Ryan, working remotely, was able to cure persistent malware problem making my computer act not only weird, but also very disruptive to my work. Despite having all kinds of protective software, running on Chrome(Windows 7 Ultimate) when I clicked on a hyperlink or a tab or even something at random anywhere on the web page, a window would pop up telling me I need to update this and that. It was not the same web page every time I had the issue, but the bad pop ups where from the same group(
etc.,). Ryan found out that somehow Chrome was retaining the malware(despite resetting Chrome settings), and was able to properly reset Chrome. No issues since then.
