*great family owned restaurant *at home, friendly atmosphere *friendly & welcoming staff. *cheese dip is AMAZING, *guacamole is made in a unique way, ask the waiter to tell you the secret ;) *salsa is made fresh every morning, as well as all fresh cut vegetables(not frozen) lettuce, shredded cheese, etc. you get the point. *oh & the white sauce not to be mistaken with the cheese dip is delicious and also made with ingredients, you wouldn’t think we’re in it. it’s delicious food because it’s made with fresh delicious ingredients, while still maintaining its traditional Mexican American restaurant options, the chefs always seem to add the right amount of real authentic Mexican at home meals, which–(every Hispanic will tell you is completely diff. from what we eat at home) all entrees are great but my favorites by far are the –burrito fajita(mix) no beans –shrimp quesadillas –BURRITORANCHERO(spicy) –seafood chimi –chorizo quesadillas –coctel de camaron overall try it out, it’s a great restaurant.

Very good Mexican food and fast service. I usually get the fajita burrito which is excellent. The salsa is probably my favorite part of the meal, definitely above average.

Been here many times before. Tonight was just not a good experience. Maybe it was due to such a large crowd. Our order was wrong. Our order was wrong and late. Our table was split into two booths because there were no clean tables nor tables together for our crew. I had to ask three times for extra napkins. The straw wrapper was IN my drink. Tonight just was NOT on it. Saddening. I expected better from such a popular place. So I’m boxing it up and leaving… Should have just cooked at home. Lesson reinforced: listen to intuition next time.

These folks are really good. They serve excellent food, and the wait staff remembers you when you are a regular. They have a really good chicken mole enchilada that I really like. And their sweet tea is good too! A great place to eat. Good food, good service. Me encante Jalapenos! :)

Stopped by here on a lark with my teen son while staying at the Hyatt next door(actually, he did eenie-meenie-minie-mo, lol, and thank goodness Jalapeños won out!). Ambience: Nice, roomy, casual, not too loud and not too quiet, and matched the Mexican theme. Server: I wish I could remember her name because she was terrific – friendly and conversational(but not overly), worked with our vague requests of ‘what’s good’ and made spot-on recommendations, was attentive but not overbearing, was clearly an honest fan of the good, and enjoyed working there(or at least that’s my assumption from her great work). Food: If you try nothing else, get the«Mexican Salad.» I asked what that was, expecting to hear about shredded lettuce in some taco bowl with a bunch of greasy ground beef and cheddar cheese, but no – what a pleasant surprise(that’s when I started realizing we’re in a great restaurant)… Iceburg lettuce chunks with slices of fresh sweet onion, cucumber, tomato, & avocado, wth a few jalapeños all tossed in an olive oil and lime juice dressing(which must have had a secret ingredient or something I don’t remember). There were options to add grilled chicken or other proteins, but I ordered salad only. I don’t want to sound like some raving maniac, but it was sooo good. My son tried a bite and had the same reaction. Seriously, try it if you go there. Very highly recommended. The appetizer quesadilla(beef) was well seasoned and paired nicely with the Mexican Salad. The beef could have been drained a little more, but hey, we were on vacation. Recommended if eating light – it was probably an 8″ tortilla folded over, and there were entrée portions at 11″(but there’d have been no room for the salad if I’d had the entrée size, lol). We don’t hardly find fried ice cream back home in Minnesota(ironic, right?), so my son and I shared a large scoop of it for dessert, and it was mouthwatering. A nice blend of cinnamon, honey and some other spice(s) topped with whipped cream and served in a taco shell bowl. Highly recommended. My son had a fajita dish, which he enjoyed with a side of fried jalapeño poppers(I tried a popper and liked it too). The portions were very generous, and we boxed a lot for our trip home. He also asked if they had Jarritos to drink(they weren’t listed on the menu), and the server affirmed they had some but was apologetic they didn’t have his first-choice flavor, even though the drink wasn’t even a menu item – that’s class! A nice touch on the complimentary, starter, homemade corn chips was that we were served the salsa in a small carafe, so we could pour it into the dipping bowl as we needed it, keeping it fresher, I think, and insuring that we didn’t have to constantly ask our server for more(although I’m sure she would have obliged, probably without our even needing to ask). Price: We did splurge because it was the last night of our vacation, but the appetizer and entrée prices are comparable to Mexican chain restaurants, but a heckuva lot better tasting and served right. This was a really great experience, and I highly recommend visiting the restaurant. I hope my terrific experience doesn’t set your expectation too high. Boy, I wish I had some more of that salad though!

By far the worse Mexican food I’ve ever had. Bland and gross. I rarely toss food but the tacos were aweful. They should be ashamed.

Wow. How hard is it to mess up delicious fish tacos? Jalapeños has managed to do a pretty good job of mangling it up. Four bites is all I could manage. Service was good hence 2 stars, but I am not positive I’ll ever be brave enough to try anything else on the menu.

Very good! Brought out chips and salsa before we even had a chance to sit down. Great service for a family of five. Kids meals were cheap and plenty especially the chicken tenders. We had sides of guac, rice, beans, tortillas… all excellent.

Delicious food. Very accommodating for my party of 14 but the service was lacking. We were very understanding because we were a big group, but he’d take 1 or 2 people’s orders and rub away before anyone could get a word in, making it take forever to get everyone food and drinks. It turned into is kind of yelling foot something whenever he rushed by. As a person with experience serving, he definitely could have done a few stops and getting everyone’s needs and then filling them. But I digress, the friend ice cream is on point and the flautas were huge and yummy. The burrito blanco, however, was just veggies and shredded chicken with no sauce and was quite dry. Overall good experience, good food good drinks. I’d go again but not before looking around at a few other places

This is by far the best mexican restaurant in the area. They have the best salsa. I love the beef chimichongas. Very friendly staff and great service.

Good food and awesome prices! Their salsa is pretty great too! I got a taco salad which was ok – I should have gotten it with grilled chicken, since I’m not a fan of shredded chicken. If I’m back that way I’ll definitely try their chimichangas.

I figured this would be a good place, nope. The good — Portions are good, the free chips n salsa got to say above average. The Bad — The place has a little wear and tear, a bit dark inside. We were a party of four so it was tight seating in the booth. The beef platters were lacking beef, flavor was bland and the complimentary salad was bathed in dressing. Too much. Anyways my advice eat at the Taco Bell across the street. We spent about $ 75 and give it 2 stars, no return trip for this TexMex family.

Well this review is based on one dinner at the restaurant. I had the steak fajitas, and must say the steak, peppers and onions were pretty darn good. The rice and beans not so much. I wont be getting them again, but their chips and salsa made up for that downfall. The salsa was awesome. Spicy, saucy, good smaller sized chuck, and they drop a good sized container of it off at the table to keep the bowl full. I will be returning, but the thought of the less than mediocre rice and beans will probably drive me towards ordering something like a combo where you can choose whether or not to get the accompanying sides. The location of the restaurant is great for the adjacent hotels and there is plenty of parking.

Cheap low end food. Almost not recognizable compared to real Mexican food. Cheap cheese on nachos. Low grade beef in steak tips. No taste in beef burrito. Would not recommend.

We stop here every time we drive through VA on 95. Easy access from the interstate. Amazing salsa. My friend loves the Carnitas. The service is sort of hit or miss, but we’ve never had anyone«rude» and the food is always good. It’s in sort of a strip mall but once inside the atmosphere is nice. The key lime mints are a fun little treat.
