I have shopped at Publix on Market Street for years and have always enjoyed it. The store is bright, clean, and welcoming. I also want to commend longtime employee Ashley, who is unfailingly cheerful, helpful, and accommodating to everyone who comes her way! If Publix wanted to hire a "Goodwill Ambassador" to enhance its hospitality and cordiality, they wouldn't need to: Ashley already fulfills that role perfectly and she does it naturally, warmly, and genuinely! Yay for Ashley! I hope Publix realizes how much she contributes to the friendly "We love our customers" atmosphere of its store!

i love publix. I’ve never shopped at a publix until I moved here to Chattanooga for 2 months for a school rotation. OMG. why aren’t there more around the state?! the only ones I know of so far in the state of TN is the one here in Chattanooga and the one out in west Nashville. let me just say that this is very similar to your regular grocery store /Kroger. however, I find publix’s a lot CLEANER, with better lighting, fresher groceries, and a better type of shopping environment. its never insanely crowded even for being the largest grocery store around here. the people are always incredibly friendly!(unlike some of the krogers that I’ve been to) one thing that I think gets lost into the large giant grocery chains is the baggers bringing your bags out to your car for you. I’ve only ever seen that at my small hometown in our smaller independent grocery stores. I know everyone wants to know about the PRICES at this joint. the prices are very very comparable! greek yogurt(their brand btw is AMAZING and literally the same quality as any fage or chobani type. and I actually like their brand better than the other brands) is $ 1 each. and sometimes less than $ 1 if they’re on sale! they have the normal stuff fruit, veggies, frozen and also a deli for your fresh meat, sushi bar, fresh cut fruit bar, meat/seafood bar, etc. I love publix! and there needs to be more of them around the state!

Why Unilocal review a grocery store? Because this particular one has an INSANE level of customer service. The women at the register were so helpful and work above and beyond. One ran back and checked to make sure they were out of an obscure item I couldn’t find, just in case. And when they take your groceries out for you, they never accept a tip or anything. Just genuinely helpful people in a good mood in a rainy Tuesday. So glad this publix opened up near downtown. Customer service here is just amazing.

Oh, Publix. How I love thee! Let me count the ways… My love, my count of comestibles, my prince of produce, my royal family of rotisserie chicken. You have finally come to My Chattanooga. Forget Brainerd, Hixson, Ooltewa(who really wants to go to any of those parts of town anyway, a transplanted Atlantan, turned Chattanooga downtowner wonders?). You now crown the North Shore. BI-LO, you are dead to me(but like a friend with benefits, you had to suffice). Atlantans — especially– Brookhavenites — this new store is almost identical to the one at Town Centre. Can I get an Amen? Beautiful store. NPWH. Excellent produce, essentials and fresh meats(and did I mention that amazing rotisserie chicken?). Really, there is nothing more to say. Except this: location, location, location. Off to grocery shop, y’all. See you in a couple of days.

Finally a great grocery store comes to the North Shore area of Chattanooga. While this is still not in my neighborhood, it’s much closer than the other Publix’ in Chattanooga. I really enjoy Publix. Lots of different products to offer, great produce. I could spend hours just walking around. I was impressed with how big the store is and even more impressed with the parking lot. I had been wondering how they were going to fit a full-service grocery store in this area. Good job!
