The food is good, but the regular price increases are killing my desire to be loyal to this place. Sure it is a tourist town, but sheesh — $ 3.50 for a cup of coffee or $ 9 for a mimosa. Two muffin egg sandwiches and two coffees came in just under $ 28. This is not downtown Seattle folks. They need to dial the tourist premium back a bit.

Had the Dungeness & shrimp penne, very good w/real Dungeness(you can tell when there is a little carteledge in it– that’s normal) Wife had the Nefarious Duck, very good with good mashed potatoes. Even though busy, food came faster than thought. Great atmosphere & views.

Awesome food, even better view. Love their happy hour. Their ahi tuna salad is awesome, so are the spicy shrimp. Must try their peach mojito

Good service and good food… not great /great mind you, but a safe bet to get a good meal here in Chelan(which is not always the case I’ve found). We ordered the coconut shrimp which were a little overdone, but we’re ok. Both of us had salads(I had the steak salad). I ordered my steak medium rare and it definitely came out rare, but it was still good… the taste of the salad was great — but definitely pretty spicy. Overall, good experience.

Nice atmosphere and good service food was just so so. We had coconut prawns, they were over cooked and the wings were pre-cooked, like the kind you would find in the freezer section at the grocery store.

We stayed at Campbell’s and for the last night we wanted to have a nice dinner. We saw their menu in our room and said why not. When we got there the menu has changed and bummer. We told our waitress and she apologize for it for that reason we are giving them 2 stars — great service. The reason we are giving low stars it’s because of the food. We ordered clams: they were ok. But the entrees were terrible. The chicken country was tasteless and the steak salad too. The salad came with fried onions that were stale. Not really good food overall. The service was great. I guess the waitress told the hostess about our menu disappointment that she wanted to send us dessert. However we turned it down, but she still Discounted out drinks.

One of our favorite stops in Lake Chelan! The food is consistently good — and doesn’t disappoint. The portions are large, so come hungry. My hunny had the prime rib during our last visit and found it to be flavorful and not too fatty. I had the black and blue burger, which was also very good — although I would prefer to have a slice of melted blue on my burger instead of the large chunk of firm blue that it came with. It still tasted very good, but a little too much cheese. Staff are always very friendly, and fun to visit with. We will be back!

This is the restaurant upstairs. Has a dedicated Gluten Free menu with many options. Service is consistently friendly and good. One of the better choices in the walking distance of many other restaurants in the area.

The servers seemed less interested unless you were a local or someone they knew. We sat with empty glasses for at least 10 minutes at one point. The bartender put a lime in my Hefeweizen rather than a liime. Training for the bartenders would be a good idea if you are going to serve quality beerr.

We had breakfast here while stating at the resort. The granola and apple pancake were very good, the coffee so-so. The wait staff were very friendly and attentive. The interior was definitely pub-like.

Nice you can still sit outside on a nice day. Had the popcorn shrimp — enough for 4! Side salad fresh and tasty. Typical food, nice service.

I’m not a big fan of the upstairs restaurant, there’s a long wait time for just average food. You can get a drink while you wait though, which is nice. The downstairs restaurant is much quieter, has better food, and takes reservations.

At Campbells Resort this weekend and decided to stay based on service and value. But that’s the hotel, and I digress. The Veranda Bistro and Bar is next to the hotel lobby on the second floor. Décor basic with the addition of an amazing view of the water, but the restaurant section really does look like a bar, but not divey. Hostess at the door, very sweet and friendly, as was ALL the staff. Rosa served us breakfast, and Jason, the cutie patootie, served us dinner and lunch throughout the weekend. My son loved Rosa. Breakfast: I ordered eggs benedict. OMG. the hollandaise was amazing, and made from scratch and if you can believe this, light, with maybe a hint of fresh lemon? The eggs poached perfectly and the ham was very thin, but extremely smokey and flavorful. The potatoes were average, and seasoned correctly, but just your standard russets and unpealed. My son had the pancakes and sausage($ 5.00). Pancakes homemade with wheat flour and very good and fluffy. Sausage patty, obviously not made in house, but good product. LUNCH: Fish and chips for me and chicken strips for my son — each 5 bucks(their ‘happy hou’r special). Seasoned house made fries, lightly battered… probably the best fries I have ever had. Fish was good, but a little greasy. The coleslaw was very good and dressed in a perfect blend of a creamy sweet and sour, with the addition of green onions and cilantro. My son’s chicken strips were again not housemade, but good product. All their dressings are made from scratch, and I don’t think I have ever had a better ranch. They DO have higher end dinners and more interesting lunches than what we had, but taking a four-year old to a restaurant is tricky, and getting in and out is the best way to go. Would like to try the blackend ahi tacos for lunch or the duck breast in cherry sauce for dinner.

