We tried this as an alternative to Hill’s Seafood for our crab/shrimp cravings. Wow, what a great swap: * Shrimp Salad — instead of the little itty bitty cocktail shrimp, this is big pieces of jumbo shrimp, cut up and tossed with celery and spices(not mayonaissy at all) * Smith Island Crab Cake — big chunks of crab with spices, only enough filler to keep it together * Imperial Shrimp — this was a stupendous find, I will be craving them — big juicy shrimp stuffed with crab imperial and then breaded, it’s like the size of a dinner roll * Lobster Cake — this was tasty, not my favorite, but it did have some good chunks of lobster in it * Shrimp Cake — this was another favorite, yummy shrimp tossed in parmesan sauce and then made into a cake and breaded, glorious! What a great find, can’t wait to go back.

Their smith island crabcake is delish. the regular breaded one is good too. obviously the breaded one is a lil cheaper but i can split it in half still fits on two slider size rolls. Im tempted to get the crab dip in a bread bowl but its frozen and not sure how that will turn out. If anyone tried it pls post on here. I dont want to spend 15 bucks otherwise.

I was originally introduced to Captain Chucky’s crabcakes through a coworker who was selling their crabcakes on behalf of their social club. Once I found out about the actual store, I had to check it out. The seafood is amazing. I highly recommend the crabcakes(of course), the shrimp salad, the crab legs, the crab balls and the crabalaya crunchers. The service is always excellent, and they even include instructions with your purchases on how to properly prepare the food. As another bonus — they have offered free samples every time I’ve walked in. Prior to finding Captain Chucky’s, Bobby Chez’s was my choice for crabcakes. Captain Chucky’s blows them out of the water!
