Gyro was awesome today! Fries are banging! Crispy coating on fries! I think they have improved!

Great sausage stromboli, never ending cheese! Cannoli was good for this far from a true Italian neighborhood! It is not a assembly line pizza place and that is the charm to me. Truly good food takes a little time. Amazing amount of food for the price!

Do yourself a favor and eat elsewhere. The pizza was undercooked, the dessert was frozen, and how do you mess up a salad. I had high hopes but this place fell well short. Just call domino’s or Papa John’s or any other place. One star because they were fast

Went in at 730pm on a Friday, service was fantastic, and the food was too. We ordered a 18″ pizza deal with the garlic knots, the knots and dipping sauce were fantastic! The pizza was true NY style; large, foldable slices and delicious. My husband ordered the Stromboli, it was HUGE! he said it was great, dripping in oil and exactly what he wanted. We brought home cannolis, which were inhaled! I can’t imagine any reason not to go back… Best pizza place we have found since moving here! Oh, and the prices were good too!

Got a meat lovers with black olives. The delivery is really fast. The pizza is a tad bit over seasoned. A few months ago the food was amazing. Just absolutely perfect. The quality has dropped. I would recommend this place though. I was just really torn to go 4 or 3 stars. If the quality goes up, my stars will go to five. But all the other food is really good. Burgers, cheesesteak, and garlic knots just sooo good. Just please make the pizza a little bit better and I will love sales forever.

Tried calling several times during business hours and got an answering machine(!?) and when someone finally answered, it sounded like they hung up on me. Guy that answered was very nice but had to repeat my order a few times. I ordered two pizzas– one of them was cheese. It took an hour and a half for pizza to get here. Pizza was cold and dry and not good. Not sure where all of these high reviews are coming from? Tried calling to see where my pizza was and guess what… yep, answering machine. Did anyone ever call me back after I left messages? You guessed it… nope! Will not be ordering from there again.

Great Italian style pizza. Unexpected good service with the cashier filling and refilling my sodas, then getting me one to go, all for one price. Try this place out.

I love this place. I was in Chesapeake, VA on business. I was working 14 hour days and then had to be on conference calls at night. Sal’s delivered right to my hotel room door. I ate there almost every night. I found them through Unilocal and I was able to order right online. Perfect, just perfect! Tonight, I am trying the pizza. I am sure it will be great. Thank you Sal’s!!!

Not a huge fan of their cold subs it’s something with the lunch meat but the pizza is really good and I love the cheesesteaks too! The people who work there are so nice and very helpful. And the prices are great. Their meal deals are so good! The garlic knots are yummy and wings are pretty good too. We eat here often.

I like the pizza but the customer service in the back is the worst I’ve ever seen! After waiting 45 min I find out my pizza was finally going in the oven. Some how my order was messed up in the back. I was given a 30% discount of my next pizza. I plan on going back one more time to use the discount and then never again! The funny part is the book they use to keep track of customer discounts is huge due to all the discounts they give due to mess ups. I have no idea how they stay in business.

This is by far the best pizza in Western Branch. We’ve been waiting for a decent pizza spot since we moved here 5 years ago, and Sal’s meets the mark. We’ve ordered carryout twice, and we haven’t been disappointed. We tried the philly cheesesteak pizza the first time, and the bianca deluxe pizza the next. Both had fresh, real veggies… no canned mushrooms or mushy peppers. The meats were tasty and well-seasoned. The crust was perfect for my taste… light and cooked to perfection with just the right thickness. Unfortunately, the greek salad left a bit to be desired; I can’t recommend that, but the pizza is on point. The counter service was friendly, and the order was ready in the time specified. We’ll definitely order from Sal’s again!

I found Sal’s Pizza about 3 weeks after they opened here on Taylor rd. I tell you, their combo meal(1 lg pizza w/1 topping, dozen wings, 10 garlic knots and 2lt drink) was the best deal you can find anywhere. Their pizza was almost perfect, but very much NY style. The crust has a lite crisp on the outside and the dough was soft, slightly chewy with plenty of flavor. There was just enough sauce that if you starting eating from the pointed end to the crust, you end up with a little extra at the end. The garlic knots we’re absolutely perfect. Lightly crisp on the outside, soft buttery and chewy on the inside. The wings were top notch as well. Perfectly fried with light crunch and plenty if flavor. Whatever hot wing sauce they’re using isn’t the greatest, but how they prepared the wings really made the difference. Now, 3 or 4 months have passes since their initial opening and now everything has gone wrong. The pizza doesn’t taste fresh any more. The crust tastes too dry and no longer has the any taste. The garlic knots have suffered the worst. On the outside, there is plenty of garlic butter and seasoning, but when you bite into it, it almost turns into powder it’s so dry. The outer crust no long has the light crisp anymore. And the flavor is completely non existent, even when it’s drowned in butter. A real disappointment. And the wings have suffered as well. Now it’s over fried, making it too dry. And mix that with the not so great wing sauce, you have a tragedy. I might come back to this place every now and again. Just to see if they listened to my review and repair the mistakes they’ve made. But until then, they just lost one of their regular. Thought I give it another go. Tried something I haven’t on the menu. The stuffed pizza. Big mistake. They used that same crappy dough they use to make their crappy garlic knots and covered it garlic butter. But this time the butter was way too salty. They used the same crappy pizza but just put an extra layer of crappiness on top. Wow, this place has really down hill!

