You can’t beat the location across from the park and by the tracks. Rail-​fanning and clock watching. No smokey environment today. I like to park in the back as a back door man. You can see this place in really old photos of down-​town Chesterton.

Chesterton at its finest. Dive bar. Cheap night out. Good drink a good staff and also creepy drunk but that would not let me and my group be.

Flannery’s is the complete dive bar, starting with the bright green outdoor décor, including the clear thick glass squares on the front façade. Inside is more green, friendly staff, a noisy and «diverse» neighborhood bar crowd, clouds of cigarette smoke, catchy Jukebox selections, down home prices (beer for me), and of course cash only. My clothes will never smell the same…

Best place to go for a cheap night out! .75 draft beer. Great Jukebox. Darts. What more could you ask for? They now have food, but I don’t think I’d go there.
