Holiday Inn Express & Suites Chestertown

So usually I stay at the Comfort Suites next door, but when I went to make a reservation they didn’t have any openings for today, which is strange considering that their parking lot has only 4 cars parked. Oh well their mistake looks to be my gain.
My room is huge, with a huge King bed, and an awesome bathroom that looks like it was remodeled yesterday. Not to mention that the room is immaculately clean.
I was welcomed at the front desk by Theresa, a very polite and bubbly girl (who was mighty cute as well… okay, I’m sometimes swayed by a pretty face and lovely smile)!!!
I have the advantage of being able to stay at hotels at the Government rate (a little side benefit of holding a Military ID Card), and Theresa asked me if I was here for business or pleasure. I told her that I was a Nurse Practitioner student, studying with several of the local doctors & nurse practitioners. Since Theresa is a nursing assistant, she was really interested in striking up a conversation with me.
After that she promptly told me about breakfast in the AM, fitness center, and the indoor pool.
Okay on to the important thangssss… Breakfast… much better than Comfort Suites next door. Not only was it actually edibile, but it actually tasted rather good too. They have real scrambled eggs (not egg discus or frizbies), suasage patties, buttermilk biscuts, sausage gravy, hot fresh cinnimin buns, several cold cereals, yogurt, skim & 2% milk, decent looking fresh fruit.
Okay I am used to seeing everyone with the waffle maker, but this Holiday Inn doesn’t have one. What they do have is something I’ve never seen before… an automatic pancake maker… Yuppers, you push a button and almost 2 minutes later you have two pipping hot pancakes pop out of the machine on a conveyer belt right onto a plate. The texture was slightly rubbery, but they were fresh and hot. Add butter & syrup (or in my case Orange Marmelade) and they were quite good (nothing 5-​star mind you, but in the day of premade egg frisbies, this was great)!!!
My room was huge, extremely clean and comfortable. Super fast free WiFi, which is a great benefit so I can do my homework.
All in all this is a great franchise for Holiday Inn Express. There is no doubt, I will use them again!!!
