I love the chunks of tomato in the sauce I think it’s what makes the pizza good! Cheesy fries are the best in Chelsea!

John’s is our go-to for pizza delivery. I’m a huge fan of the buffalo chicken pizza, as well as a garlic, meatball, and broccoli combo. The salads are OK — nothing too fancy. But who really needs a salad when you have good pizza? It’s the kind that is even better the next day. Thanks, John’s.

First time my roommate and I came here, it was great! Since then, we haven’t had such luck. Have ordered several times hoping for the same results but with no luck. The pizza had chunks of tomato mixed in with the regular sauce, cheese seems old, and was slightly burnt. Delivery is always quick since we live so close, but we won’t be returning due to the quality. I know you guys can do better!

I love ordering from here. I always order through GrubHub and get the Chicken Parm Calzone with a Mountain Dew. Always come to me in 30 minutes or less and hot, and always tastes great. You could never complain when you get great food at a low price. The only thing I find wrong was that I remember when delivery used the be free, but now it’s $ 1.50, which is still not as bad as most places. Anyways, can’t complain.

Our neighbor in Virginia, Maria, told us to come here as it is her brother’s pizza place. Had a pepperoni pizza and it was excellent. John and his son were very friendly told us about his dad and the business. Thanks Maria, John and Nick.

Pizza probably would have been better if it arrived in less than 2 hours. too bad the driver rather take blunt rides instead of getting the delivery done on time.

I’ve had multiple orders delivered late. The first time, they were apologetic, I raved about the customer service, and thought it was a one time thing. But it’s EVERYTIME. I get that there aren’t many options in Chelsea, but if business is that busy, get an extra driver or tell people on the phone to expect an hour+ wait.

John’s used to be my favorite pizza joint in Chelsea but it has changed a bit over the years. I still think they make the best steak and cheese in Chelsea though. The cheesy fries here are the best in the city. Others I’ve tried taste like cheez whiz was poured over them. Here they use a unique cheese blend that gives it a better taste. Not a fan of the chicken fingers here. You can tell they were the previously-frozen-in-a-box kind. Not a fan. There’s also one girl who works here who is amazing. Never knew her name but when she’s there I definitely know I’ll get great service.

Great pizza but terrible service and totally unapologetic… if you want cold pizza and a nasty attitude then this is the place for you!

This is the sorriest excuse for a pizza place I’ve tried in a very long time. I was so incredibly disappointed. I ordered a pasta dish, pizza, and chicken finger dinner plate to go. The pasta sauce had SO much black pepper and clashing spices that it was overwhelming and not the least bit tasty. Rule of thumb for a restaurant of any kind is NOT to overdo it with spices, since that can really mess with peoples taste buds and stomachs. The chicken finder dinner plate was frozen junk, very thin chicken fingers that tasted like it had been sitting for hours. The pizza was the only edible thing. –Note that I said edible– not good, or decent. Nothing I would reorder. The girls wrapping up my food at the counter were swearing and talking about customers as they helped me. Completely unnecessary and unprofessional. I get that its a neighborhood pizza joint, but that’s no excuse to give this kind of an impression at walk in.

Two hours and still waiting for my food. I understand places get busy, but it’s a Tuesday! The food was ready, according to the restaurant at 715… Which means whenever it gets here, it will be ice cold. The restaurant offered me a free Pepsi. A free Pepsi to wait 2 hours for cold food! Insane!!!

When it comes to pizza this place is definitely not my idea of good. I mean it wasn’t the worst I’ve ever had. there is so much crust that should have sauce and cheese on it lol. The sauce had chunks of tomato which I do not like but some do. Overall I wouldn’t suggest this place. But not knowing many pizza places in this city, it was sorta a shot in the dark.

I was craving a shrimp scampi pizza today and was glad to find this place! I ordered one through GrabHub app and it was quick and convenient. Pizza was cooked nicely, had a generous amount of shrimp all over it, and they were very kind to add some tomatoes for me per my request. Not to mention, it was delicious! I was also pleasantly surprised how quick my order arrived, it took less than 30 minutes! As I was very hungry, it worked out perfectly. I’ll be definitely trying other items on the menu and recommending this place to everyone!

Their pizza is one of the better options in the area. The Gio Dippers are tasty and you get a lot of them. My biggest complaint is the delivery time — food arrived an hour and 20 minutes after the order was placed online, which was 25 minutes after the stated delivery window. Other reviews have said delivery was fast, so maybe they were unusually swamped for a weekday evening, or maybe it was just an off night for delivery.

Yummy calzone, but delivery is pretty lengthy time wise. I recommend the buffalo chicken calzone

Last night in town, ordered late, I was thankful for the delivery, food was good. I ordered the chicken parm sub, the wife had the ziti. They forgot my 2 liter soda, they promised to have it delivered, I did not receive my soda after paying for it and tipped the driver well. NOTCOOL!

Thank you Unilocalers! One of the worst parts of moving to a new place is trying to find the best takeout. John’s is pretty solid! Prices are pretty low, and the portions are huge. Pizzas are good. Buffalo fingers? Not the best, but I’m picky. Will definitely try this place again.

So John’s Pizza. I can throw a rock off my front stairs and hit the front door. That’s how close we are to this place. When I first moved in, we(roommate and I) ate here a lot. Because it’s so convenient. The food was always«OK». Yes just«OK». Its a typical pizza sub shop fare, and its not the best I’ve ever had, nor is it the worst. However, since then, we’ve found places we like more that delivery here, so we rarely order unless its late at night(or we’re being super lazy). Location: Good location on Central Ave. Not on the strip so there’s always plenty of street parking out front. Store: The Store itself is small. They have a video game and claw machine in the corner. A few sparse tables and chairs for people to sit there. BUT the grill and pizza oven are right up front so you can see your food being cooked. Selection: Good mix of standard pizza shop fare. Pizza, Subs, Calzones, Fried-things… Price: Good. Its not expensive. I can get a an roast beef sub, some fries, and a small chicken finger for under 10 bucks. Staff: It’s been a while since I’ve been in there so the staff may no longer be there. BUT when I did go in there, the staff was fine. Courtesy, polite. My biggest complaint about John’s is that it always seems like they were in a hurry to put the order together. Things are always squished, or looks like they just threw a bunch of stuff into Styrofoam containers. Its always very messy. Overall, I’m sure I’ll order from them again since they are so close. I’m going to give John’s 3 stars as a ‘middle of the road’ review.

After the rave reviews I had to go check it out. I was caught off guard by how stark the inside of John’s Pizza was. There were a few tables and some vending machines. Having no decoration the walls or even a large menu to order from was a bit off putting. I know it’s a pizza place but even so it’s drabness was excessive. The inside of my car felt luxurious in comparison. The pizza was pretty good, one of the better riffs of pizza in the Commonwealth but not the best. It wasn’t overly greasy but the sauce lacked a bit of seasoning. I am glad people love this place, but I merely liked it.
