Cutest store in Chester! There is so much to choose from here that I could stay for hours. The perfect place to grab a gift(they even have a «wish list» book so others can buy you all the things your heart desires). Every time I go in there are new things to see from artists all over the U.S.

Bought an adorable little bird’s nest necklace yesterday at the Country Living Fair in Dutchess County. Everything was presented beautifully and I wanted so much. I decided on the birds nest because it just spoke to me. Now that I have seen the products, I will be able to buy some more online. I hope the artist comes to NY again.

Twist Style is an awesome locally based jewelry company. Owner Maryellen Kim makes fabulous vintage-inspired jewelry from some old and some new beads and charms. You’ll often see Richmonders wearing her«Vintage Grace» collection. These necklaces feature a hand-painted flower charm on a strand of hand-knotted vintage and crystal beads. The pieces have a neat old, garden-y feel. I have one with a pale pink flower and dusty blue beads. I get lots of compliments every time I wear it. She also makes similar pendants with Ming Era Asian pottery from the Yangtze River in China. The prices aren’t bargain-bin, but considering these are handmade items using quality materials, they aren’t bad. My necklace was somewhere around $ 50. She also now has a collection called«Coastal Wedding» with headbands and jewelry for brides. The pieces seem appropriate for a relaxed, outdoor wedding and therefore could be incorporated into a regular wedding as well. Maryellen sells her products at her studio, online and at lots of local events. She’s also a member of the Richmond Craft Mafia so her designs are usually on sale at those events, too.
