National Optometry Steven Kasinof & Assoc Optmtst

While traveling in the coastal Virginia area and needing the services of an optical store, I would like to recommend National Optometry in Chesapeake. I had lost my glasses and was seen immediately and had wonderful service in getting a new pair.
Everyone was helpful and courteous. I love my new glasses.

Wonderful selection of frames and excellent service from the staff. I received my new glasses in only 4 days.

I definitely do not recommend! The overall professional feel is horrible.

I absolutely do not like this eye office. Compared to my old eye doctor (with whom I would have stayed with if they took my new insurance), the staff are very unprofessional. Every time I’ve come in for an appointment, they make me wait before doing a preliminary evaluation even though there are no other patients in the office. The doctor was decent, didn’t really tell me anything about my eyes, and has not dilated my eyes either (this was the second year I’ve been with him). They seem to be an office that is in and out and don’t really take time with the patients. When checking out, I specifically told them I don’t want them running my card multiple times and to group everything together, but they have me an attitude so I just went along with it. I also told them I needed an itemized receipt with the purchase when I picked up my contacts, and guess what, they didn’t have it! Then they spent 15 minutes trying to print it out or do something else while talking about a whole bunch of nonsense that patients don’t want to hear. And then the lady tried to be nice afterwards. I’m definitely looking for a new eye doctor next year because this office is an absolute disgrace.
