This is MOST EXCELLENT! Spicy garlic wings, hot wings (bf’s favorite), mister jims sub, and those ridiculously yummy macadamia nut cookies. Onion rings are no joke either.

Great food and great service I will be back again soon thank you very clean and fast service even when I was done eating they check up on me to make sure everything was ok and It was great thank you

black people don’t eat here they’re racist basically called me a nigger. i was given all the wrong food. hour wait to eat food was cold cookie was hard and i am big mad. may 7^th 16 the day after i’ve calmed down and i’ll go into specifics of the order. i called in a order of chef salad, resse cookie, chicken philly sub, and fresh cut fries. upon arrival i was informed that there where out of cookies i ordered i looked in the display there was one left what’s that oh we have one left ok first mistake noticed there where 4 others i get in my car open up fry tray to eat a fry; steak fries where in box instead of fresh cut so i turned around and went back inside to get correct fries young lady informs me that’s a dollar difference ok not a problem… after waitng about 17mins i ask hey where are my fries mistake 3 never leave a customer waiting that long for fries. the young lady went to back and ask she had step away but had been the og one helping me the man in back had stated he gave them to the young lady on the other cash register so the og cashier ask the other girl she shrugs idk and the og cashier seems to me took fries from a side order and gave it to me so 20min wait for fries i’m understanding its young kids they might not need a job just want extra cash i get it or side 16 fries no seasoning hit a u turn refund please the final and worse part about it all i make it home they gave me a steak instead of a chicken philly. i called spoke to manger and he was a rude man who i have nothing nice to say anything about so i’ll end my review and mister jims don’t like back people this review is my opinion

Waited 25 mins, only to ask where our food was and to be given soggy fries and nasty cold sub sandwiches… that were supposed to be hot. STAY AWAY

I wanted to like this place… I really did. I ordered the Mr Jim sub special and was excited to try it. Mediocre at best… it tastes exactly like Jimmy Johns except more expensive.
After eating I immediately felt sick and let’s just say things didn’t end well for my stomach. With all of the meat sitting on the counter being weighed in the morning I think the risk of food born illness is present since the process isn’t fast.
Will not be returning, not wanting to get sick again.

I ordered a 5 ft Mr. Jim’s party sub today for my schoolage children at Kids Kollege Learning Center in spring break. I am very impressed with the patience and cooperation they gave us. It came with all the condiments. They delivered with no extra charge (of course we ripped generously). The only negative thing was the discrepancy between what was posted on their website and what was told to me on the phone concerning how many people the subs feed. Overall, I’m very pleased and will definitely keep ordering from them!

I have eaten from here 2x. Both times were either delivery or take out. And yeah I am a fan!
I love sammies. Hot or cold, big or small, fully loaded or just a couple of awesome meats.
I got the bridge club toasted and it was so yummy! We also got fries and cheese dipping sauce and the sauce was ooey and gooey and really good.

Subs are pretty good, but nothing to get excited over.
What really stinks is that customer service is always lacking. I live down the street and wish this could be my favorite place to go but it never will be.
ALSO– it takes a VERY LONG TIME TO GET YOUR FOOD! I once waited 45 minutes for 2 sandwiches. There is absolutely no sense of urgency or service here.

We ordered delivery online. We got a confirmation email and waited. After waiting over an hour we called to check the status of the order. They told us they never received the order and then asked for our confirmation number. They then told us someone called us to say we were to far for delivery. We live 10 mins from the restaurant and no one called or left a voicemail. At least make the delivery for wasting our time but they choose to lie instead.

There used to be mr. Jims @ VA bch too… HAD MY FIRST sub @ the one on pacific ave. back in the early 70s, don’t know what happened to them. Anyway I love the Mr Jim special. the ONLY sub I ever order. It always tastes sooo fresh! My only complaint is those NON user friendly beach type buckets they put stuff in on the tables which you have to reach into, dumb idea. PLEASE LOSE THEM!

I’m not too impressed after my recent visit to Mister Jim’s. First impressions are key and the counter person had the opportunity to make me feel welcome. However she appeared to be impatient that I didn’t know the (large) menu. Being from out of town I could have used a little help. I DON’T CARE if you are busy — I’m standing in front of you aren’t I?
Other problems were entirely missing tsadziki after asking for extra. One of my party asked for a chicken cheesesteak and received beef. It was too crowded so we didn’t ask for it to be switched out. My chicken cheesesteak was somewhat dry — only marginal. My party of four had the general impression that the food was only mediocre.

