I stopped by the Bagel Café yesterday and purchased two sandwiches. While eating the turkey sandwich I got for myself I bit down on something hard. I pulled a 1″ metal wire out of my mouth that was embedded in my sandwich. Not a pleasant experience, will not be returning.

I was going to award 4 stars, but since I drive 13 miles out of my way to get a bagel here, it would be wrong to not leave a 5th.
Yet another restaurant/​deli in a strip mall, because Central, NJ. The bagels are the perfect size and consistency. The outer crust is just a little crisp but the bagel itself is chewy. I get there pretty early before I go to work, so they always have a good selection. My favorites are the everything and the wheat.
They make a good breakfast sandwich and turn around time is very quick, even when there is a line.
This is located in the shopping plaza across from the Gap & Ann Taylor on 206 North.
Highly recommend.

Bland, stale bagels. We are originally from NY and know what a good bagel should taste like. These are not good at all. Better bagels at the Starbucks next door. And the place is dark, dingy, and not inviting.

Food fine, ambiance lacking. The counter girl was smiley and nice. A little steep at $ 9 for iced tea and egg/​cheese. My sandwich was prepared fast and tasted fine. They even carry the unsweetened iced tea that I like but the atmosphere is not great. Tables seem crowded near entrance, it’s dark and the random staggered/​crooked wall art needs inspiration.

Friendly service, great food. I always order off the menu, turn salads into paninis and paninis into salads, am never disappointed.

Food is great, but atmosphere is lacking. Layout inside could be better. Also, new signage would help drive business. Menu is laid out in a confusing manner.
That said, fresh bagels and delicious sandwiches should be advertised better as the good is very good!
