Johnny’s Pizzeria & Restaurant

I can’t believe it. I just had a pizza delivered, and when I opened the box it wasn’t that warm. And the left side of the pie, was on top of the right side. I think the driver needs to slow down and do his job correctly!!! Now I have to wait for a replacement pie, so I can eat dinner.

Far and away the WORST pizza I have ever had outside of a high school cafeteria. Just awful. Setting aside my preference for thinner crust, the sauce tasted terrible and there was too much of it. The cheese is a thin layer that falls off the minute you bite into it and is pretty much tasteless.
I ordered a slice to go and my server just took a slice (which had been in the case for who knows how long) and put it in a box — didn’t reheat, didn’t ask if I wanted it warmed up, nothing.
I’m generally a «any pizza is better than no pizza» person, but this slice was so bad, I couldn’t even finish it. AVOID!

Johnny’s does a fine job. The food is what we should expect from a Buffalo pizzeria. Nothing crazy unique, just a good pizza, sub, finger and wing joint.
There have been issues in the past with orders backing up and taking much much longer to get out than planned, but the staff seems professional and well organized.
Johnny’s saved the day after a horrendous experience with the God awful Tony’s Pizza on Harlem Rd and for that we thank them.
What did they do that was so special?
They simply did their job. Professionally, courteously and without any hint of childishness. And the pizza looks, smells and tastes GREAT!

Buffalo and pizza joints … they are woven into the fabric of this community. It is almost as if zoning boards require that there must be a pizza parlor in every square mile of business properties.
I drive by JOHNNY’s almost every day and so it was easy to hit the call button after a late work day.
It is clear that lots of people like JOHNNY’s because the food mountains waiting for pick up at 8pm was impressive at this clean bright pizzeria.
The Sabres game was being broadcast and I have to admit the dining area would be inviting for friends to gather to eat, laugh, talk & watch a game but I was on a one man mission for take out.
Service with a smile … I saw my personal sized pizza coming out of the oven calling my name just before being cut and boxed.
At home I was pleased with the appearance of this thicker crust pizza. It wasn’t as saucy as I like and the cheese was a little less cheese tasting (you can always tell when a pizzeria pays more for cheese) than my favorite but I was happy. Tasted good and the location means I will dial them up again!

Been here twice. Convenient since I live around the corner.
Tried the stinger sub which was pretty solid. Good price for a big loaded sub
As for the pizza– just average
Too floppy and the cheese runs off. Not sure if it’s always like that but that’s how mine was.
There are a lot other choices for pizza is pick over theirs. But the subs are great

They’re timely with delivery and have never gotten my order wrong, unlike other pizza places around the area!

Wow I simply can’t say enough I found this place Johnny’s and they are fantastic. I got Johnny’s special sandwich wow it just melts in your mouth. if you’re in the area you have to stop by the and order Johnny special sandwich!!!

This pizza is phenomenal. I work at the Holiday Inn express very close to the pizzeria so we order frequently from here. Always good quality and good delivery. Many of the pizza delivery guys are always on a run. I will keep ordering from here!

Ordered a pizza at Johnny’s recently and was disappointed.
The crust was dry, not enough cheese and no more cupped pepperoni.

Anyone who lives in NY knows that pizza is a big deal. Everyone has a different idea of the quintessential perfect slice. I believe good pizza should be like my favorite people – a little more saucy than cheesy. I took one home tonight and it met my needs. I find no good reason to reword this.
Aside from my pizza affair, I really wish to highlight my positive customer service experiences. The staff HUSTLES. I’ve worked a bit in a pizza kitchen and I know the job is demanding. These guys and women are so quick, polite, and accurate. They communicate well and it seems they have mastered a system. I usually order my food in the building so I’ve had the time to see the workers operate under pressure. The positive service keeps me returning. The slices and tacos here are my favorite.

The chicken finger sub here is the greatest thing that has ever happened to me.
A little about me: I’ve won the lotto once, was given the opportunity to go to space and walk on the moon, my wife is a supermodel, and I once punched Tom Brady in the face.

