I’m easily satisfied, but I should have heeded the reviews. Extraordinarily long wait for cold food(sent back twice). When it did come, it was subpar at best. Took the waiter a while to warm up, but he ended up being the saving grace. This was disastrous a dining experience. I definitely will not be returning – even though my entire bill was free.

Overall just a «good» experience. Food was OK but definitely not worth the prices they charged.

Overall decent experience. It was not great, but not bad either. To start, the prices were very high, although the quality and the price did not match up at all. It was about $ 125 for 2 people at the end, which is a lot of money for a chain restaraunt with average food. The service was decent, but the people were friendly. They had trouble with the lighting all night though, and one of the lamps burnt out, so at first it was way to dark, and then it was WAY too bright. They couldn’t seem to find the perfect balance. The food was good, i got the cobia on the specials list, and my friend got the mahi mahi also on the specials list. We both accompanied our entrees with caeser salads. The caeser salads were very quaint, although they were good. We also had a tuna tartar appetizer which was quite delectable, and really expanded my flavors for the evening. Lastly, we had bananas foster, and a raspberry sorbet to finish things off. The bananas foster was very sub-par in my opinion, it was not fresh tasting, it tasted almost microwaved, although the ice cream was good. The raspberry sorbet was splendid though. All in all, I would recommend this place if you are looking for a decent place to eat, but make sure that you are willing to pay a decent chunk of cash to dine here. Average experience for me.

According to their website and some signage, McCormick & Schmick’s has received some awards for best happy hour. I’d believe it. I met a friend for happy hour yesterday and it lived up to the hype. We arrived around 5:45 and were able to grab a high top table in the bar area. Within moments a server came around to take our drink orders. Our server was very attentive from start to finish. The happy hour drink specials are just okay. The beers start around $ 3.50– $ 4.50 depending on domestic or import, but the selection is merely meh. We both opted with the $ 6 glasses of wine. The food specials are what makes the experience special. The prices are phenomenal and the food is of full value quality. We started with the hummus platter and the fried calamari. The calamari was interesting. In addition to pieces of fried calamari that you would expect, there were little pieces of fried vegetables. We believe we spotted a few jalapenos, artichoke and a carrot. I’ll eat anything fried so it was a nice addition. The hummus portion was very large. We didn’t have enough pita or cucumber to handle the amount of hummus but by the time we thought to order more pita, the rest of our food came out. For our«main course» we both went with the McCormick’s Cheese Burger. This is the deal of century! For $ 3.99, we got a hearty sized cheese burger with a side of fries. My burger was prepared to a perfect medium and literally dripping with juices and flavor. This ain’t your fast food burger by any means! We contemplated getting a dessert but decided we were sufficiently full so decided against it. Our total bill came to $ 42 before tip. Win! I think my friend and I have found our new South Jersey happy hour meet up spot.

A nice casual restaurant. Good for date nights. Not really good for kids. The tables are close and its easy to be in someone’s conversation. Nothing against kids, but this place is more for grownups. What’s nice is that its close, so the option to not have to drive to Philly to eat is there. Parking can take a few minutes because the parking lot is shared by other businesses in the same complex. So take that into consideration when you arrive here.

I like this location a lot, especially because you don’t have to drive into the city and waste time sitting in traffic. The ambience is nice, and there are plenty of cushiony booths as well. I love the chopped salad with gorgonzola, as well as the cedar plank salmon. The steaks are good as well, and are generally well-cooked. The white cheddar mashed potatoes are delicious on the side, and there is a huge variety of desserts to choose from. The upside down apple pie is one of my favorites. I have never had bad service here, but then again, I haven’t been to this location since moving from the area a few years ago. It’s in the perfect location, and you can easily run into Wegman’s after eating a delicious meal.

This was the best dining experience I have had in a very long time. I was so impressed with the staff — both in the front of the house as well as the back. Wonderful wonderful food– the oysters !?! Yep, only had them this good in the south of France. The crab corn soup — - & best bananas foster in my life. Thank you for your amazing customer service and we’ll see you again very soon!!!

This place is worse than the one in NYC. I’ve been to the one in NYC but wasn’t so bad. The service was great but the food was not up to the standard. My husband and I went here for dinner on a Saturday night and he ordered some crab and shrimp combination but no shrimp and we looked carefully the shrimp was like very very tiny, even smaller than the regular shrimp. We had to say something about it and the waitress offered to put a little bit more shrimp. It’s not the point, what happened to the so called«shrimp»? If it’s too tiny, that looks like dried shrimp at Chinatown to me. Hello Mr. McCormick and Mr. Schmick, please review your menu and don’t give us a surprise. We want a happy ending, but not a happy meal! *;) Please improve or keep up with the one in NY. No heart feelings, just saying…

So disappointed with this restaurant! Went here on a Saturday night after the wait at Zinburger and Cheesecake Factory were too long. We went in and got seated right away. That should have been a clue! I ordered stuffed salmon(sounds delicious, right?) and was really disappointed. The stuffing was non-existant and the mashed potatoes that came with the fish were from a box. The chopped salad had olives in it along with blue cheese which made a weird combination. The icing on the cake was our waitress though. Not only was she way too fake friendly but she disappeared for the bulk of our meal. We never got refills on our drinks and had to flag her down for the check. Never going back.

