They have the best sandwiches my favorite is the Italian job with fry’s I try to get in there at least once a week for a sandwich and I don’t have a problem sitting in to eat. Also my wife and some of her friends from work eat there often. And they love the food some are first timers.

One of the best French dips I have ever eaten and my wife lover the turkey avocado. The kids meals were great and the staff went out of their way to be helpful in addition to making out standing deli food. It’s a pretty small shop but very inviting and they were playing some great classic rock in the background. While one visit to the incline railway will be enough, we’ll definitely visit again!

Found this place on Unilocal,as an out of towner. Great, tasty food, wonderful bread, good sized servings, and friendly staff. Our young children liked the Chicken kids meals and the books to read while waiting for their food. So glad we stumbled upon this place after a previous day’s meal at a chain restaurant. Love to support local business.

This is my second time visiting this place and I love it. The first time I came with some coworkers and decided to come back and bring my family. Just like me, they were completely satisfied. We drove from the Hamilton Place area just to eat here and will do it again and again. Service is friendly, the place is small and the food is simply delicious.

You wouldn’t know it by looking at it but this place has AMAZING BURGERS! and to top it off the service and people were super nice and accommodating! If ever in the area you should definitely stop in for a bite!

Not your average deli!
They have an awesome medley of light options down to hearty filling comfort food that will have you driving back for more.
Homemade smoked chicken salad for sandwiches or salad. Real Man’s pimento cheese sandwich on sourdough with bacon, tomato, and a little optional ham. Viva la Revolucion burger with bacon, avocado, pepper jack cheese and ranch on a pretzel bun.
For sides they have a butternut squash soup that will make you want go slap yo mama. They have sweet potato tots, fries and homemade chips.
They have cakes balls for desert in red velvet, coca cola, mocha, German chocolate, and peppermint.
The owner is super involved and passionate about a good experience.

The food is fresh and quite good. I ordered d a mushroom and Swiss burger with fries and a side of fried green tomatoes. The tomatoes were amazing, and the best part of the meal. The burger was okay, but the mushrooms were very good. The fries were nothing special.
The interior of the place was slightly drab, but clean. They did have some amazing cake balls in the display, however, I didn’t try them.
The waitress barely spoke with us and spent the time talking with the other girl. The food was good and the ambiance was okay. Would eat there again

Great, fresh sandwiches and wraps. Husband got a turkey wrap, I got the portobello sandwich. Both really filling, clearly homemade and affordable priced. Don’t let the no frills décor and run down outside fool you. This place is damn tasty!

Simple. Exactly what it claims to be. Great food, and a sincere owner. Tried the green burger and my girlfriend had the fried green tomato BLT which we both loved. If we could we’d come here all the time but we happened upon it almost by accident after a trip up Lookout Mountain. I only wish I could take this little deli back home with me so I could experience their excellent eats more as well as share it with others. Fully recommend St. Elmo Deli & Grill.

The chicken salad is Amazing! Nice smokey flavor with bacon. They serve Boar’s Head meats.(the best quality in my opinion) and they are steps away from the bottom of the incline railway. The sweet potato tots are worth the dollar up charge. Wife had the Sunny Berger it was really good. Our boy had the Cali Sandwich with a salad. Salad was fresh. Check out the Community Book Swap shelf.

If you go to the Incline Railway, Rock City or the Chattanooga area you should definitely stop here for lunch.
It is small and unassuming but we were very happy with our sandwiches, homemade chips and mixed fruit.
The Hawaiian Ham Wrap was excellent. I had a «make it your way» turkey on the panini grill and they did a great job. My kids both finished their grilled cheese and PB&J; something that is amazing at times.
Oh, and the price is perfect!
If we go back here, we will stop in her again.

A little small town diner burger type shop hugging the shadows of the Incline Railway…
Homemade chips and fries made the snack such a great experience.
Disheveled cases up front and neglected décor made up for by reasonable $ 5 – 8 items on menu.
Allow me to mention yet again those hot prepared ‘tato derivatives!

We stopped at this cute little deli while visiting Ruby Falls and Rock City. The owner was very friendly and could make a mean sandwich. We had the Going Back to Cali and the Italian Job. Both were delicious! Another spiff was that kids get a free grilled cheese sandwich w/​fries and a drink with a paying adult.
I would definitely come back if I was in the area!

This quaint restaurant has affordable choices and large portions. The homemade red velvet cake balls are a must! I recommend the club sandwich and the smoked chicken salad. Sides we enjoyed were the blue cheese coleslaw and sweet potato tots.
The restaurant is located in a charming area at the foot of Lookout Mountain. It is definitely one of our favorite places!
