McKenzie Arena

A decent enough place. I prefer to see sporting events in here rather than concerts. The audio is just so loud that there is a constant rattle through the whole building. It’s truly painful to the ears. The only way I’ll go to a concert there is to wear ear plugs. But mostly I avoid it. Just saw a basketball game here though and there truly aren’t that many bad seats in the house. There are a number of lower end of the upper deck seats that are obstructed by spotlights that are not in use. Seems to me like that would create a better customer experience to get rid of them and bring them out when needed or move them back and out of the way of the viewer.

Drum line competition for SAPA. Parking was convenient and reasonable.

Great place for Rodeos, concerts, monster truck shows, basket ball games, wrestling events, and you name it. I have been here for several of these events.
I usually park a few blocks from here for free at a meter headed down town. You might have to walk a bit which I don’t mind. But, it’s easier leaving.
The concerts that come here have always been entertaining. The rodeos are always fun to attend too.
The concession stand over charged me for what I got. I showed them the sign behind them of what they should be charging. The sign reads; nachos, hot dog and coke $ 8. But they charged me $ 9. Why do people have to go this. They know the prices. So, it doesn’t hurt to check the prices before you pay here. They did refund me in cash the difference but the one that did it, did not apologize and looked away the whole time I was talking to her manager. So, my guess is that it was on purpose. I’m just saying. I will not be going back to that concession stand. I’m going to Tacomac instead, then I’ll come here.
In summary, they do get good acts to come here. They also have great events. So I recommend Mckenzie Arena.

We were here this past weekend for UTC Graduation. I didn’t expect a whole lot coming here as I knew it was old and expected it to be showing age. I wasn’t disappointed. The arena is in desperate need of updating and remodeling. The seats are extremely uncomfortable especially for a 3 – 4 hour event like a college graduation.

It’s not bad for a concert… it gets really hot in there and the concession stands aren’t great.
