Is this place even open? I called their phone number listed here and found the number to be disconnected. I then showed up there after 11am on a Friday and found this place not open! I peeked through the window and the place looked kinda shady :| what’s going on?

This place was no good. I wanted some Thai, but was relcuatant to try the curry at a new place. I decided to try the Thai dynamite, which tasted like straight MSG-loaded chinese carryout. The chicken was chewy, the rice was far overcooked and there wasn’t enough vegitables(the best part of the dish).

We have eaten here once and ordered take out once. Pad thai and curry were great both times. It is the only place in the area you can get a decent thai dish. We ordered a Chinese dish and was ok but nothing special. Feel free to be aggressive ordering your spice level as they seam to error on the milder side even on entrees with 6 to 8 stars requested.

This place is a hidden gem in Chesterton. If you are reading this, you should go eat here. The owners are a very sweet family making excellent food. There is a combination of Chinese, Thai, and Japanese style food on the menu, but most importantly to me, they make some mean tofu! We had a garlic tofu and a vegetable tofu dish and both were exceptional. The tofu was cooked to perfection. The interior of the restaurant is super cute, painted in bright colors and very clean, and the service was friendly and prompt.

My lady and I were out for a drive exploring the area more yesterday evening(5-17-2015), thought of going to Chesterton, we seen many other restaurants that caught our eye down down and then in surrounding areas, but VV Asian caught my Lady’s eye, and we have not had Asian cuisines in a while. So we figured we give them a try. As soon as you walk in you are greeted, which is a plus with me. We let the woman working the front know we were knew and were given menus, told if we like take a seat and look over the menu, we did, and well decided to order some food from them to go. My Lady order Thai Mango with Chicken, I ordered the Thai Coconut Curry, with chicken and noodles rather than rice. When asked if I wanted red or yellow curry I was unfamiliar with the difference and asked if one the cooks could explain, and well the gentleman was nice to come out and explain the different and recommended the yellow curry. We as well ordered appetizers of their fried calamari and spring rolls. I got to say it VV Asian has some awesome food in my opinion, they make their sauces fresh, ingredients are fresh and I can tell from the way the food tastes everything is fresh. Of course when we got home we both sampled another’s meal, and her dish of the thai mango with chicken had great flavor in my opinion, my dish of the thai coconut curry with chicken had some great flavor, forgot to mention, I was asked the heat level I wanted, between 1 — 10. I love hear in my food, but rather try the heat levels one by one. So I went with a 6 and I can say the heal slowly creeps up after one bite, but I surely can handle more heat. The dish had just the right flavors in opinion. As for the appetizers, we got their order of 6 spring rolls which were great, as well the fried calamari, we explained to them our experience with different restaurants and the woman these explained how they make them, and well I got to say from how some over fry, and others have tough calamari, VV Asian has same awesome calamari in my opinion, as it is done just right, you don’t see oil and over fried calamari, they do it just right. Just know you get a choice of sauces if you want them two of the sauces you normally will see at a hibachi grill is this mayo that has little of a sweet taste(not easy to describe), but as well there is a ginger sauce and I got to say I love the ginger sauce over all, but I am a huge fan of ginger. You as well get sweet and sour if you like too and I like their sweet and sour sauce. We got soy sauce and a sauce comes with the calamari as well. Now while wait for our food, I asked if we can get a smoothie which I am a fan of smoothies, I got the mango smoothie. Now I seen they have a Thai Tea, was not sure I wanted tea, but my Lady wanted to give it a try once it was explained how it tastes, of course I tasted it as well, then at one point because a look of happiness I guess you can say I asked for a thai tea as well. The flavor of my mango smoothie was good, but the Thai Tea honestly made me with I could make it myself I love the flavor of the tea they have. To give an idea from what the woman stated an dis correct in opinion is you kind of taste a pumpkin taste like pumpkin seeds in sense, but at one point I taste a bit of vanilla flavor their too, it is an interesting flavor. I can say we will go back and order more food. Even though we may be moving eventually we will make it a point to order from them again, because other restaurants out by out that serve food close to an Asian Cuisines, do not have the same flavor as VV Asian. Also in their facebook page it shows they deliver food, unsure the area they deliver too, but in general the food is great in my opinion, if you have not tried them and you happen to be a fan of Asian, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Thai, or Vietnamese food, give them a try if out in Chesterton, IN.

Have ordered from them several times, food is always delicious. My husband and I really like Thai food and have gotten several of their Thai dishes and have not been disappointed. Food is always ready for carry out very quickly and is reasonably priced.
