First time here, trash all over the floor near our seating area. 1 young girl taking orders, running food, making milkshakes, bagging food, and cleaning the seating area on a Saturday night. I feel bad for her. Burger over cooked, fries too thin barely any potato inside.

I visited this place shortly after they opened and wasn’t that impressed, but chalked it up to a new store. Tonight I received an email for $ 2 off any order over $ 5; nothing exciting, but reminded me to try them again. I tried placing the order online but the website wouldn’t place the order… no big deal I had to run out I would just place the order there and get the food to go. I waited for the two people in front of me to order, not listening to their conversations (i didn’t care if they ordered pickles or onions.). When it was finally my time to place the order the cashier asked me how I was paying, when I said credit card she told me their system was down and could I go get some cash to play with. How utterly ridiculous.
It was bad enough that I had to wait almost 10 minutes, to place my order, with only 2 people in front of me – that was what happened the last time. They are slow as dirty in this place and the burgers aren’t anything special; sure they’re better than McDonald’s, but what isn’t?
They should have had a sign on the door or something else to warn people that their credit cards were down; that happens, and it’s a shame, but not the end of the world. Making customers wait 10 minutes before they find out they can’t accept credit cards is just poor business.
This was the last time I’ll both with this place, there are so many better places nearby to eat.

Of you’re looking for a good sat food style burger, this is the place. The team working there is great and the food really hits the spot. I would go with the fries over the onion rings but both are good.

A decent place to get a quick bite to eat. Service was fantastic for a fast food joint, the guy who took my order was incredibly kind and gave me a coupon for next time since it was my first time there.
I ordered the smashburger and sweet potato fries.

The burger was average at best. I didn’t expect greatness and I got exactly what my expectations were banking on. Fries were pretty good, just a tad too greasy.
Overall, it was an average what you would expect burger joint. Nothing special. Would probably not come back here unless I had only fast food options. (Yes this is better than McDonalds and BurgerKing)

I’m super excited to announce that they have decided to make their fries thicker; NO DOUBT because of my previous disapproval! (Ha!) Everything else is still pretty much the same, which is to say: really good, but super damn expensive for a burger and fries.

Wow, guess there’s a range in reviews on here! I wanted to try them out, went here with co-​worker & it was really good! Impressed, as the quality of meat & condiments are fresh! VERY!
The burger had a nice char flavor & really great with the Smash fries! Sure this is killing my regimen, but I will kill it at the gym today & tomorrow!!.
As far as burgers are concerned, Definitely Good, & pretty decent prices. If you want salad or chicken, they have those too. Which I might venture to get !! BTW– the caramel salted shake was To die for !!! –I split it, still Too much!

Actually got food poisoning from the Philadelphia location: my hamburger was ice cold. Stay away!

After reading the fabulous reviews on Unilocal I decided to give this place a try.
As we entered we gazed up at a modest menu and the two uniformed teenagers sitting at a table drinking milkshakes. When they finally got up to take our order I chose the bacon cheeseburger with Swiss and grilled onions. My girlfriend got the black bean avocado ranch burger. We had trouble finding a clean table but after we did food came promptly. Milkshakes not so much. I was halfway done my burger before I received my shake. I’m not really sure in what universe it takes longer to make a shake than a burger but I’m definitely in it. My table as well as the neighboring tables had empty ketchup bottles. Milkshakes we’re average and borderline too sweet. My burger was pretty good as was my girlfriends though my grilled onions weren’t there but instead red uncooked salad onions. I won’t be coming back.

after visiting smashburger a couple times, i have to say– their shakes are fantastic! tried the oreo last time and wow it really hit the spot haha now i understand why everyone loves that sweet ending after a meal lol
we tried several of the burgers too but the most savory is definitely the truffle burger! that’s our go-​to for sure~
service is a little slow. i feel like they’re always under staffed.
once summer hits, i’ll be returning for more shakes!

