I stopped for a frozen coffee drink and bagel this morning. I was confused because I don’t go there often. I asked for a frenchtoast bagel and cream cheese with my drink. I waited a bit and left quickly because I was late and thought it had taken extremely long for a bagel and cream cheese. There weren’t that many people in the place. I got to my office and there was a disgusting egg cheese thing on my Frenchtoast bagel with cream cheese. Do they not sell just bagels. The guy at the register didn’t know about the coffee drinks and neither person at the counter were customer friendly. I will NEVER come to this location again as I have had poor service in the past. I didn’t listen and should have on the cost. I just threw $ 8.00 worth of gross whatever it was in the trash and will go hungry until lunch. I called to inform them and it rang until it hung up on me without anyone answering.

I like Einstein Bros. Bagels. I really do! I just don’t like this location. I’ll describe to my last visit which will probably be my last visit to this location. It starts off with many bagel flavors not available with a 20 min wait they say till more comes out which is an ongoing theme at this location. I get a soda and coffee no ice in the soda machine. No biggie this happens time to time when place get busy. So I tell one of the workers about it and he has a confused look on his face. Now that was just odd I see him talk to someone else and ice does come out. So I’m sitting there they deliver our food to the tables. We are both missing our sides I get up right away, «Hey you forgot our sides» and show them the receipt. «Oh sorry here you go.» ok no big thing I can live with that. I sit back down my wife tells me they gave her the wrong dish. Sure enough doesn’t match receipt. We elect not to fix that error. So we are eating and my coffee taste a little different then it does elsewhere and I start getting stomach pains. I stop drinking the coffee. I figure I had too much coffee already that day(Coffee is one of my vices sometimes too much in a day and my tummy talks back) So my wife drinks the coffee. Oh did she pay for that. She was in pain 30 minutes after drinking it and in pain for hours afterwords. Back to the dinning experience when we where done eating we dropped off the baskets at the trash can when we remove the top cover paper the baskets had hardened sticky food on them. Freakin’ gross they are not cleaning like they are supposed to. So NO! No more visits to this location for me.

So my husband and I went here for a late breakfast. The people working were very rude and would roll they’re eyes at us. They didn’t take our order correctly and wouldn’t fix it. The only reason we went to this store was because the one on Olive closed. I won’t be going to this one again. I will go to the one in Clayton before I go to this one again.

There are bagel shops and there are bagel shops. The bagels are fresh, they are properly made and the staff knows how to make coffee correctly. I guess I am in awe of a chain, whose employees try so hard and succeed in being great members of the community and helping the customers the way they do. I don’t know how you can be at work in the middle of the night, open at 5 a.m. and still have a smile on your face. Certainly, there are going to be tiny glitches ever once in awhile but they are extremely rare at this store. The servers are great and the store is as clean as an operating room. Cudo’s to the Einstein Brothers on Clayton and 141, now if only the shopping center owners would let them put up a big sign, everything would be right in the world.

Food was expensive and not good; my bagel was doughy and raw tasting. And the butter was 65 cents! The tables were dirty, the ceiling was leaking, the bathrooms weren’t clean, and the toilet paper dispenser was oddly low and the soap was oddly high. If the public spaces are not well kept, it makes one wonder what the back rooms and kitchens are like. worst place ever!

I come here much too often because my daughters like their bagels. Otherwise I would probably never come in here. I have had some very disappointing service at this place in spite of the consistently good quality of the bagels. Some of their staff is far to blithe about attentiveness to customers. I know the bagels and breakfast sandwiches are good here but the management needs to oversee the staff better and prioritize the timeliness of delivering their product to the customer.

I love their blueberry muffins with whipped butter. I can’t afford the calories anymore so someone please have one for me.

I am taking these guys down to a single star based on their inability to maintain inventory levels on up to 50% of their offerings on the weekends over the last few months. Sadly, the items they seem to be out of the most are the ones that we most want to buy. I’m switching to a different Einstein’s location for my weekend bagel run after today’s experience.

I have had NY bagels and this is the closest I have been able to get to a Bagel as good as one from NY! Their asiago and everything bagels are my two favorites! And their cream cheese spreads are awesome!

Absolutely the best place for great bagels and coffee! My favorite is the everything bagel with smoked salmon cream cheese. So many more coffee choices than Bread Co.

Clean, line moves well, friendly servers, etc. I like it that their iced coffee is self-service so I can get refills. You dont see that too many places. I get the bagel thin sandwich with egg white, asparagus, and swiss. It’s good and better for you than most of their other offerings. I tried Tween’s chocolate chip coffee cake last time I was there and it was yummy — they warm it for you which makes it even better.