Guys it’s pizza. Obviously it’s good.
This place is around the corner from my house, so it’s super convenient. Yes, I have gotten delivery from here even though it is around my corner. SOMETIMES I’M JUST LAZY OKAY?
Anyway, yesterday I decided to pick it up since my Dad was paying for it. Figured I would be nice, ya know, drive two seconds for a $ 32 order. Seemed fair. It was poppin’! I don’t know if it’s because it was a Friday night but it was about 8pm and they were pretty busy! The workers all were generally young, probably between 27 – 47. Everyone was friendly. I was cashed out right away but had to wait an extra 10-​ish minutes because the chicken fingers weren’t done. They were busy, so I just assumed that was why.
The pizza is pretty standard, it doesn’t blow me away or anything but it’s pizza so obviously I eat it. I always ask for light sauce though when I order because it’s a little too saucy for me. I’m a saucy lady but not when it comes to my pizza.
They were decorated inside for Fall! Love when people love the season. It’s my fave. Anyway, overall it’s a really good place to have on your corner that’s for sure. It’s my Dad’s go-​to so I’ll definitely be eating here in the future.

I don’t know what people are smoking, I’m not a fan of the food here. The pizza was soggy, the wings were tiny with no significant amount of meat on them. I just felt like I wasted $ 30 on a meal here, it was not enjoyable.
There is some parking in front, they have some tables to eat at inside.

My boyfriend ordered a dozen wings and onion rings for delivery and we live less than 5 min down the road and the delivery guy shows up and hour late with someone else’s food at first Then brought soggy onion rings and no wings. So he called to get it straightened out and they said they would bring it asap. And then got a call back and they asked if he wanted a credit or the food. He said he wanted the food. Ten minutes later they called back again because they lost his receipt and forgot what he ordered!!! Wth?!

I’ve never actually been inside of the restaurant here but I’ve ordered take our for lunch here at least 6 times and EACH time it’s been impressive! I’ve had their stinger sandwich, steak tacos, pep pizza and cheese burgers. Each item just proves to be better than the last which made the place grow on me! I recommend one of their large tacos or a cheeseburger during their lunch specials it’ll never disappoint

I may be biased, I order at least once a week! I love their food! Best tasting food around! Seriously the best chicken finger subs in buffalo. As a matter of fact, every sub I have tried is great! They aren’t the biggest subs around, but a perfect balance of meat, to toasted roll, to lettuce and cheese. Their pizza is awesome, wings have a great taste, and best breadsticks and pizza logs anywhere!
Prices are moderate pretty consistent food!

Came to NY from NC and wanted to try a NY pizzeria. We were not disappointed! We were a little concerned since there were no customers in the seating, we were the only ones the entire time. However, the CONSTANT flow of people indicated we must be in for a treat. Fantastic pizza, fantastic service, thanks Unilocal for recommending this place!

Every time we come back to Buffalo my wife insists that we stop by Johnny’s for a royal sub. Being from STL I had never had a royal sub. I have to say it’s the best sub I have ever had, period.
I tried the pizza but I just can’t get into buffalo style pizza.
The wings are good!

For a long time, this pizza place didn’t exist… until recently, there was no Johnny’s… and other pizza places ruled the roost. But Johnny’s opened recently, and lately, Johnny’s has really come to the fore. In fact you could even say that «Johnny’s» has «cum-​lately». Ha. Ha. Ha. And no that’s not meant to be dirty at all, you filthy filthy people.
What to get: slices, specialty slices.
This is a really, really delicious slice. People said that it was good, and I always take that with a pinch of salt (or a pinch of tomato sauce, in this case, perhaps), but in this case they were right on the money, so to speak. It’s delicious, it’s wet, it’s sloppy, it’s hot, it’s delicious, it’s got the right amount of cheese, pepperoni and sauce, it’s cheap and cheerful, and the sauce and cheese and bread are all excellent.
I’ve only had one slice from here, but I recommend that slice to anyone and everyone as one of the better slices in town. Not everyone serves slices these days, but this place does, and more power to them because these kinds of slices are a bastion of what makes Buffalonian food some of the best in the world.

Love the turkey sub, chicken finger sub, and pizza is decent. Best part is they have loganberry! Careful when ordering oil on subs… they always put tons on every time.