The happy hour drinks were really good!!! I was surprised they ran out of drink types being as though I came when it first opened. The happy hour food menu was good. I had the shrimp and fries. The shrimp was cooked too fast and the shrimo came out a bit frozen, so I sent it back. This is a great date place!!! I know, I was on one!

The food is good here, and the service isn’t bad. But I have to give two stars because the price to quality ratio is so low. For the prices, I expect much more. Head over into Philly and spend the same amount on a unique and delicious experience.

I was really disappointed for the second time at McCormick’s this weekend. My wife and I sat for around 10 minutes and considered walking out before our waitress greeted us. Service was really bad right off the bat, the woman was really disinterested in us or our experience and that’s a huge red flag. The food took a good 30 – 40 minutes(we skipped appetizers since I was already unhappy with the experience so far) to come out, which I can understand on a busy holiday weekend. What I can’t understand is not seeing our waitress once during that entire time to refill our drinks or let us know what was going on. The food was mediocre, which is sad considering our first visit we ordered the same entrees and it was more flavorful then. 3⁄10. We might be back, but not anytime soon, that’s for sure.

We usually come here for happy hour. Their prices and selection can’t be beat. Im a seafood junkie so this place is greatly enjoyed by me. I’d say this place is more of a 3.5 stars. I can’t seem to give it s 4 star because the quality of some of the items have decreased. The calamari was not as crispy as i remember.

Ho Hum. Last night was probably my fifth or sixth visit to this restaurant, and I was less than impressed, for the very first time. They only thing I will say is stay away from the scallops and shrimp. Both my date’s and my Ultimate Mixed Grill(Stuffed Shrimp, Grilled Shrimp, Seared Scallops, Grilled Salmon) was incredibly overdone. The scallops were hard as a hockey puck, the shrimp was unfortunately rubbery, and the salmon was very dry and burnt on the edges. Nothing I would have expected. I have never had a piece of fish here that wasn’t done to perfection, but last night was a different story. The saving grace? The shrimp cocktail was tender and delicious, the mushroom and spinach sauté was delectable, and the crème brûlée was wonderful. I can only suggest one thing: STAYAWAYFROMSCALLOPSANDSHRIMP. Stick to a larger piece of fish as your main dish. I have never had an issue with them.

This experience confirms I will never eat at a McCormick and Schmick’s ever again. I am from Philly, have been to the Philly location before and had mediocre service, so when my girlfriends and I were craving seafood for New Year’s eve dinner and the McCormick and Schmicks in the city was booked up anyways, we made a reservation at the Cherry Hill Location. Normally, restaurants prepare well for the holiday season — not this place. We had an 8:00 reservation, and upon our 7:50 arrival the hostess(in the smallest, tightest, most cleavagey dress ever. I was actually offended by how trashy she was dressed) told us they were running«30 minutes behind». Well fast forward about an hour and 15 minutes. We weren’t seated until 9:15pm. Now I understand that restaurants get backed up on busy nights like NYE, but seriously? An hour and fifteen minutes at what is supposed to be a higher end restaurant? Our waitress even informed us that they booked 600 reservations within a 4 hour time period, and went on to say that it is «incredibly greedy» of the restaurant. And hell, I agree. You are going to literally overstuff your restaurant and guarantee reservations WELL over the capacity of your establishment just to make the bucks. When we were finally seated, it took well over 15 minutes to even get a glass of water. Everything was just all over the place, very disorganzied. Bread came out after appetizers, and when it came time to order dinner, my roommate had already picked out online what she wanted after reviewing the menu online, then noticed it wasn’t on the paper menu. The waitress then informed us that they«simplify the menu» during the holidays to get food out faster/in higher quantities. Annoying, especially since the slashed menu certainly didn’t help our food to get out in a timely manner. I ordered a glass of wine when my dinner came out, and after 15 minutes of trying to eat slowly in anticipation of enjoying my wine with the food, I gave up and just started eating without it. When I was taking my last bites, our waiter came over and said«I know you asked me for something, and I completely forget what it was.» I appreciate her honesty but it was the cherry on top of a very bad sundae. The only thing that gets this place up to 2 stars was the food. It wasn’t anything to write home about but the salmon was very good as were the mashed potatoes. Lettuce wedge for an appetizer was delish. Sadly, the very, very poor service I have experienced in 2 McCormick and Schmick’s locations confirm that I will never be back.

