U S Govt Post Office- Woodcrest

I went in yesterday send a package. There was only one person working and 4 people in line. The woman was very pleasant and helped me save about $ 10 by switching to a flat rate box instead of the way I had it packaged. Very friendly and helpful!

Hopefully I’m writing about the correct post office… (Ellisburg circle)
I was selling my textbooks on Amazon and therefore had to send them myself and took my business to this post office. Now, I am not an experienced shipper and I will admit that I was a little bit confused about what I needed to do going into the office, but in no way were the employees helpful or informative. I gave them what I had and was honest and told them that I wasn’t sure what I was supposed to do, and the response I got was cold and condescending. Yes, maybe I would know what to do if I worked at the post office, but I don’t! It was my first time shipping anything.
Finally, I got a useful enough answer and shipped my books, and one of them was damaged in the shipping process. I can’t necessarily blame this on the post office as it could have happened anywhere in the process, but needless to say I was very disappointed in the whole situation. The employee (whose name I didn’t get) was so rude to me I was truly upset when I left the office. I only use the post office anymore when it is absolutely necessary, and sometimes when that is the case I even make my dad go for me lol.
Horrible experience!

It was a few days before Christmas and they’re closing their doors before 4:56 — on their own clock — and not accepting any more mail just because the line is already 4 deep. Grinch! Why doesn’t this branch scale their hours back, or have a vending machine sell stamps, if they can’t handle the queue of people getting out of work? Why does it take more than a minute to sell 5 people their two stamps?
Also, this was in a high traffic area at that hour, which is why you can never trust that you might get there before the angry lady shuts the blinds and snarls «I can’t take no more!»
