Knowledgeable staff all greet you with a smile. Feels like you are home w/​friends. Many different craft selections. Home made pretzels are delish!!! A good complement to a brew. Sandwich selections are really tasty & the variety of peanut offerings are out of this world! Only wish they had more space for larger groups. I mean… who doesn’t like to hang out w/​friends & down a few. Haha! This place is a go-​to MUST! No regrets.

Good selection of tap beers and bartender was very helpful (always smile). This place could be difficult to find unless you know the area. It was a great recommendation from friend. It is a tiny little place and with odd opening hours on the weekend. It is good for small gathering and meet up. The beers are not expensive and many of them near 8% alco or higher.

The location is TINY. The beer is great. The bartender was helpful, and very efficient. The selection of beer was amazing, and the staff was knowledgeable about them. The sandwiches, however, are something that should be passed over. The grilled cheese was impossible to eat cleanly, and not very tasty, and the Beast was a mess. While they sound good on paper, they are unfortunately poorly implemented by a location that doesn’t have a real kitchen, and used a poor excuse for a panini maker to grill a $ 10 sandwich.
Bottom line: Drink the beer and stick to the cheese plate.

This place is on point! I literally just created a fucking account to give this place 5 stars. 16 beers on tap but don’t let that fool you they have over 100 bottled beers probably closer to 200… Haven’t seen their back fridge. and we ain’t talking that coors shit either (though on closer inspection they do have coors light stowed away in the corner). Everything thing in that fridge is worth trying. Best part is if you like a beer you can buy a six pack of every type they carry. If you see a good looking six pack they have a machine to cool on of those bad boys down so you can try one before you buy the six pack. I will be back. The world is a better place for this place that’s for damn sure!

I had heard and read good things about it and had a chance to go there a few nights ago. Smallish but inviting interior and a nice outdoor patio. The beer selection is very good but you have to read it off the tv monitor. They post the info one at a time and I would rather read a menu. I pulled up their website and picked two beers: Not My Job (brown ale) choosy mother (porter). Liked both choosy mother had peanut butter flavor that was different but good. Had the roast beast sandwich very meaty and tasty the mustard is good but spicy. Will be back and want to check out their bottle selection.

Love this place… Excellent selection of brews! We also get kegs here from time to time and James is super helpful checking availability and recommending things we like! We have brought the kids in a few times as well and have felt very welcome!

Great beer selection!!! The meat and cheese platter is a sure bet. Super friendly wait staff. Wish we lived closer we would be regulars. The turkey Apple sandwich is also very tasty.

Awesome place. Great crafts on tap and bottle. Small bar area and some tables. Also have a great selection of craft bottles/​cans for take home along the back shelf and wall. Staff is extremely helpful and knowledgable. Full 5 stars and absolutely recommend. Do not pass this place up if you are in the area!

Good spot for a beer and a sandwich and the beer selection is amazing whether in bottles or on one of their 16 taps. The beer selection is well rounded and the staff is very friendly. The location is nice but small but I guess that is part of the microbrewery scene, sharing a great beer experience with like minded people. Definitely hit it up if you get the chance.

This place is wonderful. We’ve been here several times, sometimes to sit at the bar, and sometimes just to grab some bottled beers. The staff is so friendly and very knowledgeable. It is very clear that they have a love for craft beer. Great beer. Nice cozy atmosphere. It’s nice to have a place like this in the Chester area.

I love this place! They have a great selection of craft beers and the staff is really friendly. The inside is kind of small, but there’s plenty of room to relax and enjoy some brews. There’s a patio out back to take in the nice Virginia weather. They also fill growlers and have a bottle chiller if you’d like to try something before you leave. There is food, but it’s limited to sandwiches with chips. The sandwiches are kind of small and not really worth the value. The cheese and charcuterie plates are really good and worth every penny. I will definitely be returning to check out their great brew selection.

The proprietor James has a uncanny ability ability to find outstanding brews from around the county and world. I’m yet to come here and not be exposed to a craft brew that blew away expectations.
This has become my favorite pub in Chester.

An absolutely excellent edition to the Chester area. We really don’t have anything like it in this area. 16 craft beers on draft, 8 of which are craft beers out of Virginia. You can also get any of the beers to take home in either a 32 oz growler or 64 oz. growler. One of the bartenders i I talked with said they swap out a beer on tap a day so there’s almost always something new. They have $ 10 flights. You can sample any 4 — 4 oz. beers for $ 10. All the beers I had were excellent.
There menu was rather limited to sandwiches and such, but they keep it local. The pretzel I had was out of Powhatan and the peanuts are from virginia diner. They have some great local foods on the menu. The pretzel I had was excellent. Service was excellent. Definitely check it out.