Chelan is both high desert and a food desert. Having opted to eat at Campbell’s Resort at a least of all evils in town(after much due diligence both online and window shopping), we were asked to wait an hour on a Saturday night. No big deal, as we had no reservation. We expected little and received little. The atmosphere was clouded by a silent, large TV showing some sort of football show, distracting me and my son who faced it. Servers ran by my backside called out«corner» as they careened through a doorway. The server was very slow to get to our table and was absent for long periods. We felt unattended to. My wife and I ordered the flank steak an the beet salad to share. The flank steak, ordered medium rare, was rare. It was also drowning in some sort of teriyaki sauce, cloyingly sweet. There was bacon in the dish; I don’t know why, but it was probably the part that was most tasty, but unnecessary, if the steak had been cooked and seasoned properly. The asparagus was cooked properly, but just steamed without any seasoning, sauce, or oil. The roasted potatoes were the best part of the plate, perfectly cooked and almost perfectly seasoned. The salad was better. The beets were well cooked. The greens were fresh and well dressed. The balance was off, as we don’t eat cheese and the blue cheese was left off(that is due to our inability to tolerate dairy). A bit of saltiness, such as cured meat(prosciutto) would have completed the salad for us. Like I said, it was the least worst in thus food desert. Why? Chelan attracts a lot of people who care about food, doesn’t it? Perhaps not.

Went to the bistro for a late breakfast yesterday. For food, the crab benedict and pancakes were good however the prime rib hash was awful. The worst part was the service we received. Our server was rude… she made the other girl fill our water/coffee but the water girl only filled one glass or cup at a time when we all needed refills. We waited for 25 mins for the server to come back with our change and watched her talking to the only other table in the bistro. I will not be going back…

If I could rate this less than one star I would. Really really really bad food prepared by bad cooks Everything else we ordered was black, crispy and burnt on the outside — the appetizer, three steaks and a salmon filet that was inedible. The new potatoes on the other hand were so undercooked that they could barely be cut with a knife. The worst part was they way they treated us. We ordered a jack daniels steak which is topped with bbq sauce. We ordered it medium well and it came out raw and covered in lots of BBQ sauce. We sent it back and three minutes later the exact steak came back, still raw but the sauce was now burnt onto it so they poured more on it to cover it up. I guess times are hard so they would rather lose a customer for life than one steak that they screwed up in the first place. It truly lets you know who comes first and obviously it is not the customer.

Very nice blackened chicken Caesar. Redoing the deck, I always enjoyed sitting out there, but now looks like’s going to be a glassed in patio. too bad

Stopped by today for lunch, had the Blackened Chicken Sandwich… totally made me change my previous 4 star review. Wowza, best sandwich ever! Such awesome flavor! It was cajun-y/pepper rubbed chicken breast goodness topped with peperjack cheese and bacon on a chiabatta bun. So damn good! I’m a believer! Try this sandwich!!!

Food was pretty solid. But the highlight was the bartender. AMAZING! We were there Friday and Saturday night and the bartender was THEBEST bartender we have had — even compared to our regular haunts in our home town. And the b/f was a bartender for 20+ years, he was dually impressed. Granted, we’ve only been there in early Spring, never at the height of the season, but the bar staff are certainly well above par. Oh, and the cocktails were fabulous! They were poured QUITE well.

I liked both places. The bar was fun, we got to sit outside and enjoy dinner. I got the bourbon flank steak, very good. They made a great dirty martini, and we had the crab and artichoke deep. All very good. Waiter was very friendly and helpful. The bistro is great for breakfast. I would recommend the biscuits and gravy. BIG servings. Coffee is a little strong but can be overlooked. Bot waitresses were friendly. If your staying in the area or even at Campbell’s stop by and grab some grub.
