Let me start with the plus side, the view was amazing and all the workers were so nice and wonderful. Great location and cool vibe inside. Now the negative, the potato«nachos» were awful. No flavor. Just rough cut fried potatoes with crumbled chunks of cheese on top. My husband enjoyed the ribs, my son enjoyed the kids burger. I enjoyed the grilled corn, but it lacked in seasoning and flavor. It was a decent meal but not at all what I was hoping for, and it wasn’t cheap!

I’ve been coming to this place for a few years now. Up until my last few visits I was raving about it. This past week it was so bad I don’t think I’ll be coming back. Did the original owners sellout? The menu has changed. The meat serving sizes have changed(they are smaller) and its not nearly as tasty as it used to be. You use to get Texas toast with your sandwich, now it’s just a plan olé white hamburger bun. I gave it three stars cuz the okra and mac and cheese were still good — but I came for the bbq. I never complained about the prices(it’s pricey) when the place was good and gave you plenty of food. But now it’s just plain bbq and expensive too. Don’t know how the downtown location is doing but the one on the hill isn’t worth the stop anymore. I’m so sad.

Pretty good ribs. Lots for your money. If I find myself I the area again I’d probably go back. Great views while you are eating. Quick service. Easy parking. Easy on and off interstate.

My mom and I stopped on our way to Atlanta after seeing the street signs. I think this place has a sadly low rating on Unilocal but as a BBQ expert at this point, we thought everything was amazing. We got three tacos to split – two pork and one beef brisket. they make their tortillas in house and you can tell. Everything is seasoned perfectly. We also got Mac and cheese and Texas beans, great accompaniments. Had a great experience with Haley as our server, who brought us warm towels at the end. Will definitely make sure to stop by next time we are passing through Chattanooga. Ps: the goats are so funny and great!

Best chicken legs EVER. Nom nom nom!!! They are soooo juicy and perfectly crunchy skin. Its skin is also sticky in flavory goodness. The ribs were good too but the chicken legs blow everything away.

I love the half chicken and mac n cheese. Decent food at a decent price. I enjoy it from time to time. Nothing to write home about as its just a restaraunt with no real apealing themes or anything different.

Saw a billboard, checked it out here and decided to stop. So glad we did, in fact we will be stopping today as we pass through Chatanooga again as we head home. Ribs were smoky, but not overly smoky. The grilled okra and jalapeños crazy good. The cole slaw was just eh, the chills and stews were also worth it. Personally I would forgo the spicy pork taco.

This place is Fantastic! Saw the sign for it on the interstate and checked it out on Unilocal.Saw mixed reviews, but still decided to check it out and so glad we did! I had the Pork Butt Sandwich with a side on Mac N’ Cheese and it was awesome. Their selection of sauces was also really great. Also, their sweet tea is great. Would definitely recommend this place.

Nice selection of meats which includes taco options. 6 different BBQ sauces. Reasonably priced. You order and pay at the counter, but food is delivered to your table and wait staff refill your drinks. Incredibly attentive staff and super friendly!

Delicious BBQ! We tried the taco sampler, ribs and pulled pork sandwich and they were delicious. Mac n cheese, red chili and slaw were excellent. Sauce choices were to try. I definitely recommend a stop here!

While driving through, we saw this place advertised on the interstate and I checked it out on Unilocal, too. It’s easily located off the interstate and parking was relatively easy. The ordering is straight forward and done at the front register. They’ll bring the food to you at the table. This place is über casual. Find your table, explore the various vinegar based sauces they have for your liking. The prices to me are a little on the higher side for BBQ, and for what was advertised, I was expecting a bit more than what I got. The BBQ wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t the best I’ve had, either. I had the brisket and my friends had the pork sandwich. Overall, it was okay. Good, not great. The price was a bit steep for what you get. Two notable things: 1) They give you a warm towel to clean your hands and face after your’e done getting BBQ sauce everywhere. 2) The homemade banana pudding is pretty darn good, too.

This place is absolutely wonderful! First off, you get 15% off when you sit at the bar! Um, sure… I can do that! But truly the BBQ is outstanding. Not only is the shear quantity staggering, the quality of the meat as well as the awesome BBQ sauces makes for an incredible experience. The Okra and onions are amazing, as are the beans and really all the sides. The Ribs and chicken combo is the way to go. In short, go hungry, leave happy, and with enough money to buy dessert.