Soggy bread, check.
Grease that drips down in puddles, check.
Throwing up all night after eating from this place? Check
All we bought was the steak and cheese subs and it came along with all the toppings mentioned above. Id rather eat at a generic subway which I hate then come back for more torture.

Sandwiches are not bad. But nothing I would be running back to. I been here twice. In comparison to other locations that also make subs, I am disappointed. The amount of ingredients on subs are not mixed well together as some of the things on the sandwich are too much or too little. My boyfriend got the Philly cheesesteak and he was highly disappointed. The sandwich was small and very little steak. We actually think wawa has better Philly cheesesteak subs or their subs overall.
Overall, a bit pricey for disappointment.

Looking at their menu, I immediately notice they do not have a Vegetarian Philly Sub. So, I proceed to explain how to put one together for me. I ask that they substitute the meat for mushrooms. The cashier says, «It already has mushrooms on it.» I reply, «That’s great, but I want plenty of grilled mushrooms on my sandwich because I’m not getting any meat.» She goes on to tell me that my sandwich will cost more because they have to charge me for the extra mushrooms. My response, «Please let me explain this to your manager because that makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. I’m not getting any meat. I shouldn’t be charged more for the sandwich.» So, instead of allowing me to explain this to the manager, another employee who was listening in decided to explain for me and he says to her that I have to pay extra. Hmmmmmmm. Now, I was very hungry and I had to get back to a meeting in less than 45 minutes. I was in no mood to argue about a sandwich. So, I reluctantly paid the extra money for the extra mushrooms on a sandwich that has absolutely no meat on it. I was heated! While waiting with my buzzer, the cashier walks over to me, apologizes, and gives me my money back (the extra amount paid for the extra mushrooms). She said that the manager misunderstood my request. I thanked her for my money back and soon after I received my sandwich. IT WAS FANTASTIC!!! Perfectly seasoned, juicy goodness on a bun. It was worth the hassle. My recommendation would be to put a Veggie Philly on the menu. PLEASE! Yes, I will be back and hope that I do not have to go through all that trouble again. I’d give 5 stars for the sandwich alone but I’m taking two stars away for the hassle and the limited vegetarian menu options.

Great sandwiches!
This place is a great option if you are looking for a sub-​type sandwich. Their offerings range from turkey all the way through steak & cheese. I have had several different sub’s at this point and all of them have been really good. Plus, the cookies, get one you won’t be disappointed.
Other suggestions: the hand cut fries. What sandwich place makes french fries? Mr Jim’s, that’s who and they are really good.

I’m a long time fan of Mister Jim’s Sub’s. The food is good, the place is clean and the staff is courteous. However on a recent trip I elected to try something different and ordered their Cheesesteak. Meh… What a mistake. This cheesesteak, well let’s just call it what it was, this meat sandwhich was the pits. It certainly didn’t taste like any cheesesteak I’ve ever had.
All in all, the complaint here is my taste, and their recipe. The prep and everything was fine. However, if you want a cheesesteak, skip it here and stick to their regular subs or something else on the menu.

Mister Jim’s is apparently a Chesapeake institution and after getting one of their subs to go, I can see why.
Not just regular cold cut subs, but they also do Phille Cheesesteak, burgers, salads, pizzas, gyros and chicken wings. It was a little overwhelming at first, so when my eye cause the «Bridge Club» that’s what I went with.
The gal behind the counter asked if I wanted everything and I told her to make it the usual way. Yum. Roast beef, bacon, turkey, cheese, lettuce, tomatoes and mayo. Toasted. Yum!
Next time, maybe a reuben. Or a burger. Or a gyro. Oh, the decisions!

My GF and I went Saturday May 30^th 2015 and were impressed on how easy it was to locate. When we first walked in we looked for the menu; I asked if they had any paper menus and was told no. Which is weird because they had a take out service. how do you have a take out service with no paper menu? We were directed into the eating area to view the menus on TV screens that were filled glare. Idk who’s idea this is but someone needs to change it. Have paper menus and one above the ordering area. Great customer service though.
The Food: I ordered the Grandmaster sandwich which had ham, 2 kinds of salami, pepperoni, lettuce, mayo, oil, vinegar, tomato, onion & a hot red chili paste. It was perfect. Absolutely perfect. Enjoyed it. My girlfriend ordered the Smoke Turkey & Applewood bacon sub. She said it was dry, not enough mayonnaise & oil & vinegar. She said it was alright, light flavor.
All in all, this place has a huge variety of things to choose from & will please your taste buds. We will be returning to this Chesapeake staple soon. Side note: they have WINGS… :)
