Ugly Dog Distillery

Delicious vodka. Definitely «top shelf» quality. If you want to go on a Sunday, call ahead as the owner said they’re not always open as advertised.

FUN adventure! Dewey was kind enough to give a tour to our family to celebrate a 93^rd birthday! Thoroughly enjoyed the stories and tour, and bought plenty of vodka and gin to take home for ourselves and gifts.
Since then we have discovered that our local specialty store carries only the Ugly Dog Vodka and Bacon Vodka. If you want the other flavors, you’d better stock up at the distillery. (Raspberry vodka is great with lemonade, and a few fresh raspberries!)

This is a cool place. I am not a Vodka drinker so my one star rating is not for their product — all the friends and family that we give Ugly Dog vodka to say it is one of the best they have had. We are leaving town shortly to visit family — and have an order for several bottles of bacon flavored Vodka — they love it.
My one star rating is for two things — a website that doesn’t list hours they are open — and a phone that isn’t answered when you call to find out what their hours are — not even an answering machine that says — «Sorry we couldn’t take your call — our business hours are XX to XX — please leave a message and we will call you back».
When family was last here we told them about the place and they wanted to stop and shop. But, they live West of us — Ugly Dog is east of us. We called multiple times and all the phone did was ring. With no idea of when they were open, they went out of their way and found the place open. They wondered why no one answered the phone when called but didn’t ask.
This wasn’t the first time this happened — and it happened again today. So while I understand the Vodka is first rate, to again not answer the phone or have hours on their website — or on Unilocal — is a simple thing that should have been taken care of long ago.

Very cool locally owned and operated distillery. Vodka Gin and various other spirits. Cool T shirts and other items perfect for gifts. When t=you arrived you are greeted by Ruger… the ugly dog! Owner is a good guy and happy to chat and show you the distillery. Don’t miss it.

Wow! What a find!
This is the real deal– American made vodka by a real person and it actually tastes great! Just enough bite to know you’re drinking something, but there’s no burn and no crappy liquor hangover– not without effort mind you.
The gentleman who was behind the counter was a real doll and clearly obsessed with his product. I’m looking forward to having a real conversation with him next time I stop in.