As burger places are becoming more popular, I’ve been craving them a lot more. Smash burger was a place I had heard of but didn’t know there was one near me. While on our way to the mall we spotted a location and decided to give it a try. The service wasn’t great at all. I used to work at Disney so I take customer service very seriously and I was really not impressed by the service here. We stood at the counter waiting to place our order for 5 minutes because the cashier was turned around talking to the cook. Not once did the cook tell her we were standing right there. Also the communication of the young lady seemed off. She just kept saying «is that it?» After everything we ordered. A little uncomfortable.
The food was really good. I got a jalapeño baja burger which was with pepperjack, guacamole, jalapeños, lettuce, tomato, onion, and a chipotle mayo. One of the best jalapeño burgers I’ve had because it’s the first with guacamole which was a nice touch. My sister got a fried buffalo chicken sandwich which I tried a bite of and it was delicious. My boyfriend got their barbecue bacon cheeseburger and he said it was average. Smash fries were great. I love shoestring fries so they were right up my alley. To finish off my boyfriend got an Oreo milkshake. In his words «it’s so good I could cry» and his favorite food is ice cream. I had a bite and I must admit it was delicious!
If it wasn’t for the service I would rate higher but the service was so rough that we discussed it throughout our entire meal. Would visit again.

This is one of the better burger establishment chains. They strive for using the best ingredients that they can obtain. There are so many options for burgers. I like the classic smash burger and also the jalapeño burger. The fries are average, nothing too special about them, they are almost considered shoestring fries, because they are very skinny. The shakes are very good, I had the oreo shake and it is addictive. The staff is friendly and the speed of service is pretty efficient. I have been here thrice and I would recommend it to anybody who is in search of quality food at a quick pace.

very clean and nice place friendly service I did go at a real off peak time Monday night at 7:45 .
I got the jersey chicken sandwich and 2 orders of fries one plain and one with the Dry dusted Franks hot sauce to go.
the hot sauce fries were so good that I sat down on one of the tables and ate most of the order .
took the sandwich and the rest of the fries home the sandwich was okay… decent onion bun… maybe it’s because of the heat in the container but all the toppings were slop together but it did taste good.
not sure if their chicken is of the highest quality but it was ok… it is pricey for what you get.
I will give a burger a try next time I am in the area .

Great burgers, great prices. If you are looking for fast food like McDonald’s then you have come to the wrong place. They have delicious fries and the service here is always great.

Their burgers are good but their fries are so delicious! Thin and Crispy!
The servers are great. They try to be as helpful as possible. My boyfriend had tried the cherry coke… didn’t like it so emptied it out. I guess one of the guys working there noticed and checked the soda… noticed it didn’t taste right and changed it. He came over to us to let us know that he noticed my bf had wanted the cherry coke and that he changed it if my bf would like some.
So far I still stand by five guys, but this place is good!

I’ve heard some pretty good things about Smashburger, so I thought I’d check it out. I got the Big Jersey Burger, which consisted of Applewood-​smoked bacon, Blue Cheese, Grilled onions, Haystack onions, Lettuce, Tomato and Mayo on an onion bun and I also had the ‘Smash’ fries which were shoestring — style fries cooked in olive oil with garlic and rosemary.
Positives — The onion bun on the burger was unique, not lot of flavor, but held the burger together pretty well. The toppings were definitely fresh, although, the blue cheese and haystack onions got a bit lost and muddled in my burger (granted, my burger had a LOT of toppings, so maybe this was to be expected). The burger itself was pretty large and consisted of a large patty that was somewhat thin, but it was also larger than the bun (not necessarily a bad thing at all). I couldn’t taste a lot of seasoning or char on the patty, but as a whole, I’d have to say the burger was better than average.
The fries were something I actually really enjoyed. I know some people may not like shoe-​string style fries and I can see why. If I had my druthers, I’d prefer a more heartier style fry with more potato on it. However, I actually liked the inclusion of the garlic and rosemary, which I thought added a unique and tasty flavor to them.
I didn’t eat in the restaurant. I called in a pick– up order and the cashier was friendly and my order was ready to go as I arrived.
Negatives — Pricy. My Big Smash Jersey burger and fries came close to $ 11.00 and while filling, I didn’t feel like it justified that price point.
As a whole, the meal was just good — not great in my opinion. And there’s plenty of other options for burgers fast — food, bar and other fast — casual style places right in the area, so I don’t know if SmashBurger really distinguishes themselves from the pack. I would definitely go again, but I’m not sure it’s the kind of place I’d actively seek out on a semi– regular basis.

