Pastrami, Muenster cheese, Pumpernickel bread toasted is where it’s at! You won’t be disappointed!

Really enjoyed my food here. Ate twice this week while visiting on business. The Rueben was excellent. My colleagues French fries were excellent. Earlier this week I had the Chef Salad which also was excellent. We hit right at rush hour so it was a bit slow but the wait was worth it.

Not good. My sandwich was small, and had some sauce on it that drowned the bread, soggy. My dad had the corned beef he said it was really bad, I tried a bit of it and agree, it was awful. My sister had a drink with her meal, it was a bottle drink, meaning no refills. Cheese on our sandwiches cost extra… will not return.

The food here good. It’s a local dive place that has good sandwiches and subs. They have more than just sandwiches and subs but haven’t tried them yet. Will be back when I’m in town.

I have been by this restaurant twice on friday nights, and each time they stated that they should be open and were not. I saw people inside and they did not respond to the attempts to open the door. I can understand if something happened where they had to close the restaurant, however there were no signs and no attempt to communicate any issue for the early closing. Not going back. While there each time I saw more than 10 customers turn away due to the early closing.

Great place for a sandwich 5 minutes off the highway. I eat here every time I’m passing through. Try the grilled roast beef and house made potato salad! Friendly staff.

Such a great lunch spot with so many different options. My grandparents and I go at least once a week, and have never been disappointed. I love the pickles they bring to the table, we practically fight over the last one!

We originally stopped here for dine-in food but subsequently ordered take-out two additional time. The sandwiches(pastrami and cheese) were great and the fries were crisp. I wasn’t quite as excited about their burger. Yes, I agree that the décor is dated, but I really care more about cleanliness than lamp fixtures. However, the reason I feel they get 5 stars is because of the staff. They are positive, friendly, and customer service oriented. I’ve never felt like a server and cashier genuinely cared about me having such a positive dining experience and I wish I had more opportunities to dine-in. I certainly will return regularly for take-out.

Ate lunch at the Central Park Deli; glad we got there early because there was a line waiting for tables when we left. I ordered an Italian type sub sandwich & it was pretty good; meat & cheese was plentiful, bread was fresh. Could have used just a bit more«dressing» or something; maybe some type of oil based seasoning because it just needs something to take if from good to outstanding My husband ordered a Ruben made with pastrami and was disappointed. I tasted it and the pastrami was off; chewy without much flavor and grainy in texture. The bread was fresh and the sauerkraut was good, but it couldn’t overcome the off taste of the pastrami. We shared an order of fries; they were fresh & hot, but just your standard frozen restaurant fries

This place is defintely a staple in the Chester area. The sandwiches are just the right size and are delicous to boot. I always go for the turkey ruben and my wife gets the ruben. There other sanwiches are good as well but I have a thing for turkey;o) You cannot go wrong with a visit here.

I’ve been going there for years and it is terrific. The fresh pickles and deli sandwiches are superb. Last night I got the corned beef, pastrami and Swiss sub. Fresh quality deli meat make it top notch. In an area dominated by chain restaurants it is a nice to have a family run spot to go to.

The place could stand to be remodeled. However, it’s clean. Napkin dispensers are on the table so you don’t run out. The staff is friendly. Service is fast and food is consistently good. The homemade potato salad is real good. Love the free pickles, with free refills. Usually make this our Friday night sandwich dinner place.

Disgusting the place is always so dirty, waitress drop ice on the floor and never pick it up, they spill ur drink and leave it there for u to clean up yourself with your sleeve since they don’t bother to give you napkins. can’t believe this place is still in business!

The sandwiches here are wonderful! My dad got a Reuben sandwich and I got a pastrami sandwich. We both gave each other the other halves of our sandwiches so we can at least taste both. They were very delicious! The restaurant is clean and is a great place to go to for lunch. You can either dine in or get carry out.

Delicious sandwiches. I love the specialty sodas and candies they have inside. The prices are very very reasonable, and the portions are big. I usually get the pastrami on rye or a reuben. They also serve pickle chips at every table. Definitely the best sandwich joint in Chester, I just wish that they were open a little bit later.

Avery had been here for lunch one day and said he wanted to show me where he goes for lunch during work. We were fortunate enough to find a parking spot right outside the door, which was good, since it started pouring during our meal and we had no umbrellas! The restaurant was packed when we arrived, and we had to wait about ten minutes for seats to open up. Clearly, Central Park Deli is super popular! I ordered a smoked salmon lunch, which came with potato salad, coleslaw, and some bread. I also ordered a bowl of potato and bacon soup. The soup was piping hot(just the way I like soups), but I think it had been overheated at some point, since the cream had separated out and coagulated into small droplets. Nevertheless, it was still tasty. You get complimentary pickles with every order, and they come in a metal bowl as appetizers. The pickles are sliced up into coins, and they are very crunchy! The food is not too expensive, and portions are generous, so the value is good. The restaurant itself is large and has all wooden tables and benches. The basket lamps also stood out to me. Service is quick and attentive, and I had a great dining experience!

I don’t visit this establishment often, but am generally satisfied when I do. Most often, I go with the rueben when I visit. This was not exception. To put some perspective on the sandwich, in NYC you’d pay around 15 and the helping of meat is about 3 times as large. So yes, Central is a bit expensive. They do tend to put a greater supply of kraut on the sandwich, which tends to throw off the taste balance a bit. That said, it is one of the very few places I’ve been to that cooks and cuts their meat correctly, which means meat has the right taste. As for the fries, it’s a matter of taste, but I like mine a bit more brown on the outside. A big plus, for those that care, is that they offer Dr. Brown’s soda! I’ve never had anything than excellent service at this establishment. So in the end, the sandwiches are not to die for, but certainly more than passable. The prices are a tad high, but the service is quite good. As a result, its not a place I often seek out and it’s also not a place I avoid.

My wife and I have been coming here for years. Their food has always been wonderful. Besides sandwiches they also have pork ribs but I have never tried them. Last time we were here my wife ordered the chicken salad sandwich. And for me I ordered the sailor sandwich which a friend Thomas C has recommended. Well we got our sandwiches my wife said hers was very good. And my sailor was delicious now I’m no expert on the sailor. But from here on out any sandwich I order will be a sailor and that will be my gauge. This is only the second sailor I’ve ever eaten and have nothing to base it on. I can only compare with Thomas C reviews. And Thomas they didn’t know where the sailor sandwich originated at.
