Bronzatura Airbrush Studio

I’ve gotten sprayed many times when I lived in PA, but now I needed a go-​to place in Jersey. I was excited when I found Bronzatura because of their first-​timer special, the ability to book via email, and they seemed knowledgable. Upon arrival, I thought I was funny and ironic that everything is bright orange. Shouldn’t it be the opposite?
Amy greeted me and was super nice and helpful. Alexis was spraying me and led me back to the room. I should have known when they were deciding on my color, they just said «medium dark.» Most places I’ve been to mix up a personalized color based on your skin tones for a natural look and the darkness is based on layering.
Inside the room, everything is very «self-​service.» You put on a moisturizing mist all-​over and then the barrier lotion (which their brand doesn’t work that well). It was then that I found out it’s NJ state law that you have to wear underwear, so hello awkward tan lines…
Alexis was very good at spraying. My tan was super even, and she gave my face and extra layer since it tends to fades faster. Afterwards she said to blowdry my body for 5 minutes with a timer, which I also felt was awkward. I didn’t feel dry after 5 minutes but I didn’t think the hair dryer was helping either. I powdered my thighs to not stick while I was driving and left the room.
Unfortunately it started raining while I was tanning… But Amy was super nice and gave me a thin plastic poncho! The customer service is definitely great here!
However, now that I’ve waited about 12 hours and showered, the color is definitely a fake orange-​bronze color that I’m not a fan of. With regular prices being $ 45 I think it’s worth it to drive back to my old spots in PA that charge $ 35.

Hit the jackpot when I found this airbrush studio! I was looking for a place to get a spray tan for an upcoming wedding when I stumbled upon Bronzatura… what a find. The ease and availability to schedule an appointment was fantastic! Better yet was my pre-​spray interview. I was given all the option and information needed to achieve optimal results and Lex my tan operator was outstanding. She was very patient answering all my questions and addressing any concerns. She made me feel very comfortable during the spray process and she did not try and to force me into purchasing product. I would highly recommend this studio and especially Lex! Thank you again Bronzatura for a terrific service!

I went into this place with high expectations. I’ve gotten many spray tans before and carefully read reviews when I moved to New Jersey for a good spray tan place for events. I went here for a tan for my bachelorette/​birthday party.
The salon is very nice and so are the women who work there.
The instructions for pre-​tan were a bit different than what I was used to but it was fine. Unfortunately their lotion did not prevent my palms from getting tanned.
The woman who did my tan seemed very knowledgable and meticulous, which I appreciated.
However, my tan did not last! I always wait even longer than they recommend to shower so I probably wait about 12 hours instead of the recommended 8. I did not use any of the soaps or products you’re not supposed to– I followed what I know to do ad what I was told to do. Unfortunately, my bra straps rubbed off the tan on my shoulders and I was a bit splotchy– which has never happened to me before.
I may give it another try to see if it was a fluke.

Great place! The tans are so realistic and the technicians really listen to what you want and give you exactly that!
The monthly deals are awesome and the way to go. I have the one spray per month for 25 bucks. (versus paying $ 40 for a spray tan regularly)

I absolutely love this place! The atmosphere and technicians make this place superior above the rest. I’m officially addicted to spray tanning now. And it is much healthier than tanning beds.

Everyone there is so professional, when you walk inside it is so homey and not like other spray tan pleases I have been to before. The sprays are awesome and last super long.

I was trying to decide between 4 and 5 stars and decided the amount of times I’ve come here should determine. I’ve been here 5 times already this summer. I bought the unlimited for about $ 75 a month– its worth it if you’re going to get sprayed often. Every tan has looked realistic and natural. No streaking, no orange.
My only issue is with all spray tans-​they don’t last that long. You’re lucky if you get a full week out of them.
I’m definitely getting sprayed here again and highly recommend it to anyone.