You know, it it easy to forget about this location as it is tucked back in the shopping center on Clayton Road. Heading out of town, we all met here in the morning to hit the road. The location was really clean and the staff was very nice. We did not have any issues with service, as the line moved very well. We got the girls a cinnamon sugar bagel with cream cheese for the drive(nothing like loading them up with sugar for a road trip) and we split a turkey sausage bagel sandwich. Really tasty. Not to mention, the coffee was just put out so it was perfect for the drive. Great beginning to the day.

I ordered the chicken salad sandwich. After about 5 minutes one of the workers asked me what kind of bagel I wanted it on. I replied Asiago. He said they didn’t have that. So I had to walk back in line to see what they had. I was the only one in line when I got there. I watched as 2 guys kept looking at the order screen and then started some other random work. after a good 10+ minutes they gave me my order. It was dry, maybe 10 chunks of chicken, then it totally fell apart when I tried to eat it. NOT worth the $ 8.00

Ok, so I admit that although I’m only giving them 2 stars, I still go there all the time. Some of the people who work in this location are soooooo rude. I went in there today and there were 5 people behind the counter, and one in front organizing the juices. The guy in front seemed to be a manager of some type. I was totally being ignored by all the people behind the counter and the person in front of the counter looked at me and very politely said, «are you ready to order», I said yes. He looked at one of the people behind the counter and said, «can you take her order», and she looked at him and very loudly yelled«CAN’T YOUSEE I’M DOINGSOMETHINGELSE». His response was, «well there are 5 of you back there, one of you can wait on her». The person who ended up taking my order and the person who checked me out were both very nice and polite, I was appalled with the first woman’s attitude. She’s there all the time and always has an attitude problem.

Freindly, funky employees, with a touch of MOLD. Yup, thats right they served me black MOLDY panini bread on a Egg Panini. Fortunately, the woman at the register(I believe was the manager at the moment) acted supprised as I was, refunded my money without skipping a beat when I returned it, and offered me a «free whatever» card or coupon which I refused. I mean seriously, how can they miss black MOLD on a 1⁄3 of the bread on the sandwich, AND serve it. As someone who isn’t a regular, and have had other bagel items there, I don’t think I’ll be returning with that memory stuck in my head. The service is hit and miss, even on non-peak hours. The employees are nice, but it takes them a while to switch gears to help(me) at the register, er I mean«order here» area. Another wierd thing is when I ordered a «Turkey Bacon Avacado bagel sandwich» I was reminded(more than once) that this sandwich is «turkey bacon» and NOT«turkey AND bacon» more than once which I thought was a little unusual. The avacado was fresh as the sandwich maker cut a new avacado, and asked«if I liked avacado». I said«yes», and he replied that«I’ll set you up», and he did with a generous portion of avacado. That sandwich was good, but since the order I placed today had MOLD, it makes you wonder what else ain’t quite right. Meanwhile I’ll stick to the McDonalds across the street, Bread Company or Starbucks in the AM.

I enjoy this location. It’s nice, it’s not really busy anytime, and I get a decent amount of food depending on what I order. It is hard to get back onto Clayton after leaving let alone 141, but there are plenty of side streets to recoup time. Just be careful of the windy streets and crazily laid out parking lot. However, I always get different service here. Being a regular there now, I notice the same people working. There’s this sweet middle-aged woman who is super nice all the time, while there is one girl who is really nice but you can tell she doesn’t like it too much when you order off the menu. Then there’s someone who always seems out of it, yet makes a great sandwich. So really, it’s up in the air as far as service. Still, a great chain and a nice chill place to hang out!

You may not even know this location exists because it’s really hard to see from the road and almost impossible to make left when headed east on Clayton during certain times of the day. However…if you get a chance… please stop in and enjoy. Einstein Brother’s fancies itself a café, but let’s just be honest… you’re going there for a bagel and schmear(no, I’m not being cute… that’s what they call it!) Skip everything else. The lunch is SO over-priced(and not that good) and the coffee drinks are a FAR cry from Starbucks(as in they’re kind of gross). Get a bagel. Get four bagels. You’ll be so happy you did. I can’t decide what is my favorite, but here are some of my regular bagel/schmear combos: *Chocolate Chip Bagel with Strawberry Schmear *Three Cheese Asiago Bagel with Jalapeño Salsa Schmear(kicks St. Louis Bread Co’s ass!) *Everything Bagel with Garlic/Chive Schmear Make sure you ask for your cream cheese on the side and schmear it on yourself — otherwise you’ll be choking on the stuff as you eat and will want to throw up once you’re finished. There’s no such thing as moderation when it comes to schmear at Einstein’s. But seriously, enjoy. There’s probably one near you!
