THEGOOD: They know how to cook their protein. The pork chops were excellent(if a bit salty) and the chicken in the chicken parmesan was amazing.(We were surprised that they didn’t bread it, but tasting it made us believers.) And their greens, baked apples, and fries were all delicious. THEBAD: Their pasta was so overcooked that it had the consistency of pudding — you couldn’t even wrap it up on a fork without it falling apart.(We asked for a recook, only to be told that it’s ALL like that, so we ordered something else.) And their«cheesecake» is a sad no-bake Jell-O mix. Basically, stick to meat with unboiled sides and skip the dessert and you’ll enjoy yourself.

If you are looking for cafeteria style food served at your table then this is for you. Not great food but not horrible either. I had the pork chops and liked them but the sides left much to be desired. Mashed potatoes tasted like instant and the baked apples were somewhat bland. The menu has lots to choose from including some Greek options. It’s worth a try but will prob go to Cracker Barrel just down the street next time.

We were not impressed. The place has an odd old worn out feel. Prices for the amount of food is very good. Service was OK not great. We live under 1 mile from them and we keep driving. Great for family groups. Doubt we will go back.

We had a work week planned in Chattanooga, Tn., that I was not looking forward to. We ended up booking rooms with hotels located in the ‘east ridge’ area. Once I was settled in, I checked with Unilocal, hoping to find a restaurant close to my hotel. I was searching for a healthy alternative to the local fried-chicken — mac-N-cheese. The Epicurean Restaurant fit the bill nicely. The selection was very good, the prices were excellent. I phoned in my To-Go order about 30 minutes before they closed Epicurean management was very accommodating and advised me to arrive before 9:30PM to pick up my dinner. I selected the Trout for myself and the Pineapple Chicken, for my co-worker,. For sides, we had the baked apples, coleslaw, squash casserole and a salad. Everything was fresh, properly prepared — cooked and quite delicious. The service was terrific, the owner greeted me at the cash register and told me his story about how he started his restaurant so many years ago. I felt as though I had been welcomed into the community. How nice ! I plan to return to dine with them again on this trip.

Well, I was going to review while I was in the restaurant but could not get Internet signal. Anyway, look at our pictures of our dinner. I got pork chops because of other reviews and am glad I did. It looked and taste like two thick steaks when they brought it to me. I was very happy with the way it taste as it was as close to perfect as a pork chop can be. It was moist and juicy yet very tender. My friend got New York Strip steak. Look at picture I took. Now that is a good steak. She enjoyed it and she is very picky. And if she likes a steak that a restaurant cooks, then they have done a great job. This is a hidden gem of East Ridge, TN. We found this after shopping at SAMs Club. We wanted to go to a restaurant that we have never been to and Unilocal took us here. Superb restaurant, wished we live closer.

Greek American style restaurant family owned with great food. I ordered the double pork chops and was I surprised they were about a inch thick and very tasty. My wife order the baked salmon and it to was equally tasty and the prices where very moderate compared to what we had paid for a similar experience. Great meal and moderate prices.

This place might not be the best restaurant in Chattanooga, but I absolutely love it. It’s a great deal and they have the best pork chops I’ve ever had(And I might have had a few pork chops). You know it’s a great deal when you see all the seniors in the dining room!

Spanakopita isn’t rare on Greek menus, but sometimes I’m just not feeling the spinach. But finding tyropitakia on a Greek menu is a perplexing rarity. Except in the case of the Epicurean which not only offers both, but does it with excellence. The little flaky triangles of phyllo with creamy cheese centers are served with all entrees. But had a serious tyropitakia craving and got the appetizer and shared the dozen with the table of four. My wife had the stuffed chicken, cheesy baked squash, and green beans and enjoyed everything. My father-in-law had the vegetable soup and considers the cornbread that comes in the bread basket a entrée in-and-of itself. My mother-in-law had a bacon wrapped filet, the baked squash, and baked apples. In addition to the cornbread the bread basket also had hot and soft rolls that were delicious. Since I need something as an entrée I kept it simple and got a burger, which was decent(and bigger than I expected)