I was really excited because goats. But, my girlfriend and I both found hairs in our food. They need to invest in a set of hairnets and training. Super fail.

Sorry, we are out of chicken! Really? Your a BBQ chicken restaurant! Dropped in before Tennessee game today an hour before game time to get a few chicken dinners to take home. Left empty handed since they were out of chicken. Unreal It’s 2:30pm on a Saturday. You could not plan better than this? Did you get a big order earlier? If so, I don’t care. You plan, you cook it’s not that hard. Sticky Fingers has never ran out.

A rare 5 stars for me. This is for this location only. I love the food. The vinegar based barbecue sauce on the pork is great, they have other sauces but the Red is the best, and the green hot sause. The 5 stars is food, that and you can always get a table and quick service. The food is all good, I like the pork and grilled onions, but it is all great. If you like high end barbecue and get tired of the same old mushy gross pork, try Sugars.

Normally when you drive through a city and see billboard after billboard promoting a restaurant it makes us wary of tourist food. Great restaurants don’t need billboards all over town exclaiming best BBQ X amount of years in a row. Truth to be told the Chattanooga area doesn’t have much outstanding BBQ and you’ll find that Sugar’s has is strong and weak points. Fortunately, the overall dining experience was better than we expected. At this particular location the service is exceptional and eating BBQ comes with a fabulous view of the greater Chattanooga area. The BBQ wasn’t bad, but lies somewhere between a 2 and 3 star. Our greatest challenge was finding a BBQ sauce we enjoyed. Even though they have five on each table, all were extremely watery and four were vinegar based. If you’re a fan of vinegar based sauce you’ll likely love this place. As for the meats, the half chicken was our favorite, by a mile, and if you’re a chicken fan, this should be your choice. The chicken was moist and full of flavor, something we couldn’t say about the brisket or the pork. Another positive is they have a wide selection of sides, both healthy and unhealthy so everyone can find something here. The wood grilled okra and corn on the cob are both go-to’s. Fortunately, they don’t drown the corn in butter, too. The banana pudding was average. While we all have own own likes and dislikes with BBQ, if you are cruising through town and stop here I’m sure the entire family will be content. It’s not likely to become a must-eat spot every time you roll through town, but will fill you’re belly and won’t give you too much to complain about. It’s average, affordable, BBQ.

My oldest sister and her husband like to travel to Chattanooga and Nashville on a «frequent» basis to go to concerts. And it seems every time they go, they always eat at Sugar’s. «Tommy, have you ever been?» My family has a tendency to ask me that. I can finally answer yes now. The appeal to this place is the ribs, the view, and of course– the goats. Apparently, my nephews love seeing and feeding the goats. And apparently each goat has a name– they aren’t just nomads who keep the grass cut. We were on the way back from Ky, already had bbq once that day, and didn’t want to spend anymore time in Nashville than needed. I convinced my sister to eat cue twice in a day. It’s not like I can find great cue out in Colorado(unless I make it, but I don’t have the resources here) — then again, I haven’t been looking. We made it about 30 minutes before closing, thank God. I was starving! It looked like when we arrived, the goats were put up. When we walked in, we were greeted with friendly smiles. The menu consists mostly a la carte items. The portions and pricing are decent though. I ended up getting an order of ribs, a brisket sandwich, and an order of grilled onions and okra. Special shout out for carrying Coke products and Fat Tire. After ordering, they give you a number and then you sit. They have a nice patio(more great views) complete with heaters, a jukebox, and plenty of booths and tables. They even have a history on their goats. On the table, I noticed they had tons of different sauces. More on that in a minute. The food came out promptly. I went for the ribs first. They didn’t even need sauce. Perfectly sweet and smoky. Some of the better ribs I have had in this lifetime. The sandwich was decent, I doused that in sauce though. I enjoyed the vegetables as well– not everyday I see that as an option. The waitress picks everything up, as I wondered what we do with the plates. The people were friendly, the food was good, and the place overall was solid. Might have to check it out again!
