real butter, the slice you get with your entrée is something worth the trip. I cannot say much about the entrees, I had a bacon wrapped pork loin entrée which was mediocre. But even so, I was ravenous and that pie! At home I’ve made everything from tiramisu, to flourless chocolate cakes, cakes that require endless steps and over a dozen eggs, cookies, royal icings, pretty much you name it. My husband says the apple pie was very very very good as well. He ordered the regular, not the apple crunch. Pie Lady restaurant, do not compromise or cut back. Just advertise more. And point out that you are located in the strip mall NOT alongside Lincolnway.

I am big on trying new places especially while traveling. I’m not a fan of going to your average joe drive-thru so am always looking up local finds and let me tell you this place is a treat! Right off the freeway in a nearby shopping center, it’s easily accessible. I had the chicken pot pie and my father had a burger. We also got a side of chili and have nothing but good things to say about all of it. After dinner we also shared a piece of coconut cream pie, it was perfect! You could tell it was homemade and was not too sweet. I would give it 5 stars but the décor is a bit dated.

I forgot to rate this place while we were driving through WY? Shame on me! This place is great! The husband and I were driving from CA to WI, and WY is a pretty large state with little to recommend it(at least near the highway). I looked on Unilocal for anything that might interest us, and this place came up. We decided to make the trek north, to try it out, and it was totally worth it. The place is in a strip mall, so it’s not very interesting, except for the collection of vintage aprons lining the walls, which are fun to look at. But do not let this deter you! Everything baked was AMAZING! I had the chicken pot pie, and a couple teasers of pie, and it was worth every calorie. If you are on that long stretch of 80, and are willing to take a short detour for food, I recommend this place!

I don’t like giving low stars on a review unless the food is terrible. Well. These guys get two stars. I had the patty melt and my friend had a chili burger. Both burgers were cooked to jerky. The fries were anything but home made. Service was good and the folks were nice. I’m afraid until they cook better food I won’t be back.

Passing through Cheyenne on the way to New Mexico and found this treasure! I had the Rueben and my companions had the chicken pot pie and the homemade beef barley soup. We finished off with cherry, apple, and lemon meringue! Delicious! The service was great and we loved the aprons!

Such a great little place, everyone was super nice with great service. I tried the pot pie and woah! So good! The pumpkin pie was fantastic and my boyfriend loved the chocolate pie. All in all pretty wonderful.

I don’t remember much of the pie, but the carpet was dirty, dirty! They have ugly furnishings OK service. They should get some miss matched antique tables and chairs and some pergo flooring. Give it some character, I might remember the pie!

This place is amazing. Thank you Unilocal!Passing through I stopped in and had their Chili with cornbread. Chili was delicious and the cornbread was hot and melt in your mouth. The honey butter and honey were an added special touch. It’s not a fancy place, but looks like a grandmas house. The food reminds me of what your grandma would make if you had one if those iconic grandmas. Stop in and enjoy one of the three soups(they always have chili plus two others) or one if the many other menu items. Yumm!

My husband and I had lunch at The Pie Lady today. It was our first visit, since we are new to Cheyenne. The food was delicious. I had a Egg Salad Sandwich and my husband had a Grilled Cheese. Service was good and so was the pie! Will definitely return.

Excellent chicken pot pie for lunch, as well as the sandwiches which were fresh and good sized portions. Unfortunately the dessert pies are just so-so. The crusts were not flaky, they were flavorless. The cherry pie filling tasted canned. The banana cream filling was better — rich and flavorful. The chocolate pie filling was too sugary without a rich chocolate flavor, tasted like cheap chocolate pudding. In terms of the pies I expected more from an establishment that specializes in pies, but the lunch offerings were quite good!

The Pie Lady is a nice little diner. The pie boards are always full of great flavors, but they seem to run out of the same ones every day. You also have to take a chance that your favorite will not be available. The aprons they use to decorate are fun to look at, but make for awkward wall hangings. I’ve tried their soup and sandwich special. Nothing to write home about. In fact, you could easily make these at home yourself. The soup tastes like it’s from a can. The sandwiches are what you would pack yourself if you had time that morning. They even serve bagged chips with their meals. But the Chicken Pot Pie is where it is at! You have to come early in lunch service because once they are out of it, you have to wait until tomorrow for another chance. There are many elderly people who dine here, so make sure you come early to have the best selection. I prefer their frozen pies to the fruit ones. Key Lime Dream is a treat if you ever get the chance to try it!

Pie is one of my favorite things, so I was really excited about The Pie Lady. The Pie Lady was lonely on the Monday night that I went. My coworkers and I were the only people there. The regular food is pretty regular. I had one of the specials of the day, twice baked potato soup in a bread bowl, which also came with a side salad and a teaser slice of pie. The soup was a little watery, the bread was on the bland side, and the salad was a little sad. I wasn’t that disappointed with dinner because I was there for the pie. I’ve never seen so many different pie options. I upgraded to a full slice of pie and went with the peach. Our waitress, who was very sweet, offered to heat the pie. The pie was tasty, but pretty regular too, although I admit to being a pretty picky pie eater. I also had a bite of the German chocolate pie and the apple crunch pie, both regular tasty too. Getting to choose among so many different kinds of pie surrounded by walls covered in aprons is an experience.

Had the prime rib sandwich. It was fatty. The mashed potatoes were barely edible. It was almost $ 20 with the tip! The teaser slice of pie was okay.

I highly recommend this place for the pies. They have lunch and dinner too but I haven’t eaten anything but pie yet. The pies are excellent and change daily. If you want a good dessert, go to The Pie Lady. I have tried the lemon crème, the banana crème, the german chocolate and the peach. All fantastic. A slice of pie is only $ 3.50 and you can get a teaser slice for $ 2.10.

Eaten here probably half a dozen times and never thought to review it… duh? Was just there this past Friday and it was good, as it always is. I had the chicken pot pie(delicious!) and topped it off with a slice of peanut butter cream pie. Boy was that tasty! I also recommend their prime rib sandwich, which I have eaten in past visits. You really can’t go wrong here, their pies and food are really, really good.

We went here at the recommendation of one of the employees at Sierra Trading Post while shopping. It is a unpretentious place with good homemade food. I had the barbecue pork sandwich that came with chips and pickles and my friend had the egg salad sandwich. They were both very good and huge portions. The meals came with a pie«teaser»(a small slice). The pie was great. I would go here again. I think Sierra Trading Post should get some brownie-points for sending customers to The Pie Lady. We saw 3 other tables of folks that we also saw shopping at Sierra Trading Post.

Check the Pie Board for fresh pies daily, worth the road trip detour!
