First time in Cheney and we decided to try this place. I’m sad to say that I didn’t check Unilocal prior to going, which was a big mistake. The food was not good at all and was expensive. 4 meals came with watery sauce that had no flavor. Stay clear from this place!!!

I don’t even know what to think of this place. From the outside its so cute and Italian and I had such high expectations. Then I walked in. TACKY. Like beyond tacky. Fake dusty grapes and weird pictures. Loud. The menus were greasy and you could buy everything from Asian to veal parmigiana. Why? Like seriously why? Ordered and when I got my food it was anything but good. Weird, too much salt and no spices. Meh meh meh.

Very disappointed. Went there following a recommendation from our hotel concierge. Had to wait 5 minutes for the staff to notice us. Then had to wait almost 10 minutes on the patio before we were served water and menus. After 30 minutes of neglect(in spite of reminding the staff that we were outside), we had enough and left. In general, our observation was that this place was not being professionally run. While small town family-run businesses have their charm(the primary reason we decided to dine here), this place was a let down.

I went here with most of my soccer team. The service was surprisingly quick noting there was 15 of us. Looking at Unilocal beforehand, I was worried about how the food would be the day before a soccer game(hoping no one would get food poisoning.) thankfully, everything was safe. The restaurant has pretty good proportions. The prices were a tiny bit high for the quality though. The food was average. I ordered chicken parmigiana as did a few others, and it tasted pretty good. The chicken was a little soggy, and they gave a fellow teammate Mariana instead of meat sauce, but then again we were a large group. At the end, the waiter messed up and could not figure out what happened when it was a simple solution… All she had to do was give me my check since she didn’t ring up enough chicken parmigianas. She finally figured out what happened after many of us tried to explain to her and she apologized and quickly fixed her mistake. All around not too shabby, but also not the best.

Was not very impressed. Crowded(small seating area) and overpriced. Save your money and make the drive to Spokane to go to Luigis.

Lenny’s is the worst place I’ve eaten at in Cheney. The food tasted cheap and microwaved. I wanted to like it as I am going to be living in Cheney for a while, but your money is better spent in Spokane or Airway Heights. If you must eat in Cheney, stick to Rokko’s, the Eagles’ Pub, the Brickhouse Deli, or one of the million fast food places… but skip this disappointment.

End of a tradition! Each year our family takes our RV for its annual maiden voyage to a nearby Camp ground to work the kinks out. Each year we have relished the thought of enjoying a family meal at Lenny’s, NOT anymore! The staff was pleasant but understaffed, one waitperson and the restaurant was full, good sign right… NO. Items ordered: Lasagna, Spaghetti with Italian sausage, spaghetti with spinach an aglic & Olio, Chicken fettucini Alfredo, and kids ravioli. The fettucini was flavorless and the chicken appeared to be freeze dried and tasted as though it was freezer burned, the spaghetti with spinach again flavorless and after digging I did find what I believed to be a pocket of garlic to which I am pretty sure came from a jar, my seven year old was ok with the ravioli but I tasted it as a last resort to sooth my buds and found it to be something of a leathery texture covered in sauce, the lasagna was bland and possibly prepared with a red wine gone south many moons ago. I am told the spaghetti with sausage was good. We have eaten and enjoyed this in the past and would have rated this a 3-star in the past and if I could have rated this less than a star this time I would have. This is a sad insult to my Sicilian heritage and my husband says his Scottish one too.

I really wanted to love Lenny’s. Having to work in Cheney, there are zero nice restauants and when I saw the cozy building on the corner– I was very excited to try it. I can not accurately comment on the food since I was so distracted by the horrible atmosphere. No music, awkard service and bad lighting(yes, flourescent energy-saving bulbs). Save your money for the jukebox and hot dog at the dive bar.

I can’t believe all the positive reviews on here. I guess the bar must be significantly lowered for Cheney, but even so this place falls way short. The interior is cramped – my grandma uses a walker and couldn’t get to the booth. They were out of the daily special and about 2 other things we wanted. When we finally got our food, none of it was original or even very Italian. Got some Ragu and dried spaghetti in your cupboard? Then you can recreate Lennys easily, and much more cheaply. The only thing worse than Lennys was the one time I ate at Gato’s for dinner.

This restaurant is most likely the best«sit down» meal you can find in Cheney! Being new in town, I wanted to go somewhere where I could have a nice«sit down» meal and get a nice glass of wine to accompany my food. Lenny’s food was amazing! I had the Chicken Parmesan which came with bread, salad, and a huge side of spaghetti! They definitely believe in hearty portions and have a great wine selection. They also have a great selection of desserts! All in all, this was a fantastic meal with great service and ambiance!

They do give you a lot of food. A lot of food. After my week long of working insane hours and being so mentally and physically drained I couldn’t muster up the effort to drive out to Spokane. So, I tried to find something local that I could try. I ended up getting some takeout from Lenny’s. I got a steak smothered in onions, peppers, and mushrooms, a side of fettucini, salad, and bread, for just under $ 20(not including tip). Not too shabby. I hurriedly got to my hotel, plunked the food down, and started to devour. The steak itself wasn’t the greatest quality, but then again maybe its because I had to use a plastic fork and knife that I was coming into it with a different mentality. But, overall the flavor was good, and it was more food than I could handle. I would have liked to eat in the restaurant, where the servers seemed friendly(and cute — local EWU students?). Anyways, it was pretty crowded for being near closing time, which was a good sign. Maybe when I’m in town and don’t feel like I’m ready to cry at the thought of more work I’ll actually sit down.

Cheney does not have a lot of dinning options. The four people I asked all suggested I come here for dinner. So, being the sheep that I am, I went. From the outside it looks like a road side dinner with a large outside dinning area. In side it looks like its had a couple of additions over the years and each one seems a little different from all the others. It sort of has an incomplete feeling to it. The menu is classing American/Italian with a large amount of standard American fair like cheese burgers thrown in. I’m guessing this is because dinning options in Cheney are limited. The food was passable, but the wine list is very short and not great. Prices were on the cheap side for what you get, however. The one saving grace for me was the super friendly wait staff. They were always coming by to make sure everything was OK and were very chatty. This can be a pro or a con in some cases, but at the time it was welcomed. Over all it was a average dinning experience. Since the options are so limited in Cheney, if I lived there I would have to bump my rating up one star just because I had no other choices.
