This store is helpless at customer service. I tried to return items ordered from Lands’ End yesterday. The clerk at the service counter in hardware told me to take my items upstairs to return, because her terminal was not working. I waited in line upstairs while the clerk processed several purchases. When I got to the front of the line, the clerk told me that because I have jewelry items, I would need to return them at the jewelry counter. After I waited a few minutes at the jewelry counter, a clerk came over and started to process my return. Then she said that«the system is down» and she could not make the return until it came back up. At that point I asked to speak with a manager. The manager on duty said with all the registers down, they could not process returns. They could figure out sales tax so people could buy things, but not take my return? AND they make me walk to 3 different registers before they suddenly«discover» the registers don’t work? Idiots run this store, and they hire lazy people to «serve» their customers. Don’t waste your time here.

They have some great deals today. The store is well laid out and it’s nice to actually be able to move around while you shop. The registers had lines but the cashiers were pleasant and fast. It’s also nice to have the printed coupons so thay you can use them at the store or online

I don’t know how much further Sears can fall without it going the way of the dinosaur… I went in there to return a Kenmore Elite Mixer in which my girlfriend got for Christmas. We wanted to get the KitchenAid instead. Her mom ordered the mixer online, and had the E-Receipt. We took that in, along with the unopened mixer. The lady at the counter was one of the most ignorant rude people I have encountered in recent memory, when it comes to the customer service profession. Even though the paper we had clearly stated«This is your receipt» she disagreed and said it was not. My guess is she probably couldn’t read… She got more rude as I tried to explain to her that it was the receipt. I decided, rather than lose my temper and make a scene, just to leave. As I walked out the employee was yelling rude childish remarks to me. Very unprofessional, and that sealed Sears fate in my book. I will not return, nor order anything from their terrible online service either.
