The food isn’t great and I wish I hadn’t eaten there. The service was about as good as the food.

Good food, decent portions and lovely flavors… must go place ! The Unilocal ratings of 4+ do justice

The food is out of this world, and as someone said before the portions are generous on top of it being affordable. But the best part to me is the kind staff. Nothing makes a place seen more inviting than friendly service and kabobster has a generous portion of that to boot.

Definitely never going to again. Got the gyro and a side salad and the spanokopita as another side and baklava– All to go. Thought the prices were a bit too much to begin with and was a little skeptical. I shouldn’t have gone. The gyro had a few chunks of meat, I use the word«chunks» because the meat appeared to be in chunks instead of slices. Also not many pieces of meat. The greek side salad consisted of a couple pieces of lettuce and maybe one olive. They forgot to put in the spanokopita and I realized it too late after I had already driven home. The baklava came out of a pre-made larger bix clearly ordered from a food distribution company, not even home made. Very poor experience and not at all worth it. Felt ripped off when I left.

I ordered take out from here and I love that they have a drive-up window to pick up your order. This places is on Gun Barrel which is always busy, always backed up. I really try to avoid this area whenever possible but I had been wanting to try Kabob-ster. I ordered a gyro and hummus and a veggie wrap. They were all very good. The hummus needs to come with more pita to dip with, or some veggies. Service was very friendly and the guy at the window was very fast getting everything to me. Would like to go back and eat in to have a better perspective.

Not a real what you would call fan of middle eastern food, but from what I have experienced, this was definitely the best bang for the buck. First things first… just because I gave this place 5 stars, does not mean it is a 5 star restaurant. It is located inside of a strip mall. So do not go here expecting anything more than cleanliness and good food. Which was my experience, and the food was the best middle eastern food that I have ever eaten for the price; hence the 5 stars. I tried the gyro, falafel and spring rolls. Was not a fan of the spring rolls, but I had never had this kind before and really don’t know what to compare them to. The falafel was great. Crunchy, tender, tasty, just great in every way. The gyro… omg was it great! Just the bread alone was heavenly. The meat was so tender flavorful and a good amount. The sauce was a nice addition but not something that really made any improvement to the gyro because it carried itself. Yes, I said it, but maybe that’s a negative on the sauce and not a positive on the gyro? Take it how you want, I’m not sure either haha. Staff was friendly Price was surprisingly low, and portions were ample.

I loved it. Everyone especially the man who appeared like a manager were so nice. The food was delicious!!! I never even liked hummus but this one is so good. This rice is like super delicious. The salad was pretty good. The kabobs were delicious. The worst thing about this food was sharing it with my husband. Also those bread things– not sure what they are called were so good. Dining area was clean. Overall score = excellent. We live near by so we will be ordering from now on.

Really good food! Super fresh, not greasy, and authentic as far as middle eastern food goes. Very casual atmosphere(they serve on plastic plates). Reasonable prices.

The best hummus I’ve ever had… and I eat hummus everywhere. It was super clean in there. As the manager was leaving for the day I heard him tell everyone to make sure they clean, which was apparent they do. The skewers weren’t fabulous, but the sides were all really great. Next time I go I’m just getting sides! It was kind of awkwardly silent and bright in there as far as atmosphere goes. But we will definitely be back!

Absolutely one of my favorites. Love the family who owns this place. So kind and caring. The food is delish. They really listen to you. They catered to an event I hosted and it was awesome. I probably eat here once a week. I’d more I could. One of the best Mediterranean place in town hands down. Home cooking at its best.

Really, really, really great. Did i say really? The menu is Halaal and the food is fresh and lively. For the first time in many many years I’ve finally found a restuarant that reminds me of all the middle eastern restaurants and flavors that i used to enjoy as a kid in Detroit. Try the … well everything.

Food is zabihah halal. We were traveling from northeast and stopped in TN. For price and since not much of halal food is available, this place is definitely a good bet. Portions could be a bit bigger for price, however, quality was good. Do definitely give it a try!

Was in town on a business trip and as always, had to find the cleanest/healthiest food option! About half way through my trip, I discovered this spot. I went 3 days in a row, and all three times I went with the chicken skewer meal with hummus and rice. Pita is included. My first and third visits I would give a 5. My 2nd visit I give a 3. The chicken was dry.(I’m guessing it was already cooked and placed on a warmer.) The 3 young staff members there I interacted with were super friendly. The lady I presume to be the owner wasn’t so friendly. I saw her walking around and she never spoke to me which was a little rude. All in all, I recommend it if you’re looking for a healthy food option while in Chattanooga!

