I’ll admit to a little bias up front. I went to LCN as a kid so I remember the family. My wife’s family lives next door to them. So just keep in mind that my review may be through rose colored glasses. That said we had a great trip to Paste E Paste when we went to Michigan for the holidays. The family greeted my wife and I like we were family. They chatted while I was busy drooling. We ended up with: 2 bags of homemade noodles. Gnocchi Ravioli 1 meat sauce. The Gnocchi went with the meat sauce for a side dish for Christmas. I always want to like gnocchi at restaurants. But it never tastes good. Always soft and mushy. These had plenty of texture. Red sauce was not the right choice but I didn’t know what was in my parents’ pantry so we used what we had. Ravioli I made a homemade marinara. The raviolis were great. They were expensive but after trying to make them at home a couple of times I’d much rather let someone else do it and pay them for their time. Noodles were exactly what I want from homemade. Great texture. Not quite as… floury as when I make them. We used them in alfredo(that one I made from a cream sauce… I recommend a bit of blue cheese but my taste is not the same as the in laws). Overall the price was definitely high. So if you like to have lots of pasta or have a large family this may not become a source to get all of your noodles. But it is a great treat once in a while.

Love this place. Yes, I’m biased. The family lives down the street from me and I’ve known them since I was a kid. However, how can you complain about homemade pasta when you ask for something and the owner says, «take this bag, I made these this morning.» It was fantastic pasta, and delicious sauce. We tried cannolis, gnocchi with red sauce, ravioli, and plain noodles. They were all delicious. The plain noodles held up great and didn’t get mushy when we cooked them, or even when we reheated them the next day. The gnocchi were perfectly done, and the ravioli was awesome. It is all a bit pricey, but I know how much work goes into homemade ravioli so I’d rather buy it than make it. The entire kitchen is nut free, including the cannolis, which was awesome since I’m allergic to pistachios and most people put them in cannolis. This place isn’t cheap, but for homemade pasta for a treat, this is a great choice.
