Maria’s Italian Restaurant

First I must say I am originally from New York and have moved down here over 5 years ago and I used to always eat in Little Italy in Lower Manhattan and in the Bronx and I thought i would ever find a place that could make food like them. Boy was i wrong — Maria’s made food not only like them but blew them away and I must say it was probably the best food I ever have had in a long time. I ordered the Chicken Parm with Angel hair spaghetti and Italian Wedding soup and omg it was the best. We also had wings that were so fresh and made perfect. I live in Felton Delaware and I plan on visiting this place many more times it would be well worth the drive to get some «REAL HOME MADE «Italian food!!! Also the place was Super clean and the kitchen you can see when you walk in and it was spotless!!! Keep up the good work guys!!!

I have been eating cheese steaks and pizza for over 50 years, Being from Philly, I have a pretty fair sense of what a good Pie or Steak would make a superb one. Been here in C C for a bit longer than Maria’s Restaurant. The cheese steaks are hands down the best thius side of Philly. and for you num nuts that Think that Pat’s and Geno’s in Philly are the real deal, you don’t know Jack ! they are nothing more than greasy spoon tourist attractions. Go ahead, indulge yourself with that GOURMET Cheez WHiz. (puke) disgusting ! Maria’s is the real DEAL. Excellent rolls, meaty steak and great American Cheese. So for all you visiting Pennsylvania Navy that come here and pollute our rivers and Bay, the least you could do is give this place A TRY. You may want to move here .And thank God this place is in South Chesapeake City and NOT on the North side with the Biddle Street people, as they don’t even enjoy themselves.

We have gotten takeout multiple times and dined in once. We have had the subs, pizza, pasta dishes, and cheese steaks. We enjoy the pizza and we can say it is so far the best in the local area. The seafood pasta dishes are delicious, and honestly those are probably my favorite. I suggest the seafood mixed with angel hair pasta and blush sauce. The subs are okay. The cold cuts they use are more so those of the local mentality of what a hoagie is… nothing like NJ, so don’t expect prosciutto and real ham. My boyfriend really enjoys the Buffalo chicken cheese steak. I say try the cheese steak or pasta dishes! The staff is always friendly and never had always issue.

Third strike, they’re out! I have been here three times now, and each experience was the same as the last… SLOW!!! Service is friendly, which earned them an extra star. The food wasn’t worth the insanely long wait each of the three visits. We won’t be back. Ever.

I like this pizza joint… the pizza is good… I love their nachos… clean and pleasant place to dine.

Disappointed by their lack of support for their community. I’ll take my business somewhere else.

I once ordered the fish dinner. The tartar sauce I was given expired that day. It was rancid and disgusting. If expect to see me again they will need to make some things from scratch like tartar sauce.
When I mention the tartar sauce to the server she acted stupid and did not offer to get a manager or an apology.

Their entrees were awesome. Fettuccini Alfredo and flounder were both really good. We got old bay fries that were not good, they just dumped a LOT of old bay on top of a plate of fries. Also there was a few flys inside which were annoying. Otherwise the place was decent and we would return again.

We live close by and go to Maria’s frequently. Food is great, owners and staff are very friendly and the atmosphere is cozy. Good pizza and you can get a beer or wine. Great family gathering place.