Its not often that I write a bad review on a restaurant but unfortunately this is going to be one of them. I had recently had Kabobs at several other places while on vacation and I was excited to see when this place opened. My wife and I stopped in on a Wednesday night for a break from the normal chain restaurants on Gunbarrel. The reviews looked good and we were anxious to try it. I ordered 2 chicken Kabobs with a side greek salad and another side(sorry I can’t remember the name). My wife got Lamb with a Greek Salad and a rice side item. This is not«fast food» meaning that the food is not pre-prepared so there is a wait after ordering at the counter. All the better we thought as we watched the same person that took our order, prepare the food on the grill. Our food was brought after 10 or so minutes. I went to the self serve counter to obtain the plastic utensils where I realized there were no forks. So I went to the counter to alert the staff that we needed forks since our meals consisted of salad and other items that needed a fork to eat. He informed me that he was sorry but they were out of forks and had been all day and there was not much he could do. At this point I was a little surprised to hear them admit they were out of forks and more so that they had been out all day, despite being ½ mile away from Target and many other stores that would sell these items. I even asked why they had not addressed the problem yet if they knew this all day. Even though I was not happy with having to eat a salad with a spoon I sat down to attempt it anyway. As I looked at my plate that was over half covered with leafy greens, I realized that it was not going to be easy. So I picked up one of my Kabobs and took a bite of the«chicken». It was horrible! In fact I am pretty sure it was not even real chicken. It tasted like it was some sort of salty artificial chicken. I finished the bite in my mouth and asked my wife to try it before I told her my opinion. I watched as she took a bite then instantly had to expel it from her mouth because it was so bad. She also felt as if it was not even real meat. I tasted her lamb and it was quite normal though not exceptional it was at least edible. Her rice side dish was slightly below average however. Just as with my dinner she could not eat the leafy salad with a spoon so it sat untouched. So at this point I had«chicken» that I don’t want to eat and sides that I can’t eat without a fork so I decided to ask for a refund for my dinner. I took the plate back to the counter and asked for a refund. This seemed to bother the staff but I explained that the chicken was not acceptable and the missing fork prevented me from eating the leafy salad. With some reservations they finally gave me a refund with my full basically untouched plate of food on the counter in front of them. We put her dinner in a to go box and left. The staff seemed very inexperienced but I don’t think the problems were theirs rather the managements for not properly stocking the forks. I am not sure who is responsible for the unsatisfactory chicken however. Overall this was a very disappointing experience and although I only ate one bite of the chicken Kabob it left me with a lingering bad taste in my mouth that lasted the rest of the evening(literally). As much as I like this type of food, I don’t think I can return.

First time at kabob-sters. Initially walking in the smell of the restaurant was less than pleasant. Smells of dirty cleaning water. The tables stunk and we’re greasy. Ordered our food. The customer service was great. Welcoming with smiles and cheerful attitudes. Food is made fresh to order. We ordered the gyro wrap with rice and french fries. I haven’t had a decent gyro since I went to Chicago. This place however, has a decent gyro. Best in town thus far. The sauce was somewhat bland than what I’d like but still edible. Will def come here again. The one Star deducted is because of the smell and greasy tables.

Loved it! We went on Mother’s Day. I wanted to try something new and we ALL wanted to avoid the long lines and crowds. My husband an I had the kabob feast with a grape leaf appetizer. Everything was delicious. It was beautifully prepared and served quickly. The staff was very friendly. My ten year old picky eater discovered that he loves Kufta and hummus on pita. Total win!

I was giving this place a four but changed my mind. Read on… Food was great. Had the kabob feast, gyros, and some apps(grape leaves and falafels. Service wasn’t super fast but food was worth the wait. Ordered the baklava sampler and here’s where the star droppage occurred. Yes, I know droppage isn’t a real word but you get the idea. I will state for the record that I consider myself a little bit of a «baklava elitist». It’s one of my favorite desserts and I eat it everywhere it’s offered. These were simply ok. I wouldn’t turn into down if offered again but I would drive out of my way just for the baklava. So…in summary, try this place, as long as you’re not in a hurry. The food is good, and place is clean. Try the baklava just because it’s baklava but don’t expect to call your mom to tell her about it.

In the mood for something different? Give this place a try. I had the combo kabob plate. The chicken and beef kabobs were good and served with hummus, pita bread, and a Greek salad. Overall it was good and a pleasant experience. It was better than I expected for this type of ethnic food in Chattanooga.

Really yummy, fresh food. The first time we tried this place, it was late in the evening and we had just moved here and were unfamiliar with the hours and locations of places serving this type of food. Unilocal came to the rescue and sent us here. When we called, they were only open for another 15 minutes but went ahead and took our order and had it ready for takeout(even though by that time they had technically closed). They went above and beyond for us and the food was fresh and tasty! Our subsequent visits have yielded similarly good food and friendly service.

This was a pleasant surprise. Went here for lunch and got a gyro plate. It was very delicious, the meat was not dry, and there was a ton of food. I’m definitely adding this place to the list of quick and affordable lunches. Also some friends had a wrap and falafels and really liked it.