Thank you for being the best thing about my 5 day business trip!!! We had an amazing dinner here. Had a nice glass of wine and the waiter brought out a little sample of tuna for us to taste… it was on a bed of sea weed and it was really good… there was a nice spice to it too!!! I started out with the walnut mixed salad and substituted the dressing to blue cheese because I love blue cheese… it was really good! I also had the swordfish which had crab on top of it and was sitting on a bed of spinach. I almost changed my order when the waiter said that today was the last day for swordfish… I had visions of a lonely swordfish steak sitting in the back of the freezer. It was really glad and I was glad to enjoy it on the last day of its season here. The wait staff was really good… always seemed to be there when we needed them and our food came out in a nice timely manor.

I had a good time here for HH on Friday… the bar menu is outrageously awesome and so cheap! We had the clams with andouille($ 4.95) and heaven help me — they were phenomenal! I got mussels white($ 10) and JR C. got the $ 2.95 burger which was huge and delicious! Comes with fries, too. Friendly bartenders, quick service… I didn’t really enjoy the ambiance but my husband loved the ceiling. Mayjah problem with the price of their booze though… you know those little tiny, 4 oz cocktail glasses? Those are what my Captain and diets came in. so literally, three sips, and your drink is gone. While I understand that alcohol costs money — these motherfuggers cost $ 8. Eight. Dollars. I think you know the size of glass I’m referring to and those usually for for $ 5-$ 6. Three of those and yeah… I was pretty shocked when I saw our total bill to be something a good $ 30 more than I expected!(Husband got a Belvy martini to the tune of $ 12 and a Guinness for $ 6 — at chains, a premo martooni usually is $ 9 or $ 10…so a little surprised there!). So, this is all my fault because they kept the tab in a little glass right in front of me… I could have looked at any time but I honestly couldn’t fathom the booze would be that expensive. That’s the price you pay for some seriously sweet food deals during HH! Pro tips: Check you damn slip of paper! Stick to well booze! Get loaded before you go and drink water while you enjoy your $ 1.95 oysters!

On a Wednesday night, this joint is deserted. Rightfully so, since the food is subpar. Sure, the oysters were O.K. The scallops I ordered were actually quite good. But the tomato rissoto underneath was beat, and at the listed price there should have been more than a grande total of 4 scallops. And if a restaurant is going to boast garlic and parmisan frites, then, man, there ought to be more than a small clump of parmisan cheese in the center of this unnecessary cone presentation it brings over. Especially when the frites are nothing more than unfortunate fries lacking any texture or flavor. Come on, guys. Try a little harder.

My husband, brother-in-law, and our friend went her on a whim today. Somehow the lunch plans changed from sushi, to pizza, and ultimately ended on this place. NOT my choice, as seafood restaruants offer no variety for vegetarians, but I went along, figuring I’d try something new, and perhaps would be pleasantly surprised. Unfortunately, that was not the case. From the time we walked in, til the time we left, it was one dissapointment after another. First, even though the restaurant was almost empty, we had to wait for them to clear a booth for us, even though there were PLENTY of clear booths, the hostess clearly *had* to seat us in a specific section. As a former hostess and waitress, I get that, but I would never had made a customer wait just so I could keep the section rotation in line. You seat the people, and fix the rotation next go-round. As far as the rest of the service, it was pretty slow in general. Our waitress seemed like a nice enough person, but just didn’t have a certain level of professionalism I expect. Next, as expected, the selection of vegetarian meals was limited. In fact, I found just one — the black bean and veggie quesadilla.(Admittedly, it may be unfair for me to judge a place on this particular criteria, since their main thing is seafood, but it’s my review and I’ll judge how I want!) When the question of what was included with the meal arose(that section of the menu said it came with a choice of fries, cole slaw, or a salad), she said that that particular meal did not come with that selection, rather«Spanish stuff. Like rice and stuff.» When I got my meal, there was no rice or other«Spanish stuff» other than the quesadilla itself, and some pico de gallo. The next offense was my brother-in-law’s meal. He ordered a turkey club, and specified no tomatos. The club arrived with tomatos. The waitress blamed the cook and took it back. The cook clearly just removed the tomatos, rather than re-make the sandwich. When my BIL called her out on that, she asked«do you have an allergy?» It doesn’t matter — he asked for no tomatos! Then she tried telling him that the red stuff he saw on the sandwich was not tomato, but cranberry sauce or something. Whatever. BIL is, btw, in the restaurant industry and admittedly a tough critic, but the way she handled this situation was poor. When it was time for the check, we had a long wait. The next major problem was that she charges us for an extra appetizer that we did not order, and had to wait another 10 minutes for her to bring us a new check. Ugh. The manager did give us some $ 10 coupons to use, but I an assure you that we won’t be using them.