First time at Sal’s Pizzeria and ate the Vegetarian Stromboli. It has plenty of mozzarella, onions, peppers, and black olives. The regular is about 10 inches and very filling. It cost about $ 9 after tax. The sauce wasn’t bad but could use some garlic to me. I had to wait a bit, but the food was hot and the service friendly. The place is small and has delivery. It was clean and simply decorated. A good place for lunch or to grab a dinner.

Great pizza and service. The crust is super thin and perfectly prepared. They have pizza by the slice and a wonderful collection of white pizzas.

We got two pizza’s and both were made with parbaked frozen shells that were dry and very disappointing. Store bought frozen is better. I don’t like to write bad reviews but I feel very ripped off, not worth $ 35 for two 14″ frozen crust pies that were anything but thin and crispy.

Best wings and pizza around. Easy ordering options like over the phone with credit card online ordering and you can find them on the grubhub app. Sweet. Friendly delivery service and fast too.

So one night a few weeks ago, we called Atlas pizza for delivery at about 9:55PM. Atlas said they were about to close, I said«Awwwwww, nooooooooooooo» and hung up the phone loudly… we turned to Sal’s. We ordered two pizzas. A bianca deluxe and a pepperoni. A bianca deluxe is a white pizza(spinach, mushroom, tomato) with chicken. I guess I’m just spoiled by my Atlas«Atlas pizza» because the bianca pizza to me was just dry. The pepperoni pizza was alright as far as pepperoni pizzas go. Had absolutely zero issues with service, price or delivery, so I’m definitely willing to give Sal’s another try and order something different. Just not gonna get the bianca deluxe again.

Came here for their grand opening. This place took place of the old Vinny’s that used to be in its exact spot. We wanted to try it out as we love new places in general. When you go in there is very little room to sit. There are 4 booths to work with and the drink refill station. It is a very simple place that has that hole in the wall feel. The only thing that separates it from being a nice«hidden» place for a date and«just a place to eat» aesthetically is the lighting and the décor. They have a lot of these signs that just kind of kill the mood and somewhat«cheapen» the place. Overall though I was honestly not expecting much more with regards to ambiance. When we entered, we waited a bit as the phone was busy, there was a line of people waiting to order AND there were a few others waiting to pick their food up. Needless to say, they were busy. We decided to order the deluxe philly cheese steak, mozzarella sticks and the eggplant parmigiana hot sub. We sat down and just had waters to drink. Now to be fair, you can tell this place is still trying to find their groove. The machine didn’t have ice in it. However, when I asked, the lady politely took my cups and put ice in them from the cooler in the back. I don’t know what the issue was but nonetheless, I got my ice. Also with the multitude of orders and things going on, you could just tell they were a little discombobulated and trying their best to get the orders out timely and serve the two pairs(myself/wife & another couple in the dining facility) of people in a friendly way. Eventually, our food came out(20 – 30 min). However, the order was delivered to us without our sticks. When I asked about them they promptly turned around to satisfy the order. So the moment of truth. How did it taste? Well very good. The bread I had on my philly was nice and crispy while my wife’s was also just as delicious. I was very happy with the food(and the sticks when they came out) quality and hope they stick with that same quality in the future. The only quandary I had with the sub was that they do a shallow/incomplete cut of the sub. I know that sounds weird but picture cutting the bread in a manner where you don’t cut the last inch and a half of the ends out. What happens is you have a nice«pocket» where the food falls into. While this may be nice so the sub insides never fall out, it does however leave you with two things. 1. By not giving meat for the«entire» sub the restaurant does save a little per sub. But for me I felt a little ripped off. 2. The last taste of food with regards to the sub will only be bread. Now it might be just me but that kinda sucks. I want that last taste to be memorable and delicious… yes the bread is good but lets be realistic, who says«That philly cheese steak was so good, sure wish there was more bread!» As we neared the end of our meal the one thing that stands out in my mind was how friendly the staff was, from refills, to boxes, to just about whatever we needed, amongst the chaos of calls, someone did come out to see if there was anything we needed. It was a nice touch and left a very favorable impression for us. We have every intention to come back and perhaps try a pizza next time. Overall, definitely worth giving this place a chance.