Over hyped. Burgers were average and just OK. My standard is In N Out Burger, from the West Coast. Very few burger joints measure up, but Smash Burger just doesn’t cut it for me. The meat was like a BK Whopper patty with a little better taste. Although not as greasy or fatty as a Five Guys Burger, it still didn’t taste quality. (FG makes me gag.). Competition for a good burger is plentiful around here, so you have to be exceptional.

We’ve been here about 6 times since they opened late last year. Our first visit was excellent — as you might expect — since they had their best foot forward and were working to build a good following.
Our second visit was pretty exceptional, but not as good as the first visit. On our third visit, the bacon in my BBQ Bacon Cheddar burger was scarcely even cooked. On our fourth visit, the food had gotten sloppy where the burgers started coming out a little greasy.
Last visit, we got only milkshakes to go and they were extremely small for the price; the serving size in the restaurant is much larger for the same cost. What is THAT about?
Which brings us to today, our 6^th and likely final visit. All the stars of suckitude aligned on this visit. We had a 5 minute wait just to place our order when there was only one group of 3 ahead of us who were currently with the order taker /​cashier. Finally, it was our turn: the two of us ordered 2 burgers, 1 smashfries, and 2 milkshakes.
Within 5 to 7 minutes, our burgers and fries came out. The order runner asked if we needed anything else; I told her we were waiting on 2 shakes. She dashed back to the shake prep area which is directly behind the cashiers stations. I felt confident she was in a rush to make our shakes. Our burgers were pretty darn greasy today, where they kept sliding apart as we tried to eat them. It was very sloppy. The fries were just okay.
In the meantime, I see the same order runner dashing around the restaurant repeatedly delivering hot foods to customers who arrived after us. I also see her delivering milkshakes to customers who arrived after us. We didn’t order anything complicated. It’s smashburger — they make only 5 or so milkshake options.
15 minutes after our food arrived and 2/​3rds of the way through our burgers, I went up to the order runner who was now poised at the hot-​food-​out window and talking with a customer who was waiting for a take-​out order about his order. Yes, he arrived after we did too. After they finished, I told her it would be great if we could get our shakes. She stuck her hand up and made a disgusted face as if to say, I don’t have time to deal with your shake now. I verbally responded with, «We’ve been waiting 15 minutes for them,» and walked back to my seat. If she got distracted earlier from completing our shakes, suffice it to say I made her aware we still had not gotten them.
After we saw her delivery 3 more food orders and 2 more milkshake orders to other diners, we’d had enough. My husband went to the register and spoke to the assistant manager explaining we wanted a refund for our shakes. She snidely asked, «WHAT? You don’t want them NOW?» He replied, «No, we wanted them 25 minutes ago when the food came out.»
There was no apology. There was no explanation. There was no professional conversation at all. In fact, it was rather unprofessional. She just made a sour face and began pressing the cash register keys with great exaggeration, large dramatic arm movements and heavy key strikes until the drawer opened and she returned the cash to my husband.
This restaurant is on the outer perimeter of the Cherry Hill Mall. They really need to get a clue and realize there are way too many other comparable options within a 5 minute drive of their sinking ship of greasy burgers, sorry service and incompetent management.

This place is okay. I had better burgers, I am not sure what the rave is about. The
to– go milkshakes are very small for the price. I think this place is over-​priced I spent $ 22 for two burgers, fries, and a milk shake. The french fries were very tasty! There are a bunch of little kids working here, some do not even look like they are old enough to work and are not very friendly.

I can’t understand why this place has negative reviews. My colleagues and I ordered lunch from here today and I couldn’t be more pleased. My spicy black bean burger was exactly that: a spicy, black bean patty with no rice or bread fillers that are typical of black bean burgers. The jalapenos were fresh, the guacamole was delicious and the bun was soft. My one complaint, if you can even call it that, is my bun was a bit small for my burger.
The smash fries were wonderful and crispy. I did take a star off bcz they are shoestring fries and I prefer bigger, fatter fries.
The ambience and décor is simple with clean lines and trendy colors. The menu was fine and those who complained may consider a stronger prescription or glasses, in general. Staff was friendly. Will definitely return.

The unnecessary cattle chute lanes set the tone for this visit. Menu is high up and has teeny tiny text. We had to assist the ladies behind us. My burger was way too salty. Food came without utensils for the sides. High point was the veggie side beans. Loud soundtrack lifted from the latest volume of «Now That’s What I Call Music» ensures you won’t linger. Doubt I’ll be back.
