The perfect wine shop & café: Shop– Amazing wine selection that ranges from $ 10/​bottle & up. Ian or Bethany will help you pick out the perfect wine to pair with any meal. If you are just learning about wine, they will help you find something incredible. Great beer selection too! The café has been a fantastic addition. A café like this in Chesapeake was desperately needed! Delicious soups, salads, cheese board, charcuterie tray, & tasting menu of beer & wine to accompany your meal. You can purchase a half pour or full pour of wine, or an even smaller serving size, if you just want to try something. Great service, fun place to go with friends. It’s the Napa of the Hampton Roads!

I’ve never picked out my own wine in this place, and that’s why I go there. I walk in, tell the owner, Ian, what I’m making or doing, and he picks the perfect wine in my price range. When they opened the café I was so excited because it gives us the opportunity to try his picks by the glass and the food is great. It’s the perfect after-​work or happy hour kind of stop. Anything you try and like you can get by the bottle and he keeps such an excellent selection of high-​end as well as super affordable wines that you won’t find at the grocery store or even Total Wine. The staff expertise is worth a fortune, in my opinion.

Don’t let the size of the store fool you! They have great and vast selection of wine, and a somewhat small but «hard to find”/rare beers. The staff is very knowledgable about their products and are very happy to recommend products if you are unsure of what to get. As a beer fan, I have been told they usually get new stuff in on Thursdays and the stock is constantly rotating. Check them out if you are in Chesapeake!

Ian and Tricia (owners) of Let’s Talk Wine are wonderful. Ian shares his knowledge with you as you explore new wines, as well as a wonderful selection of cheese and other items available in their store. I love the novelty items they sell also like my
T-​shirts that say, «Group Therapy» with wine glasses across the chest, or «Wines Constantly» with wine glasses shown. They are so much fun to wear!

Lets talk wine is a small family owned specialty beer and wine store located at the last stop before Carolina. Excellent selection, carefully vetted, hand selected and thoroughly delicious. Ian (owner and sommelier) and his wife Trish have really contributed a unique gem of a store to our community down in Hickory.
Prices are Moderate to High.
Selection at LTW is spectacular. again spectacular. My girlfriend and I are really just starting out in our careers and have not really had the opportunity to start spending the kind of money most people may expect to need to spend for good wine. At LTW this is not the case, Ian samples and selects each wine he sells in his shop, regularly has 30 – 40 selections of below $ 20 wine at almost any given time. Affording us an opportunity to flirt with the pretense of sophistication. Admittedly purchasing in this price range severely limits the age and complexity that you can prospectively purchase, Ian’s careful palate ensures that each experience is singular and enjoyable.
The beer selection is equally as impressive, and in some respects is more so. Ian somehow manages to finagle extremely rare and delicious beers out of his vendors (we are talking Ian has first picks over even some of his larger competition cough total wine). His selection really follows the season, the most exciting times of the year are most definitely the fall and late winter, the times with Ian stocks my beloved Dopples, Rauchs, Wild ales, Stouts and delicious delicious Nut Browns. Summer and Spring are all about the IPA (sorry not a hop head here) Imperials, Saisons and Belgium.
All in all, excellent shop, highly recommended. Stop in on Saturdays LTW runs wine and beer tastings 1−2x monthly.

The Only Wine Store you need to know about! Ian (the co owner w/​his wife) is wonderful at introducing you to new wines and educating you in a ‘non pretentious’ way! What sets them far apart of other wines stores… Ian’s sincere welcoming energy and patience. He and his beautiful wife, Tricia, have my husband & I has loyal customers!
